Pokemon Sky Twilight Beta Version 3.0 — Detailed Walkthrough

by Olivia R.

(Note: this is a ROM hack, I do not own this and will not distribute this hack, but I am the author of this walkthrough so if you use it credit me.)

As a reminder, you need a clean Pokemon Fire Red ROM (please Google it), a patching utility like NUPS and a GBA Emulator (I used VBA) to play Pokemon Sky Twilight (you can also google a pre-patched rom too).

This will be a strict text walkthrough of the rom hack featuring what you need to do to get through the game as well as the trainers and their Pokemon. And always, expect spoilers in this walkthrough. You have been warned.

Begonia Village [BEGO]

At the start, there's a Potion in the PC and there's a Town Map here. Head downstairs and try to leave to get your Running Shoes. Professor Neptune is the name of the professor here (shame that you don't get to see what he looked like in the intro, the intro is all black). Leave the house. To the east is a house belonging to Tobias (this isn't the Tobias from the anime but a character your character was friends with as a child). You can't go anywhere else, as a kid blocks one house and your character refuses to enter either the school or the other two routes, so enter Tobias' house. Prof. Neptune is here. Talk to him and he'll reveal Tobias is actually missing. He was gifted a Zorua to play with but never came back. Begonia Cave comes up, and it's a place no one has been to for years as it is dangerous. You now get a choice of starters, and it's the Hoenn starters Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip. Get one, you also automatically get the PokeDex and the national extension. Plus your starter holds an Oran Berry. Leave and you can now head east.

Route 1 [RTE1]

Mons found:

  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Rattata: 30%
  • Starly: 30%
  • Wurmple: 30%
  • Wingull: 10%
  • Buizel: 10% (surf)

Just head through the grass and enter Begonia Cavern.

Begonia Cavern [BEGC]

Mons found:

1st cave:

  • Zubat: 45%
  • Roggenrola: 45%
  • Salandit: 10%

2nd cave:

  • Zubat: 100%

Notice the boulders to the east and take note of them for later. Head north. A Nurse Joy is here, which is nice considering there is no other way to heal as of now (I noticed that you can't go home to heal with mom in this hack). Enter the next cave to find Tobias. So the reason he's here is because he heard stuff and these people in yellow are doing shady stuff with a Pokemon. He ran because he doesn't know if he's ready to battle them, and wants to know if you can help him feel ready so yeah he's going to battle you.

PKMN Trainer Tobias: Zorua Lv5, P120

So he's not ready. He'll let you deal with the bad guys. Enter the next cave to see who it is, they are all around a Noivern. Talk to the first one to battle.

??? Grunt: Poochyena Lv5, P140

They'll grab the Noivern and immediately leave. You're done here so leave too. Head back to Begonia Village. The school is now open. No one is interactable except the teacher, who recognizes you as a former student. You'll also battle her.

Teacher Miss. Smith: Alolan Meowth Lv5, P100 and TM10 Hidden Power

Now head north.

Route 2 [RTE2]

Mons found:

  • Rattata: 30%
  • Starly: 30%
  • Wurmple: 30%
  • Fletchling: 5%

Shop:

  • Poke Ball: P200

  • Antidote: P100
  • Parlyz Heal: P200

GLITCH: Inspecting the sign near the PokeMart softlocks the game.

The lab is to the east, as is Route 4. Enter the lab and talk to Prof. Neptune, confirming basically what Tobias here is talking about. He'll tell you that these guys are known as Team Voltage, and they want to kidnap rare Pokemon to do terrible things. And Noivern is a rare Pokemon here that fits what they want. Accept this job to get Noivern back to get Poke Balls. And now you have a choice between Route 3 and Route 4. Where first? I started with Route 4 to the right.

Route 4 [RTE4]

Mons found:

  • Poochyena: 30%
  • Fletchling: 30%
  • NidoranF: 15%
  • NidoranM: 15%

Lass Nova: Fletchling Lv8, NidoranF Lv8, P128

A Great Ball is in the middle of the route.

Aroma Lady Giselle: Mareep Lv8, Flabebe Lv8, P224 Black Belt John: Pancham Lv9, Shroomish Lv9, P216

If you go to the gatehouse, you'll see Prof. Neptune, who gives you the Go-Goggles. He then leaves, and you can enter the Amaryllis Desert. Let's detour north to Heather Town first.

