=======================================================================

Hi there, I'm Allen Chingonzoh and welcome to my walkthrough of Pokemon Grape. This is my 9th walkthrough, you'll find the links to previous ones in the last section of this document. I've done a walkthrough for v1.4 so this is basically an update to that one because even with all the changes and add-ons brought in by v1.5, there's not much as far as the Kelgo region is concerned. So if you played through v1.4 and you're just picking up with hope of exploring that region, you will be disappointed haha I am in the same boat as you, sorry about that. But for those you who are playing Grape for the very first time, you are in for a treat.

There's a Readme doc which comes with the game, thumbs up to the creator for that, which I'll be making use of for any extra and important information that can compliment this walkthrough. For example, 7 new Pokemon types are in this game (not just types which came later after Gen 1):

Atom

Wood

Light

Sound

Wind

Bone

Gas

Many Pokemon and Move types have been changed as a result. According to the Type Chart, here's what these new types are all about:

ATOM

Super Effective Against (2x): FLYING, STEEL, WATER, GRASS, ICE, WIND

[Against ATOM]: NORMAL, POISON, ELECTRIC, PSYCHIC, DARK

Not Very Effective Against (0.5x): ROCK, ELECTRIC, LIGHT

[Against WOOD]: FIGHTING, ROCK, STEEL, FIRE, WIND

Not Very Effective Against (0.5x): GROUND, BUG, STEEL, FIRE, ELECTRIC

[Against WIND]: FLYING, ELECTRIC, ATOM, BONE

Not Very Effective Against (0.5x): FLYING, GROUND, GRASS, ATOM, BONE

[Against WIND]: ROCK, GHOST

Not Effective Against WIND (0x): GROUND

GAS

Super Effective Against (2x): FIGHTING, FLYING, FIRE, FAIRY

[Against GAS]: GHOST, FIRE, WIND, LIGHT

LIGHT

Super Effective Against (2x): GHOST, STEEL, WATER, ICE, DARK, GAS

[Against LIGHT]: BUG, GRASS, FAIRY, WOOD

Not Very Effective Against (0.5x): ROCK, BUG, FIRE, ELECTRIC

[Against LIGHT]: GAS, ATOM, DARK, ICE, ELECTRIC, WATER, GHOST, NORMAL

[Against BONE]: SOUND, WIND, ELECTRIC, GRASS

Not Effective Against (0x): STEEL

[Against BONE]: BUG

Well, what do you make of these new types? Wiil they add some unique flavour to the game...or just make things much more troublesome? Let's find out!

We are welcomed to the Frejo region by our humble tutor Professor Bek. Just seeing a Gen 3 Pokemon like Whismur in a hack of a Gen 1 game like Red version is truly something amazing to me. In colour no less. Bek tells us to see him in Rustel City.

Then we are in our room. Feel them old school vibes: got a desktop PC in the top left corner where you can withdraw 2 bottles of Fresh Water, a radio dropping 8bit tunes, a clock that has stopped, an N64 that's still alive and well, an instruction book on the table and a Town Map on the wall near the stairs. We are in Paceleaf City. Downstairs we find Mom, she tells us to travel along a southern path to reach Rustel City. All good.

**NOTE: The Readme doc does not have a Pokemon Location guide so all the Pokemon I will list as Found are just what I'm lucky enough to encounter. If there are any that I have left out or missed, sorry about that.

Pokemon Found

Surf: Tentacool, Psyduck, Tentacruel, Seel

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Goldeen, Poliwag

Super Rod: Tentacool, Seel

In the garage we'll find our diary, containing some interesting information about us and our family. We're a baseball player, someone named Paul was leader of our team but got fired, our parents are divorced and we had an older brother who is dead now, ambushed by Team Rocket. Damn, as if stealing people's Pokemon isn't enough for them. Also in the garage is a statue that's currently possessed by a spirit, imagine that haha. It just tells us that there's a Nuzlocke area here but no access for at the moment.

We can't go north because there's a gang riot, so for our own safety the guard/officer won't let us pass. But we can make a note of that tree to the right from her. South from our house is someone who'll share some history about the 2 regions of this game, Frejo and Kelgo. Interesting twist for the Pokemon League here, it has been fought over by the 2 regions for a long time. Because of Frejo stealing some land centuries ago and resulting in all kinds of trouble, the League decided to create a competition where each region selects a rookie Trainer who will be a contender. The one who wins will gain control of the League. So guess who Frejo's contender is...yes, YOU!

Make a note of the western side, we'll be back once we can Surf. Leaving town now for Route 51.

