About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Sky Twilight is a feature-packed FireRed ROM hack set in a completely new region with modern-generation mechanics, custom content, and expanded battle systems. The hack blends Gen 4–7 content with original ideas like a brand-new Pokémon type, custom Mega Evolutions, updated battle mechanics, and large graphical upgrades. It aims to deliver a more modern Pokémon experience within the GBA engine while still keeping the classic adventure structure of Gyms, exploration, and battling an evil team.

Story Overview

The game takes place in the Crocus Region, a well-known area famous for its Pokémon diversity. A rare Noivern — considered one of the rarest Pokémon in the region — has been kidnapped by a criminal organization known as Team Voltage.

Team Voltage is not just stealing rare Pokémon — they are also forcing Pokémon to Mega Evolve to extract energy for their own dangerous purposes. Their actions threaten the balance of the region.

You begin as a new trainer from Begonia Village, setting out on a traditional Pokémon journey: catching Pokémon, defeating Gym Leaders, and aiming for the Pokémon League. However, your adventure soon becomes much bigger. You must stop Team Voltage, uncover hidden mysteries, and ultimately become the region’s hero.