Heather Town [HEAT]

Shop:

  • Great Ball: P600
  • Super Potion: P700
  • Revive: P1500
  • Antidote: P100
  • Parlyz Heal: P200
  • Burn Heal: P250
  • Ice Heal: P250
  • Escape Rope: P550
  • Super Repel: P500

GLITCH: It's actually possible to go through the town signs. Thankfully it doesn't softlock the game.

There's a Pokemon Fan Club here, you can talk to the chairman to hear him talk about his favorite "Lapidash", and you get a Bike Voucher for it. Though since Cerulean City isn't in the hack, where would you get a Bicycle? The Name Rater is also in this town. Route 5 is to the west, and the Heather Forest is to the north.

Heather Forest [HEAF]

Mons found:

  • Sewaddle: 30%
  • Venipede: 30%
  • Pichu: 15%
  • Shroomish: 15%
  • Scyther: 5%
  • Heracross: 5%

Bug Catcher Nelson: Sewaddle Lv9, Venipede Lv9, P108 Aroma Lady Bonnie: Inkay Lv11, P308 Ace Trainer Adriel: Poochyena Lv11, Electrike Lv11, Houndour Lv11, P396

There's an Antidote to the south. You can't head further since you need Cut, so go ahead and leave. Next detour is in the desert. Remember there's a sandstorm weather condition when you go there.

Amaryllis Desert [AMAD]

Mons found:

  • Sandile: 30%
  • Trapinch: 30%
  • Drilbur: 30%
  • Darumaka: 5%
  • Cacnea: 5%

GLITCH: Sandile does not have a gender and although you can battle and/or catch Drilbur, sending a Drilbur out to battle softlocks the game.

Hiker Rohan: Roggenrola Lv9, Drilbur Lv9, P324 Crush Girl Regina: Machop Lv10, Cacnea Lv10, P240

Get the Super Potion. There's a ruin entrance, but a boulder is in the way.

Kindler Lee: Growlithe Lv9, Sandile Lv9, Darumaka Lv9, P288

Appropriately, TM37 Sandstorm is on the way to another ruins entrance. Enter it and talk to a guy here to battle (glitch: there's a tile in front of the entrance you cannot cross for some reason, move around it).

Pokemaniac Alexander: P576 and HM01 Cut

  • Mega Heracross Lv12, Mimic, Cut, Endure, Fury Attack

Of course you need a certain badge to use this HM. That's another detour down. Let's try Route 5 west of Heather Town.

Route 5 [RTE5]

Mons found:

  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod)
  • Poliwag: 100% (super rod)
  • Psyduck: 100% (surf)

  • NidoranM: 30%
  • Machop: 30%

  • Psyduck: 100% (surf)
  • Horsea: 60% (good rod)
  • Flabebe: 30%
  • Budew: 30%
  • Cutiefly: 30%
  • Buizel: 20% (good rod)
  • Azurill: 5%
  • Igglybuff: 5% (it's spelled Igglypuff for some reason)

A Revive is to the north.

Bird Keeper Ashton: Starly Lv9, Fletchling Lv9, Rufflet Lv9, P216 Battle Girl Emma: Meditite Lv10, P240

North is Route 7. South is TM32 Double Team.

Picnicker Jayla: Azurill Lv9, Sewaddle Lv9, P180 Aroma Lady Erin: Cutiefly Lv10, P280

We'll head south first.

Route 3 [RTE3]

Mons found:

  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod)
  • Poliwag: 100% (super rod)
  • Psyduck: 100% (surf)
  • Goldeen: 60% (good rod)
  • Poochyena: 30%
  • Fletchling: 30%
  • Horsea: 20% (good rod)
  • Buizel: 20% (good rod)
  • Budew: 15%
  • Flabebe: 15%
  • Shinx: 5%
  • Mareep: 5%

Note that if entered from the north, you'll be told that you shouldn't be going to this path, and will actually be forced south. It's kind of interesting how this is the only instance of this here and not going the other way around prevents you. Anyways, we'll be checking this route now.

Youngster Edward: Zubat Lv5, Shinx Lv5, P80

The item here is a Poke Ball.

Youngster Tyrese: Rattata Lv5, Starly Lv5, P80 Lass Emily: Budew Lv6, P96

Get the Potion and head west.