Prof. Bek greets us as soon as we get here. He's happy about us joining the competition and leads us to his Lab so we can receive our Starter Pokemon. Also at the Lab waiting to receive his own is that guy Paul. Well now, look who's going to be a couple of sentences short of saying "Smell ya later!" :) already displaying that classic Rival snootiness. He even looks like a certain classic Rival with that hairstyle haha. While we're on this classic trip, let's look at those Starters: Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Pick one and watch as Paul gets the stronger type, as expected. When we try to leave he stops us and we get into the first of who-knows-how-many battles against him. Cue that battle theme!

>>RIVAL BATTLE<<

================

Rival Paul (Lv5 Starter) Prize: P175

He leaves, sounding a little deflated. Until the next one. Prof. Bek says the PokeMart owner wants to see us. Before you go, have a look at Bek's computer on the left. There's information about a new legendary Pokemon named Driadjin, which has a teleportation power that could put Abra to shame. Noted.

I've forgotten how almost empty a city or town from the Gen 1 days can look while cruising down the streets haha, I am now so used to seeing people out and about and finding houses to walk into. The PokeCenter is south from the Lab while the Mart is east. We'll receive a birthday gift for the good professor. Back to the Lab with the Parcel, deliver it and we see Paul return because Bek has some news for us: the Pokemon League Mainframe has been destroyed by some bad guys, which has erased all the Pokemon data! Wow...no backups, League guys?? So we'll be getting that data back the old fashioned way - by PokeDex. Gotta catch every Pokemon in this region. You're asking for a small miracle there chief but we'll do our best. Bek also reveals that Paul is the chosen contender for the Kelgo region. I was hoping there would be another character we meet later who's the contender, to keep the mystery going...but Paul will have to do. We have to defeat the Elite 4 in order to be king of the League. Gotta collect those 8 Gym Badges first, starting with the one in Megan City. No prob-- Paul says he doesn't care about completing the PokeDex and smashes his! How much does a PokeDex cost these days?? He drops another bomb - his father is Team Rocket's Boss. Giovanni...or we've got a new boss to worry about? Paul will be waiting for us on Route 61 for another battle.

We can return to the Mart to do some shopping now:

RUSTEL CITY MART

PokeBall P200

Potion P300

Antidote P100

Parlyz Heal P200

Escape Rope P550

At the PokeCenter, if you got P500 to spare speak to the shady fellow on the left who is selling a "talking cactus". That cactus is a Level 5 Mareep. Good deal...? To the right is a Youngster who has information about a man who can help us. He's in a wheelchair that teleports across this region.

There's a tree blocking the way out of town to the south. To the west is the entrance to Mt. Lyre. Shall we have a look?

Paras (Entrance/Exit Area)

Vulpix (Area 2)

Surf (Area 2):

 Seel, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Dewgong

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Goldeen, Poliwag

Super Rod: Nothing

(Entrance/Exit Area)

Can't move up or down for some reason? You're not stuck, no glitch or anything, we've gone older school in this place: side-scroller level old school :) not too bad. Go all the way to left, jump over the gap using the B button, and climb up the ladder. End of the very brief side-scrolling adventure.

(Area 2)

Got the first Trainer here just above from the ladder. No names here, just call him Hiker.

Hiker (Lv4 Geodude, Diglett, Sandshrew) Prize: P140

To the right from him is a Repel and a Youngster.

Youngster (Lv6 Rattata x2, Zubat) Prize: P90

South from him is some Rare Candy and a Bug Catcher.

Bug Catcher (Lv6 Caterpie, Weedle) Prize: P60

He tells us the name of the Megan City Gym Leader, some crazy dude named Elias. How crazy, though...and should we be worried? Southwest from him is a pool of water, shortcut back to the ladder. Go east for the Lass and another ladder near her. She's not too fond of our baseball team haha.

Lass (Lv8 Vulpix) Prize: P120

The ladder takes us to another side-scroller area but as we climb up we can't hold onto it because it's slippery. Odd. Past the ladder you'll find an Emergency Exit and a Potion above it. Below the Exit is another ladder. The Exit will send us back to Route 51. For now we're done with this section of Mt. Lyre, time to leave.

To reach the grassy area of Route 51 you have to make use of the path which starts north from Bek's Lab.

Return home to find the northern exit is open now. It's in this area where the Gym is located. 5th Gym, led by Slye. The PokeCenter, not yet complete, is here too. Carry on west for Route 61 and the next match against Paul. He's got a second Pokemon now, courtesy of his dad. Let's have a look at it.

>>RIVAL BATTLE<<

================

Rival Paul (Lv5 Pidgey, Lv8 Starter) Prize: P280

He vows to have his revenge and goes away to fight another day. Just to the left is the Pacesea Villa that Paul thought we were looking for. In the room on the left you'll find a pair of Grip Gloves. Neat, we'll try them out on that ladder in Mt. Lyre. In the area on the right we'll see an item on a table (a Heal Ball) but we can't reach it until we can surf to it. Carry on north to meet a Scientist and a Team Rocket Grunt who won't let us through.

