Evolution & Form Changes

Evolution Changes

Pokémon that normally require trading to evolve now have an alternative method. Those that don't need to hold an item when traded will evolve via friendship, while those that do need an item will evolve by levelling up while holding that item. The friendship threshold for all friendship-based evolutions has been lowered from 220 to 160.

Time of day reference: Day is 4am–6pm, night is 6pm–4am, and dusk is 5pm–6pm.

As of version 1.3, Totodile, Turtwig, Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig, Rowlet, Popplio, and Litten all evolve at level 16.

Form Changes

Deoxys Take Deoxys to Professor Cozmo in Fallarbor Town after returning the Meteorite.

Rotom Take Rotom to Birch's Lab and interact with the pile of boxes.

Furfrou Talk to the woman in the Pokémon Fan Club in Slateport City.

Oricorio Use a Nectar item on it, as in the official games. All Nectars respawn daily, so there is an unlimited supply.

Mega Evolution

To Mega Evolve a Pokémon, you first need the Mega Bracelet, which is given to you right before the battle with Norman — you can't miss it. Then have your Pokémon hold its Mega Stone. When you send it into battle, press START on the move selection screen, then choose a move.

Rayquaza works similarly but must know Dragon Ascent instead of holding a Mega Stone. It can learn Dragon Ascent from a move tutor in Meteor Falls.

Note: Primal Reversion is not yet implemented.