Columbine Town [COLU]

Shop:

  • Poke Ball: P200
  • Potion: P300
  • Antidote: P100
  • Parlyz Heal: P200
  • Awakening: P250
  • Burn Heal: P250
  • Escape Rope: P550
  • Repel: P350

First town with a gym, one woman says this is a Fighting type gym. It also has a Bike Shop. If you've been following the guide, you already have the Bike Voucher so now you have the Bicycle upon talking to the clerk. A girl in one of the houses will trade a Mimikyu for a Mareep. A trainer outside the gym says it's really easy, so you'll challenge her because, well, she's in the way.

PKMN Trainer Kylie: Fletchling Lv7, Riolu Lv9, P216

Now time for the Fighting type gym.

Youngster Henry: Machop Lv7, Meditite Lv7, P112 Black Belt Daniel: Scraggy Lv7, P168

Leader Vincent: P1200, Brawl Badge, and TM01 Focus Punch

  • Crabrawler Lv9, Bubble, Rock Smash, Leer
  • Croagunk Lv9, Astonish, Taunt, Poison Sting
  • Hawlucha Lv12, Hone Claws, Tackle, Focus Punch

This allows you to use Cut. You now have two options to go to at this point. First is Route 7, which is north of Route 6 (it is possible to go here before battling Vincent), or you can go through the rest of Heather Forest to the other side. We'll take the former route for now. Route 7 doesn't need Cut at the moment.

Route 7 [RTE7]

Mons found:

  • Scraggy: 30%
  • Meditite: 30%
  • Abra: 15%
  • Ralts: 15%
  • Phantump: 10%

Black Belt Zane: Makuhita Lv13, P312

There's a Nugget on this route.

Psychic Travis: P260

  • Abra Lv13, Teleport, Hidden Power

Aster Town [ASTE]

Mons found:

  • Tentacool: 100% (surf)
  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod), 20% (good rod)
  • Horsea: 60% (good rod), 84% (super rod)
  • Crabrawler: 20% (good rod)
  • Gyarados: 15% (super rod)
  • Shellos: 1% (super rod)

Shop:

  • Poke Ball: P200
  • Super Potion: P700
  • Potion: P300
  • Antidote: P100
  • Parlyz Heal: P200
  • Awakening: P250
  • Burn Heal: P250
  • Escape Rope: P550
  • Repel: P350

One person here would trade a Trapinch if you have a Shroomish. You won't be able to head into Aster Tower or the route to the west at this time. The gym is open, though. The leader is Charlotte, a Psychic type user. She's in the room beyond the teleporter, but get this, you can go BEHIND the teleporter and actually avoid a forced back-to-back battle by going through the north wall.

Channeler Ronnie: Girafarig Lv15, P480 Psychic Tori: Slowpoke Lv13, Spoink Lv13, P312

Leader Charlotte: P1800

  • Ralts Lv15, Growl, Confusion, Double Team
  • Mr. Mime Lv15, Doubleslap, Mimic, Psywave
  • Sigilyph Lv18, Whirlwind, Psybeam, Air Cutter

But you don't get a badge after this. Wonder why? She even teleports out. If you talk to people outside, they mention how a girl who's a gym leader often goes to Aster Tower to pray for a dead Poliwag. And since you beat a female gym leader, this must be Charlotte. Go to Aster Tower.

She apologizes for running off, explaining about her Poliwag and how Team Voltage was responsible, not to mention they used a Zapdos on it. She'll give you the Calm Badge, which actually allows you to use Surf! Though we don't have that HM yet. Plus you get TM04 Calm Mind as well. We're now done here. Next, we can detour to Route 19 to the west.

Pokemaniac Christopher: P960 and HM03 Surf

  • Mega Lapras Lv20, Mimic, Confuse Ray, Ice Shard, Surf

Ice/Dragon is the typing of Mega Lapras. Anyways, this was certainly important because now you can use Surf. We do need to backtrack, of course. Back in Amaranth Path, go to 4F and surf east of the bridge to get a Rare Candy. Surf west of the bridge and take the ladder. This leads to a Lv30 Dragonair. In this hack there are mid-stage evolutions of pseudo-legendaries to find in special chambers. Go to 3F and get TM39 Rock Tomb east of the pond. That's all there is for Surf backtracking for now, aside from catching a number of water mons. Now you have two options. We can go through Heather Forest, cutting the trees on the way, or we can head east of Route 1. Considering that going east of Route 1 will lead to the east half of the game, let's get the Heather Forest route out of the way first. There, cut the tree and head west.

Bug Catcher Alan: Wurmple Lv11, Scyther Lv11, P132

Get the Super Potion, then backtrack and go east.