Scientist (Lv5 Rattata, Mankey) Prize: P250

Rocket (Lv9 Houndour) Prize: P360

They won't be going anywhere for now but we got the Gloves so race back to Mt. Lyre and we climb up that ladder. From there just scroll on over to the right and descend the next ladder we find.

Now we're on the eastern side of this area, you see the Emergency Exit just above us. That item on the right is the first TM pick up, TM09 (Bullet Seed). It is a Wood-type move now. There are a lot of cool features in this game, but reusable TMs is not among them. Next Trainer is right below.

Super Nerd (Lv6 Voltorb, Grimer) Prize: P150

Checking out that rock which is blocking the ladder, it is breakable. Noted.

Bug Catcher (Lv7 Caterpie, Weedle, Paras) Prize: P70

Further on north from him is a Potion and a Lass. Bellsprout is a Wood/Grass-type. But why though...?

Lass (Lv10 Oddish, Bellsprout) Prize: P150

Next to her is a ladder taking us under and then to the exit. Got a surprise Gambler waiting outside.

Gambler (Lv11 Caterpie, Weedle, Spinarak) Prize: P770

We are on Route 52.

Night:

Ekans

Sandshrew

If you need to heal up ASAP, there's a PokeCenter just to the west. South from that Gambler is another Gambler standing near a cave entrance.

Gambler (Lv12 Growlithe, Vulpix) Prize: P840

It is a shortcut to Rustel City but is of no use right now because we don't have HM Cut. Wind back up to the PokeCenter, there's a Super Nerd just to the south from it and a Lass just on the left of the building. The Nerd has a Koffing, it is Poison/Gas-type now.

Super Nerd (Lv10 Koffing, Voltorb, Grimer) Prize: P250

Lass (Lv11 Clefairy x2) Prize: P165

Past that first Nerd is another one. Did these guys switch Pokemon in and out this much back in the day?? Because seriously, I battle this next guy and it reaches a point where he's switching between those 2 Voltorb again and again, haha! Ridiculous!

Super Nerd (Lv8 Voltorb x2, Koffing, Magnemite) Prize: P250

Continue on west for more Trainer action.

Lass (Lv8 Pidgey, Spearow, Vulpix, Meowth, Pikachu) Prize: P120

Super Nerd (Lv16 Koffing) Prize: P400

Jigglypuff is now a Fairy/Sound-type.

Lass (Lv12 Jigglypuff x2) Prize: P180

You can enter the big building next to her, it is home to a former Kanto Explorer. There's another Lass to the north of the building.

Lass (Lv14 Meowth x3) Prize: P210

Only a few more steps and we (just barely) make it into Megan City.

No time to catch our breath, because someone needs our help. Gym Leader Elias is causing trouble. We'll get to him, let's look around first and see what else is going on here.

North exit is blocked by a tree. The big building to the northeast is blocked by the guy who takes us to the Gym.

At the Megan City Rookie Trainer Hall, we win a prize if we can defeat the other rookies. Shall we?

1F

Lass (Lv11 Clefairy, Eevee) Prize: P165

Gentleman (Lv11 Nidoran[both]) Prize: P770

Youngster (Lv15 Slowpoke) Prize: P225

Just north from him is a warp tile that sends us to the top floor where we meet the leader of this place.

Gentleman (Lv16 Growlithe, Houndour) Prize: P1120

Collect the prize, an S.S. Ticket!

The woman on the left side of the Museum says scientists built a subway between the Museum and a place called Silten Forest. P50 to visit the Museum and see some fossils, learn a bit about "PikaBlu" or what could be a Marill...and a Scientist who can't see any secret door here. Hmm, is that door how we get to the other side of the front desk?

Speaking of secrets, at the PokeCenter we hear that there's a secret passage in the Mega Mart. No luck finding it when I checked the Mart here. I'm guessing this Mega Mart is a Dept. Store somewhere?

Now for the Gym.

MEGAN CITY GYM

--------------

Leader: Elias

He has been toying around with the types that he specialises in, Poison and Gas. Simple Gym, got one Gym Trainer. Looks like Paul's been here too. Our turn now.

Jr. Trainer[M] (Lv16 Ekans, Venonat) Prize: P320

Dude gets fired before we get that prize money haha, that's rough. I have a Pidgey and normally it would've had no problem sweeping Venonat away with Gust, but nope, the move just had to be switched from Flying-type to Wind-type...which works against Gas-type, but still. Speak to Elias and let's get that first Badge.

>>GYM BATTLE<<

==============

Leader Elias Prizes: P1980 + Acid Badge + TM07 (Freezebreath)

(Lv17 Koffing, Lv20 Arbok)

Thanks to the Acid Badge we can use Flash. Freezebreath is a Gas-type move, in another universe TM07 is Hail. Next Gym is in Cherry City. We haven't stopped Elias from potentially poisoning the city but there's nothing we can do.