Youngster Keegan: Pichu Lv10, P160

Another Super Potion is to the east, but it doesn't remove the item. Inspect it again and you'll get TM06 Toxic. Head south.

Pokemaniac Sebastian: P768 and HM02 Fly

  • Mega Aerodactyl Lv16, Mimic, Supersonic, Bite, Rock Throw

We're gonna need the badge from the Sage Town gym to use Fly of course. This gym deals with Dark types. The leader is Benjamin, and I think you're supposed to go to this leader first, as his team is actually lower level than Charlotte's. The gym is like Koga's gym; the best way to reach the leader is by going in a zigzag path, starting from the lower right.

Camper Archer: Poochyena Lv12, Sandile Lv12, P240 Ninja Boy Martin: Pawniard Lv13, P156 Ace Trainer Walter: Murkrow Lv12, Shuppet Lv12, P432

  • Nuzleaf Lv14, Pound, Harden, Nature Power
  • Sneasel Lv14, Taunt, Quick Attack, Icy Wind
  • Absol Lv16, Scratch, Pursuit, Quick Attack

With this, you can now use Fly. Head back to Begonia Village, then Route 1, then east!

On this island, you'll find out that the gym leader, William, is an Electric type leader, but that he's not here and that he's in New Freesia. Also you can get the Good Rod from the NW house. The middle building houses both the fossil guy and a Pokemaniac you can battle.

Pokemaniac Matthew: P1056 and HM05 Flash

  • Porygon-Z Lv22, Psybeam, Recover, Thunder Wave, Flash, holds Mega Stone S

(The Porygon-Z line is Normal/Psychic, but when this mega-evolves it becomes Electric/Psychic)

New Freesia is on Route 10 to the east.

VoltageAdmin Violet: Mightyena Lv26, Salandit Lv26, Electabuzz Lv30, P1200

Noivern escapes after this. Time to leave. With the hideout finished, where to next? You still can't head east of Edelweiss. In the midst of all this I did forget that there were areas you can access with Strength now, so we'll take on those areas first. First place to go is the Amaryllis Desert. One of the temples was blocked by a boulder, you can move it to head in. This is just a small cave with a triangle (again, you need to go around the first tile because it blocks you for some reason) which releases a Gabite at Lv30. The next place of interest is actually Begonia Cavern. Let's head down there now and move the boulders at the east side, finding a staircase going down.

One guy wants to trade a Pawniard for a Lampent. Anyways, not much in this town, but someone is blocking the gym. He knows you're stopping Team Voltage, and explains he himself used to be a part of the team, saying they were once heroes until they thought of using rare Pokemon, finding their Zapdos by catching it in a rope, turning it evil. He even mentions the story of Charlotte, who we knew about. He then mentions that Team Voltage is currently taking over Primrose HQ. You probably weren't able to go there due to the circumstances, but now we know that the scientist may be working with Team Voltage. Right now, he'll leave the gym so you can do the challenge, and you also have to go to Primrose HQ afterwards. But before he leaves, he'll give you a Master Ball! Well, we don't know who this man is yet, in any case, we can now challenge the seventh gym, with its leader being Theodore, a Steel type user.

One more badge to go, but one more errand we have to do too. Back to Primrose City, time to head into Primrose HQ. You're gonna need Strength here.

Go straight to the scientist that blocked your path and talk to him. He'll just get out of the way without any trouble.

Team Voltage Grunt: Tynamo Lv29, Shuppet Lv29, P928

So I'm sure that's a glitch.

Team Voltage Grunt: Houndoom Lv30, P960

And the next Voltage Grunt...apparently is supposed to be the one with the Tynamo and Shuppet from before. If you battled the "grunt" when trying to inspect the item, this grunt won't battle. So this has to be some kind of glitch. Anyways, move to 4F.

Team Voltage Grunt: Breloom Lv29, P928

You'll need Strength to pass.

Team Voltage Grunt: Nidoking Lv29, P928 Team Voltage Grunt: Electabuzz Lv30, Magmar Lv30, P960

Team Voltage Grunt: Fletchinder Lv29, Heliolisk Lv29, Alolan Persian Lv29, P928 Team Voltage Grunt: Tentacool Lv30, Ampharos Lv30, P960

To the east is an Exp. Share and a place where you can rest. Climb up to 9F. No one important here except Tobias, who has had suspicions about the tower and is now climbing it to help defeat Team Voltage. Follow him to 10F. There he'll confront Violet. Talk to her to battle.

She'll swear revenge and run off. Tobias then plans things out. You'll go straight for who the boss is while he fends off the last stretch of grunts. Head to the last floor and run straight for the main room, where you'll see Violet with the boss. And he's got a mega with him, his only mon which he uses as his secret weapon.

Voltage Boss Lorenzo: P4000

  • Mega Zapdos Lv40, Thunderbolt, Detect, Ancientpower

(I can't really get stats on this mega, but from what I can tell it has the Aerilate ability instead of Pressure)

Beat Lorenzo and he'll run; while Violet attempts to follow, the police arrive, going to arrest Team Voltage while telling you kids to go home. It's time to leave Primrose HQ, unfortunately there's no easy way down so you'll have to descend all the steps. With all this said, now you can head east from Edelweiss City.

Route 16 [RT16]

Mons found:

  • Buizel: 60%
  • Pancham: 30%
  • Smeargle: 10%

The only thing here is a Lucky Egg. Head east to Route 22.

Route 22 [RT22]

Mons found:

  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod)
  • Clamperl: 100% (super rod)
  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Corsola: 60% (good rod)
  • Mareanie: 20% (good rod)
  • Staryu: 20% (good rod)
  • Mantyke: 10% (surf)

Fisherman Jorge: Gyarados Lv31, Kingdra Lv31, P1116 Swimmer Cooper: Mantine Lv31, Lanturn Lv31, P124

Get the Hyper Potion on the island.

Expert Griffin: Alolan Marowak Lv31, Starmie Lv31, P1240 Swimmer Lukas: Tentacruel Lv32, Sealeo Lv32, P128 Swimmer Rebecca: Milotic Lv31, P124

The last item on the route is a Dive Ball. Head east to Camellias Island.

Camellias Island [CAME]

Mons found:

  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Mantyke: 10% (surf)

You can get the Super Rod from a fisherman here, as well as an egg from some guy (or so I thought, because this guy won't give you the egg even if you say Yes). Also in the PokeCenter, you can find Prof. Neptune. He awards you with a Lucario for stopping Team Voltage. The other was given to Kylie. You can't head east yet, but there is a boat here and you can actually take it to Twilight Cave due to your status as someone who stopped Team Voltage.

Twilight Cave [TWIL]

The cave sort of resembles Navel Rock. But you won't go too far before reaching the top, and you'll see the Voltage Boss Lorenzo there with the Noivern. He's expressing regret for doing evil deeds, and has released Zapdos. Now he wonders what a good Pokemon trainer does. Which means a battle.

Voltage Boss Lorenzo: P4000

  • Arbok Lv35, Haze, Mud Bomb, Thunder Fang
  • Alakazam Lv35, Calm Mind, Psychic, Shadow Ball
  • Vibrava Lv35, Rock Slide, Supersonic, Fly
  • Magmortar Lv35, Thunderbolt, Sunny Day, Flamethrower
  • Ursaring Lv35, Earthquake, Feint Attack, Brick Break
  • Mega Manectric Lv40, Mimic, Rain Dance, Fire Fang, Thunder

So this is a lesson learned, huh? He'll leave and let you try to catch the Noivern, which is treated as a legendary with Sound/Dragon as its main typing. It's at Lv48. Once done, head back and go south, we've got one path to take now.

Route 23 [RT23]

Mons found:

  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod)
  • Clamperl: 100% (super rod)
  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Mareanie: 60% (good rod)
  • Corsola: 20% (good rod)
  • Staryu: 20% (good rod)

Swimmer Johan: Sealeo Lv34, P136 Fisherman Kobe: Seaking Lv33, Huntail Lv33, Gyarados Lv33, P1188 Swimmer Dorothy: Gorebyss Lv34, P136 Swimmer Niko: Mantyke Lv33, Starmie Lv33, P132

Hyacinth City [HYAC]

Mons found:

  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Mantyke: 10% (surf)

Shop:

  • Great Ball: P600
  • Hyper Potion: P1200
  • Revive: P1500
  • Full Heal: P600
  • Escape Rope: P550
  • Max Repel: P700

People here congratulate you for defeating Team Voltage. Enter the museum and get the Old Amber from the guy behind the counter. There's also a Pokemaniac here.