In the house we couldn't reach, northeast of town, we find out about a Fish Factory that's on Route 55. Despite the huge stink, it's worth checking out apparently. Let's head over there then we'll move on up to Cherry City. South!

All we find here for now are Pokemon and a Fisherman, because we'd need to surf further on south. By the way, he's a trap Fisherman (those Fishermen you find in every game who have a big team of Magikarp).

Fisherman (Lv15 Magikarp x4) Prize: P525

North then. In the Gate building we hear that there's an older Mart along the next route and the owner is still inside.

Quite a messy joint we got here. The first person we meet looks to be a guard, he tells us that a Trainer stole the Chief's Pokemon. Who could that be, hm? In the northeast corner are stairs heading up. On the next floor we meet the thief, Paul. He won't give the Pokemon back because they're rare and strong. So we'll use some force. Gastly is a Ghost/Gas-type now.

>>RIVAL BATTLE<<

================

Rival Paul Prize: P735

(Lv17 Houndour, Lv18 Pidgeotto, Lv19 Gastly, Lv21 Starter)

The Chief is injured but he has an HM which Paul forgot to steal. He gives us 2 choices before he leaves, abandon the Chief to follow Paul or save him. Climb up those stairs to a small room where we meet the Chief. He's perfectly fine, turns out Paul just tricked us so he could escape. Escaping without the HM01 (Cut) that we get from the Chief. Leave the room, go to the left for another set of stairs that lead to a short corridor where there's the exit on the left. Head north for Cherry.

Team Rocket have swept through here, as seen in the first house before going on into town. They hit the Clothing Shop too. We can't explore the eastern side of town without the Badge which activates Cut. Can't go out west onto Route 54 too, same issue.

In the big house just south from the PokeCenter is a woman who'll give us a Town Map, finally. Speak to the Hiker in the PokeCenter for an interesting bit about Team Rocket and perhaps the man who is the new boss, named Kifflom. He saved the last members of Team Rocket when they were lost in the Alps and so the Epsilon was created. For those of you who don't get the little nod, Epsilon and Kifflom are from a little game called Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Epislon Program is a parody of Scientology and if I remember correctly Kifflom is the silly word used by members for greeting :) good old San Andreas, still a much better game than GTA 5 or this GTA Online nonsense that's around now haha, don't you dare argue. Anyway this links to what the Youngster outside the Trade Center (northwest from the PokeCenter) says about something called the Epsilon Tract, a powerful document that will unlock all the answers of the universe to you, maybe.

In the Trade Center speak to the man in the middle of the room to receive the legendary Itemfinder. Only 2 people are looking to trade: the woman by the southeast machines who wants a Vulpix for a Seedot and the almost-Paul lookalike near the southwest machines who has a Whismur if you got Abra. The computers to the west and east have information about the Legendary Beasts Enter, Raikou and Suicune. They are to blame for the Fish Factory accident but their whereabouts are unknown. The Youngster by the northeast machines survived a shipwreck of the SS Concord, whose remains are on Route 71.

That's all for now, we are headed north for Route 62. That woman near the town exit mentions a shady-sounding place called Fracture Hill. Dark because it's a dangerous spot...or because we'll need some light to explore it? Both??

Lass (Lv14 Pidgey, Nidoran[F]) Prize: P210

Lass (Lv16 Pidgey, Nidoran[F]) Prize: P240

Jr. Trainer[M] (Lv18 Mankey) Prize: P360

We receive our prize, a Nugget of course, from the Rocket Grunt above him. And he's looking to recruit new members for the new and improved Team Rocket (Epsilon Program Edition). We refuse and he's not too happy about that.

Rocket (Lv15 Ekans, Zubat) Prize: P600

Unbelievable, so now we got Team Rocket and the Epsilon Program joined at the hip to worry about. Where's Brother Gio when you need him?? We reach a deadend, until you turn right and march back down to town so we can look at the eastern side of it. This is where we find the Mega Mart and the Gym on the hill below. The Rocket Grunt blocking the Mart entrance says he was sent by someone named Steelhan to stop us. Who is Steelhan...and how does this Grunt know Hammerman??

Rocket (Lv21 Nidorino, Eevee) Prize: P840

He'll hand over the TM he had stolen TM46 (Thief). Let's check out this Mega Mart.

Bottom right corner has another man who says we can use a Lighter as an alternative to Flash. That's good news right there. Make use of those stairs on the left and before you know it, we're back outside but now on that hill south of the Mega Mart. If you continue south you'll find a Bug Catcher who is studying the Epsilon Tract. Go back up and aim for the Gym, but we don't even get to the door before Paul walks out to meet us. Outside the pharmacy is a Lass looking for them mushroom Pokemon.