Pokemaniac Zachary: P1920 and HM07 Waterfall

  • Mega Sharpedo Lv40, Scary Face, Slash, Waterfall

(I tried to return the Old Amber to Freesia Island's scientist to resurrect, but he won't take it. No Aerodactyl in this hack, sorry)

And with that said, we got our last gym here. But you see exactly who's in front waiting for another rematch. Tobias challenged the gym, lost, and wants to be a Pokemon Ranger, but wants another battle.

PKMN Trainer Tobias: P960

  • Staraptor Lv36, Aerial Ace, Close Combat, Double Team, Quick Attack
  • Luxray Lv36, Thunderbolt, Thunder Fang, Light Screen, Iron Tail
  • Vibrava Lv36, Earthquake, Dragonbreath, Supersonic, Rock Slide
  • Gengar Lv36, Shadow Ball, Toxic, Psychic, Hidden Power
  • Magmortar Lv36, Fire Blast, Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Hyper Beam
  • Mega Zoroark Lv40, Night Slash, U-Turn, Flamethrower, Hone Claws

And now it's time for another gym. The Sound type is used here. This type resists Fighting, Grass, and Bug, isn't immune to anything, but is also not weak to anything unless the mon in particular has a secondary typing. The leader is Penelope.

Rocker Jasiah: Loudred Lv34, Loudred Lv34, P816 Hiker Marcelo: Snorlax Lv35, P1260 Ace Trainer Forrest: Electrode Lv35, P1260 Rocker Jalen: Loudred Lv36, P864 Ace Trainer Monica: Jigglypuff Lv35, Mr. Mime Lv35, P1260

Leader Penelope: Wigglytuff Lv36, Politoed Lv36, Exploud Lv40, P4000, Wave Badge, and TM15 Hyper Beam

(she has no IVs, items, or even new moves on the Pokemon she has, odd)

Eight badges acquired, let's surf east of Camellias Island.

Route 24 [RT24]

Mons found:

  • Magikarp: 100% (old rod)
  • Clamperl: 95% (super rod)
  • Tentacool: 90% (surf)
  • Staryu: 60% (good rod)
  • Corsola: 20% (good rod)
  • Mareanie: 20% (good rod)
  • Mantyke: 10% (surf)
  • Feebas: 5% (super rod)

Only one way to go, and you do need Waterfall to reach the cave entrance, and Kylie as well.

PKMN Trainer Kylie: P960

  • Talonflame Lv36, Flame Charge, Roost, Aerial Ace
  • Ampharos Lv36, Thunderpunch, Thunder, Rain Dance
  • Azumarill Lv36, Play Rough, Water Pulse, Ice Beam
  • Jumpluff Lv36, Acrobatics, Leech Seed, Giga Drain
  • Yanmega Lv36, Ancientpower, Psychic, Detect
  • Mega Lucario Lv40, Calm Mind, Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball

It's another Victory Road up ahead. Excuse me, Victory Canyon this time.

Victory Canyon [VICT]

Mons found:

1st floor:

  • Loudred: 30%
  • Golbat: 30%
  • Golett: 30%
  • Sigilyph: 10%

2nd floor:

  • Carvanha: 90% (surf)
  • Loudred: 30%
  • Golbat: 30%
  • Hariyama: 30%
  • Tynamo: 10%
  • Inkay: 10% (surf)

3rd floor:

  • Carvanha: 90% (surf)
  • Loudred: 30%
  • Golbat: 30%
  • Golett: 30%
  • Tynamo: 10%
  • Inkay: 10% (surf)

(supposedly the exit room and pseudo-legend rooms have encounters with Kadabra, Ditto, Lucario, Wobbuffet, Ferrothorn, Machoke, Magneton, and Electrode, but don't bother with those)

Already starting with darkness. Head east to get a Dragon Fang, then west and north. East again to get a Black Belt, then up the steps.

Ace Trainer Briggs: P1332

  • Luxray Lv37, Hyper Beam, Toxic, Iron Tail
  • Nidoking Lv37, Earthquake, Brick Break, Sludge Bomb
  • Gallade Lv37, Earthquake, Swords Dance, Psycho Cut

Ace Trainer Liv: P1332

  • Nidoqueen Lv37, Ice Beam, Aerial Ace, Sludge Bomb
  • Ampharos Lv37, Rain Dance, Confuse Ray, Thunder
  • Gardevoir Lv37, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Psychic

On the next floor is a glitched mess. This is unfortunately where you will need the Walk Through Walls code to pass to head north.

Ace Trainer Fletcher: P1368

  • Staraptor Lv38, Whirlwind, Aerial Ace, Hyper Beam
  • Arcanine Lv38, Roar, Fire Blast, Thunder Fang
  • Scolipede Lv38, Bug Bite, Sludge Bomb, Earthquake

Ace Trainer Kaylani: P1368

  • Talonflame Lv38, Aerial Ace, Flamethrower, Roost
  • Leavanny Lv38, Sunny Day, Slash, Solarbeam
  • Lopunny Lv38, Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Double Team

Head north all the way to get TM02 Dragon Claw, then wheel around and head up.

Ace Trainer Douglas: P1368

  • Crawdaunt Lv38, Protect, Surf, Superpower
  • Ursaring Lv38, Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Hyper Beam
  • Shiftry Lv38, Whirlwind, Nasty Plot, Aerial Ace

Ace Trainer Princess: P1368

  • Ludicolo Lv38, Ice Beam, Toxic, Giga Drain
  • Bewear Lv38, Earthquake, Hyper Beam, Dragon Claw
  • Salazzle Lv38, Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Claw

West to surf now. Surf to the south ladder first to find the last pseudo-legendary mid-stage evolution Hakamo-O, then head back and then north (note, to head back, you need to step on the right of two tiles, the other one for some reason states the current is much too fast). Head north to the 3F ladder. On the other side, surf on two pools (at least one tile says the current is fast, do it in the middle), then head on the green rock to the east.

Ace Trainer Terrance: P1404

  • Gengar Lv39, Hypnosis, Thunder, Shadow Ball
  • Weavile Lv39, Brick Break, Hone Claws, Ice Beam
  • Camerupt Lv39, Fire Blast, Hyper Beam, Rock Slide

Ace Trainer Scarlette: P1404

  • Alolan Ninetales Lv39, Ice Beam, Hail, Calm Mind
  • Starmie Lv39, Light Screen, Thunderbolt, Psychic
  • Mismagius Lv39, Thunderbolt, Spite, Shadow Ball

Ace Trainer Everlee: P1404

  • Altaria Lv39, Ice Beam, Dragon Dance, Earthquake
  • Victreebel Lv39, Sleep Powder, Solarbeam, Sludge Bomb
  • Midnight Lycanroc Lv39, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Rock Slide

Ace Trainer Anakin: P1404

  • Lanturn Lv39, Ice Beam, Rain Dance, Thunder
  • Drifblim Lv39, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Shadow Ball
  • Toxicroak Lv39, Swagger, Mud Bomb, Sucker Punch

Get the Black Glasses and enter the ladder. This has the OTHER final pseudo (assuming you didn't trade in Edelweiss City), Deino. Actually, don't even bother with this, because you will be unable to leave! Without Walk Through Walls that is. If you want Deino, trade for it at Edelweiss. Head back from the green rock and then west and northwest.

Ace Trainer Marlon: P1404

  • Steelix Lv39, Earthquake, Iron Tail, Rock Slide
  • Toxapex Lv39, Blizzard, Surf, Recover
  • Manectric Lv39, Overheat, Thunder Wave, Bite

Ace Trainer Paola: P1404

  • Tsareena Lv39, Sweet Scent, Giga Drain, Teeter Dance
  • Turtonator Lv39, Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, Earthquake
  • Froslass Lv39, Ice Beam, Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray

And once again, the exit is blocked by an invisible tile. You need the Walk Through Walls code again.

Route 25 [RT25]

All that's here is the league. Make your preparations before battling the Elite Four. I recommend buying what you need, then training until you're ready, since if you need to fly somewhere, you will have to fly back to Camellias Island, go through both routes and the canyon to head all the way back, all while using the code.

Shop:

  • Ultra Ball: P1200
  • Great Ball: P600
  • Full Restore: P3000
  • Max Potion: P2500
  • Revive: P1500
  • Full Heal: P600
  • Max Repel: P700

The first Elite Four member is Cristiano, a Water type user.

Elite Four Cristiano: P4500

  • Toxapex Lv42, Sludge Bomb, Toxic Spikes, Waterfall, Poison Jab
  • Milotic Lv42, Aqua Tail, Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Attract
  • Floatzel Lv42, Aqua Jet, Double Hit, Whirlpool, Razor Wind
  • Mega Gyarados Lv45, Blizzard, Earthquake, Surf, Ice Fang

Next, you need Walk Through Walls yet again to access the next place. Because apparently every door has an invisible barrier here. Next is the Fire type user Fernanda.