Lass (Lv16 Paras x2, Parasect) Prize: P240

Then there's a flooded area, we pass a small lake with an item (Trade Stone) we'll need to surf to reach. Learn more about Team Rocket from the lady living in the house next to the incomplete (?) PokeCenter. She has seen them hanging around a place called Wizard Peak, which could have a secret exit. Noted. Next stop is Gadow City.

While looking around, we gather some useful threads of info:

- There are unexplored areas of Wizard Peak that are underwater.

- Team Rocket have succeeded in kidnapping Mr. Abe

- A female Trainer on Route 71 is carrying a Lighter. Wizard Peak is connected to that route.

- A Vietnamese Pokemon Ranger lives here, but his house could be the one on the hill in the southeast area.

- We hear about the Lavender Syndrome at the PokeCenter. It's caused by the gas of Ghost-type Pokemon.

At the Gadow City PokeMates Foundation, likely to be run by Mr. Abe, the guy we speak to says Mr. Abe is in south Frejo. Nothing else, when you're ready let's enter the cave.

Go on north to the opening, then left in the next area for the opening which takes to the other side of the waterfall in the first area. We'll need Surf and Strength to explore the right side of that next area. Inside that minecart is a Lighter! I didn't expect that, thought we'd jump into the cart. Use the Lighter and bring a little brightness to this super grey cave. The exit is just below.

South from her is a deadend for now, only a signpost saying further south is Lauras City and Route 72 is west. East has an entrance for Wizard Peak's Wormhole Cave, which connects Route 71 with Route 60. That's quantum physics for ya.

The side-scrolling action returns, make your way to the bottom and proceed to the right until you have to move up a couple of ladders and head left, where you pick up a Shiny Ball. Then it's all the way east until you have to climb up to reach the exit.

We step out just beyond the northeast corner of Buris City, seeing the PokeCenter, continue east for a closed of section of Route 60 where we find a lone house. The woman inside has been trapped because of a Snorlax but as thanks for us showing up she gives us HM02 (Fly)! Just need the right Badge. A couple of Cue Balls are on the other side of the fence outside the house. So we return to Cherry City and make use of that Cut move as we head east past the Mega Mart, back on Route 61.

The economy-sized building we find is the Pacesea Villa, but a new area of it. Is that statue blocking a secret entrance? And it seems like there's something invisible in the space between the statue and the crate. Nothing we can do about either of them. Outside we pop up near where we faced Paul for the second time before entering the Villa. He's there, giving the same lines of dialogue from after the battle. Random :) don't bother with the Villa, that Rocket Grunt and the Scientist are still inside. Cross the bridge and step back into Paceleaf City. Carry on east and into the Gate. The guard says one of Prof. Bek's aides came through, he's upstairs. If you got 50 or more Pokemon he'll give you the Exp. Share. Going back to catch multiples of the same Pokemon won't count, damn.

Outside we're ambushed by a Youngster. Welcome to Route 57 :)

Holy sh... DARK!! Quick, turn on the Lighter! Damn it, that doesn't help. The world has gone deep blue now and this is what stands between Route 57 and Snorkel City. Here we go.

Bring an Eevee and level it up here to get Leafeon. That Bag near the signpost is a Medical Kit, it'll heal your team. Then wind round from the left and follow the path going to the right and meet the first Trainer. Girl asks us about the Nuzlocke while out in this shady place, she's not serious!

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv20 Vulpix, Bellsprout, Nidoran[M]) Prize: P400

Going north after her.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv19 Oddish, Meowth x2, Pikachu) Prize: P380

Opposite from him is a female Jr. Trainer.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv21 Clefairy, Pidgey, Rattata) Prize: P420

Down the ladder and at the bottom level is a PokeManiac.

PokeManiac (Lv20 Slowpoke, Chinchou, Totodile) Prize: P1000

Jump across from him and carry on to the next fight.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv22 Oddish, Chikorita) Prize: P440

Past her is the ladder which leads back outside. Still a blue world out there, now we're northwest of the first stairs we found.

Hiker (Lv19 Geodude x3, Machop) Prize: P665

He identifies the big rocks found here as Moss Stones. Continue on to the next stairs which are in the top left area after this guy:

Hiker (Lv20 Onix x2, Larvitar) Prize: P700

-Fracture Side-scroll Level 2-

Back to the side-scroll level, down the ladder.

Hiker (Lv25 Phanpy) Prize: P875

Below him is a PokeManiac.

PokeManiac (Lv22 Cyndaquil, Cubone) Prize: P1100

Further below is yet another PokeManiac.

PokeManiac (Lv25 Lickitung) Prize: P1250

Then we go to the right.

Hiker (Lv24 Machop, Kabuto) Prize: P840

He recommends we visit the Port in Snorkel City. Continue on and then straight up to the exit. Outside, proceed eastward.