Elite Four Fernanda: P4500

  • Turtonator Lv42, Flamethrower, Earthquake, Shell Smash, Dragon Pulse
  • Houndoom Lv42, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch, Fire Blast
  • Magcargo Lv42, Rock Slide, Lava Plume, Amnesia, Shell Smash
  • Mega Magmortar Lv45, Confuse Ray, Solarbeam, Fire Blast, Sunny Day

Use the code again to meet the Grass type specialist.

Elite Four Rosemary: P4500

  • Lilligant Lv42, Hyper Beam, Synthesis, Giga Drain, Quiver Dance
  • Tangrowth Lv42, Earthquake, Stun Spore, Giga Drain, Ancientpower
  • Trevenant Lv42, Curse, Shadow Claw, Will-O-Wisp, Giga Drain
  • Mega Abomasnow Lv45, Ice Beam, Earthquake, Wood Hammer, Giga Drain

(note I got only 1 experience point from taking out the mega here)

Another use of the code later and we're onto the last Elite Four member, who specializes in Ghost types.

Elite Four Leighton: P4500

  • Chandelure Lv42, Confuse Ray, Fire Blast, Calm Mind, Shadow Ball
  • Banette Lv42, Thunder, Shadow Ball, Sucker Punch, Destiny Bond
  • Gengar Lv42, Hypnosis, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Dream Eater
  • Mega Dusknoir Lv45, Psychic, Shadow Punch, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball

Leighton mentions that our champion is a person we have met once before, but only once. Who could it be? Wasn't he the guy who was in front of Iris Village's gym? Yeah, he's the champion of Crocus.

Champion Green: P4800

  • Beartic Lv43, Slash, Blizzard, Icicle Crash, Brick Break
  • Naganadel Lv43, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Pulse, Poison Jab, Toxic
  • Sceptile Lv45, Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Solarbeam, Strength
  • Blaziken Lv45, Sky Uppercut, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Brave Bird
  • Swampert Lv45, Ice Beam, Earthquake, Waterfall, Surf
  • Mega Goodra Lv48, Hyper Beam, Sludge Bomb, Muddy Water, Dragon Pulse, holds Sitrus Berry

And now we're back at home. No Hall of Fame or credits or anything, and sadly no healing of the mons you have. And that's it for Pokemon Sky Twilight! There is no post-game, and no actual changes to the rest of the game here on out. Thanks for reading this walkthrough that certainly helped you get through this game. Read below for more info for things you may have questions on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Sound type good?

A: Not really in my eyes. It resists a number of times but has no weaknesses or immunities, plus it doesn't have any attacks outside of Curse.

Q: Why can't I fly to certain places?

A: This is because some of the locations, namely Amaranth Village, Iris Village, Camellias Island replace locations in the Sevii Islands (there's a few routes and caves that do so as well). This gets quite annoying, since in the case of the island and Iris Village, you have to step on another route to fly somewhere in the mainland, and you have to go through the entirety of Amaranth Path (which is two Super Repel's worth) to head back to a route you can use Fly on. A real hassle if you're intending to do breeding to get certain mons. Also you can't fly to the Pokemon League, and in fact…

Q: Do you need to cheat to beat the game?

A: The Walk Through Walls code is required to get through the second part of Victory Canyon, and also how to leave the Deino cave and even how to get to the Route 25 exit. And then you need to use it each time after beating an Elite Four member since for some reason the doors are not enterable. I don't know what is the reason for this messup. There's also the lower floors of Begonia Cavern, which also requires the code when you get to a certain bridge.

Q: How many Pokemon are obtainable?

A: I counted 376 as being obtainable, with 387 being the max you can see. The ones I see but cannot catch include: The fully-evolved Hoenn starters the champion has that you didn't pick, Naganadel, the Porygon line, Togetic, Huntail and Gorebyss (I can't find a new evolution method for these two), Zorua and Zoroark.

Q: Any legendaries to find in this hack?

A: Unless you count Noivern then no. By the way, you can't get the Mega Zapdos that the Voltage boss uses.

Q: How difficult is this and would you recommend it?

A: Apart from having to use a certain code to get through certain areas I would recommend it due to the difficulty being tame (like X/Y tame, since the gym leaders only have three Pokemon with three moves each and the Elite Four have only four each) and the selection of Pokemon available.