Hiker (Lv21 Geodude, Graveler) Prize: P735

PokeManiac (Lv23 Cubone, Murkrow) Prize: P1150

They're the last ones, dash for the exit!

Back on Route 57. Just to the northwest of that rocky area is a Rocker and another entrance back to Fracture Hill.

Rocker (Lv20 Whismur, Jigglypuff, Loudred) Prize: P500

It's actually a shortcut that takes back to the western side of Route 57, but we'll be above the ledge seen near water.

We'll definitely be back to surf around and reach those areas to the south, in particular the spot just east from Snorkel Beach. Who's that Pokemon?

Come back when you can surf and reach the island southwest from the PokeCenter. A Sailor there is looking to trade his Tropius for a Victreebel.

Hear a short horror story from the Pokemon Fan Club Chairman to get a Kart Voucher. Interesting, because the eastern exit leads to Route 58 and the Cycling Road.

The Snorkel Police have left a notice near that exit, about a certain sleeing Pokemon that has blocked off Route 64, cutting the link to Quartz Town.

Bob, who lives in the northeast house, has a girlfriend named Joanna who is trapped on Route 73. He can't save her because he doesn't have HM Fly. Maybe we can help later.

Flash that S.S. Ticket by the Port so we can board the S.S. Aqua. On the way to the ship is a lone truck and above it is the legendary Mew! It ain't going anywhere, right? Surely it'll wait until we come back later, right?? Because there's nothing we can do about that truck at the moment.

S.S. AQUA

---------

The passangers are Trainers so put your game face on and let's meet them, starting with the top right cabin and going counter-clockwise:

Burglar (Lv22 Charmander, Aron, Bagon) Prize: P1980

Fisherman (Lv22 Wooper, Tentacool, Goldeen) Prize: P770

That's a Shiny Stone on the table below him. In the top left cabin is a Gentleman who shows us the image of a Pokemon he's never seen anything like - Uranytar. Looks mighty familiar, doesn't it? According to the Readme, it evolves from Pupitar via something called Star Gene. Continue to the bottom left cabin.

Gentleman (Lv23 Seedot, Kabuto) Prize: P1610

He'll let us take the Helix Fossil on the table. Skip the next cabin.

Lass (Lv23 Pikachu, Whismur) Prize: P345

She's the last one, go down the stairs. We'll find the dining hall and kitchen. To the left from the hall are stairs which lead to the Captain's cabin. Captain Akab is his name and he has a favour to ask of us: get back his Mist Stone that was stolen by a violet-haired thief. He'll give us something in exchange for retrieving it. Is this Paul up to no good again??

Now let's step into the Gym.

SNORKEL CITY GYM

----------------

Leader: Liquid

...hold on, Liquid?? He's a major character from the Metal Gear Solid video game series. Now he's here leading a Gym that specialises in Water-types. There are stairs on the left but they lead to closed doors, so speak to the Gentleman up ahead from the Gym Guide guy. He's definitely walking on that water...and that's the least of our problems now:

Gentleman (L24 Poliwhirl) Prize: P1680

...because we have invisible walls/glassy platforms here like we're in Koga's Gym. If you're not a fan of codes, well this could be one time where the Walk through Walls code would be of use. The other 2 Gym Trainers are in the bottom left and bottom right corners. Both are Sailors. Top left corner has an empty trash bin and Liquid is standing near stairs in the top right corner.

Left side Sailor (Lv20 Chinchou, Wooper) Prize: P600

He'll give a hint about the glassy platforms. They got edges which are visible somehow.

Right side Sailor (Lv21 Seel, Marill) Prize: P630

He tells us that the Epsilon Program is taught at a school in Buris City. Noted. Make your way to Liquid, who knew our brother and says he was a good pupil. Killed in a swamp by Team Rocket.

Good grief, the JETSKII Badge?? Come on, haha. It at least grants us usage of Fly so I'll let the name slide (for now). Next Gym is in Buris City.

Before flying off to Buris City, let's see what's on Route 58 and how much of it we can explore until we reach the Cycling Road.

Bird Keeper (Lv18 Pidgey x2, Pidgeotto, Natu) Prize: P450

He tells us that we'll need that Kart in order to enter Route 59.

Bird Keeper (Lv21 Spearow, Farfetch'd) Prize: P525

Bird Keeper (Lv24 Pidgeotto) Prize: P600

He tells us that HM03 (Surf) is in Quartz Town. Noted. Just up ahead is the Gate leading to Cycling Road. Upstairs is someone looking to trade his Torkoal for a Tauros. As for that building near the Bird Keeper, it leads to an underground passage that connects this route to Route 63. I thought this route ended with Cycling Road but looks like we march on :)

East from the guard is another Gate, where we learn from the guard there about a big mansion in Quartz Town that used to be owned by Kifflom until he moved to his new Dungeon. Gotta have a Dungeon if you are to be taken seriously as a supervillain. Upstairs there is Prof. Bek's aide, if you have 70 or more Pokemon he'll give us the Super Rod. As as extra after giving it to us he'll tell us that Frejo has 5 seas, each with different Pokemon we can fish for. Also up here is someone looking to trade his Aerodactyl for a Pidgeot. Step out and enter Route 64.

Fisherman (Lv27 Wooper) Prize: P945

Fisherman (Lv24 Goldeen, Shellder) Prize: P840

That item on the left is TM19 (Giga Drain). They are big fans of a legendary Fisherman named Sampei. Will we get to meet this fella at some point? There's an item on the left that we'll be back for when we can surf. Further south is a signpost indicating that we've reached the Frejo-Altek Border...and blocking the rest of the way from us is a wild snoring Snorlax :) great spot to catch some Zees.

Go back to Route 63 and travel south from the lone guard there. Up and then down the hill to reach the entrance to the Battle Tower. Unfortunately it isn't operational yet, but you can have a little tour of the place. The Leader here is on the rooftop, he guesses that this place will work in the next version of the game. Outside the tower, top right corner, is the guy who stole Captain Akab's Mist Stone! From the way he's talking he might as well be Silver haha. He failed to conquer the tower and he failed to get rid of the Mist Stone, which he thinks could be cursed, because it keeps coming back to him. What he wants is a Brick Piece. Noted. We can't confront him or anything for now so leave him be and go south from the tower to the Gate. Upstairs is a female guard who gives us TM31 (Triple Kick). Out of the Gate and onto Route 65, which connects Route 63 to Route 66.

The big building we see on the right as we head south is the Grape Mansion. The game I was playing before this one was Pokemon Glazed, with an entire region named Donut backwards, among other donut references including the title of the game...while over here we got the Epsilon Program, wizards and the Grape Mansion haha, where did we go wrong as people??

GRAPE MANSION

-------------

On the 1st Floor (Haxxor's Hall) we meet an old woman who thanks us for playing 80C's game. Indeed, he certainly put a lot into it. S'good :) there's also a sculpture of a deity.

2nd Floor (Cutting Floor) has an active PC.

3rd Floor (Beta Testing Room), we find a couple of Beta Testers and Uac.Dario who helped 80C. If you complete the PokeDex, come back here.

Just like the Celadon Mansion there's an entrance behind the mansion which leads to the rooftop. Back outside, north, cut the tree on the right and you'll get to the entrance. 80C is on the rooftop and has a gift for us - a Level 20 Bagon. Don't worry if your party is full, it'll be sent to your PC (hoping your current Box isn't full).

South from the Mansion is the Route 65 Underground Path building. This too has a back entrance, which I stumbled through while running around in the grass. In the back room is a man named Wally and because we found him he unlocks a secret location for us - the PokeGod Factory (?!). Access to it found in the Uri Tunnel. I had to read up on PokeGods because this is the very first time I'm finding out about them. Now Pikablu makes sense :) for those of you who don't know, PokeGods were basically non-canon Pokemon from the Gen 1 era that were outside of the original 150 species, although Mew (#151) is considered a PokeGod. You'd play around with Gameshark codes to obtain a PokeGod, but they were glitches too. So since there's a whole factory for them in this game, I am curious to see what's there. Those stairs just lead back outside.

Hold off on going underground, continue south. To the right is an item by the trees, it's a Trade Stone. To reach it you'll have wind around from the right jetty below. In the house we find out that the Underground Path leads to south Frejo. There's also someone looking to trade his Phantump for a Cubone. On the left jetty is a Medical Kit. That's all for now here since we can't swim, we can go underground.

The woman at the other end of the passage warns us about the Rage Sisters. Who are they? Step outside and meet them, one after the other :)

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv20 Paras, Meowth) Prize: P400

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv24 Yanma) Prize: P480

Biker (Lv22 Houndour, Koffing, Grimer, Gastly) Prize: P440

At the top of that stone hill near him is the Gold Relic, our first pickup of these relics that we heard about. In exchange for it, we'll get TM49 (Tri-Attack) from the Relics Lady. Past him is a Gate where the guard says he has seen an item called a Ghost Scope in Buris City. Noted. Straight ahead is Gondwan City but the little path north leads to Spooky Swamp. Didn't our brother get killed by Team Rocket in a swamp?

We'd need Surf in order to reach the Gym :/ the building next to it is the Fishing Guru's House (he's the older brother of the first one) and he's got the Good Rod. If you already got the Super Rod, congratulations, now you've completed the trio :) that back entrance leads to Route 56. Nothing to be done there except fish since we can't surf yet.

Swap that Kart Voucher for a Kart at the Gondwan City Racing Shop. This place might as well be a showroom, look at all these vehicles! This reminds me of GTA: San Andreas :) the only thing missing here is a dollar sign outside the building that shows the income slowing rising.

Lanette lives next door from the PokeCenter. It's interesting to note that this is Lanette before she moves to Hoenn and owns the PC Storage System there. Nice nod to the Gen 3 games.

Funny thing, in the PokeCenter we'll find a sprite that looks like the guy who has the Mist Stone...but this one just talks about Gondwan leading to the PokeBall Factory, National Tunnel and Spooky Swamp. I later find out that this the just the sprite for Psychics.

A pair of Rockets and an old man have taken over the house east from Lanette's. At first I thought that was Mr. Abe but nope, these guys own a casino and the previous owner of the house couldn't pay their debt.

That's all for now. When you're good to go, march on to see a little bit of Route 67.

Mighty city we got here, got places to see and stuff to do.

A swarm of Snorlax, try to imagine that...because we find out that there's Snorlaxamnia sweeping through the region. Explains the one we saw near the Frejo-Altek border and the one we see here. In the PokeCenter we first hear about the legendary PokeFlute, but who has it though?

At the Buris Pokemon School we'll get a chance to read someone's copy of the Epsilon Tract and pick up some very useful information, including Kifflom's big plan involving that legendary Pokemon Driadjin. The Epsilon Program's cove is located in a cave near a very old town and we'll need Strength and Surf. Noted and noted.

South from the PokeMart is Hotel California, which is for adults only!Learn some Braille from the blind man sitted by the front desk. What's shown in Braille is what he'll say after our character shows that he doesn't understand. To the right from him is the Item Diviner lady, she'll point out what the last item you used was. Interesting news in the magazine near her:

- The PokeBall Factory is on Route 56

- The Devon Spa (yeah, THAT Devon from Hoenn) will be giving the Buris Casino a Master Ball as a special prize.

- Black market PokeBalls to look out for: Clone Ball, Dope Ball and the Snag Ball.

The Spirit of Statues is back, this time to possess the signpost just southeast from the Hotel. It says in order to reach the Gym we must find a secret switch in the Racket Game Corner. If you went south from the PokeCenter you'll see the Gym.

There's also another signpost near the PokeMart with a notice from the Pokemon League - new Gym Leader for Buris City is a woman named Grace and Normal-type will be the speciality.

On the hill west from the PokeMart is an old man who'll give us TM43 (Wood Hammer) when we can reach him later. Gotta have surf. There's the Diner, where we get the Coin Case from the man in the top left corner. He's the one whose house is occupied now by those Rockets, damn man.

RACKET GAME CORNER

------------------

That's right, Racket is for Team Racket. Another shady outfit we may have to worry about haha, these guys are from the Kohto region. You can buy Coins for P1000 from the counter on the left. Speak to some of the patrons to get a few. The Gym Guide guy is here too, tells us that the Gym actually specialises in the Fairy-type but Grace may use her old team. The double doors lead to the next room where we can check out these sweet prizes:

Johto Starters 100 Coins each

Tyrogue 1000 Coins

Espeon 5000 Coins

Umbreon 5000 Coins

TM10 (Body Slam) 3000 Coins

Rare Candy 300 Coins

Master Ball 9999 Coins

Happy gambling (or code hunting)! :) That poster next to the double doors has the secret switch we're here for. It will move one of the machines on the right, revealing hidden steps going below. It's an empty area down here, you'd think this is where peeps have their poker games. Continue along the corridor to the right until we meet a Rocket, surprised to see us again.

Rocket (Lv31 Nidoking, Espeon) Prize: P1240

He runs off, allowing us to proceed on out of this area and then outside, now near the Gym. That man outside says that Claire sold the Gym to Grace a few days ago. Who sells a Gym? Right under your noses, Pokemon League!

BURIS CITY GYM

--------------

Leader: Grace

Gym Guide guy hasn't come back from the Game Corner yet, so we can get right down to business. First up is that Lass on the right.

Lass (Lv25 Togepi, Clefairy) Prize: P375

Top left corner, Beauty.

Beauty (Lv28 Wigglytuff, Clefable) Prize: P1960

Top right corner, Junior.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv28 Meowth, Marill) Prize: P560

Now for the inner circle members:

Lass (Lv27 Pidgey, Vulpix) Prize: P405

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv26 Togepi, Jigglypuff, Mr. Mime) Prize: P910

Beauty (Lv31 Azumarill) Prize: P2170

Beauty (Lv24 Jigglypuff x2, Marill x2) Prize: P1680

Then we get to Grace, Paul's Ex (?!). Fortunately she's not on the same road he's on now and she wants us to keep him away from his dad who is controlling him. Paul is in a swamp holding a hostage, and there's only one swamp we know of. Gotta prove ourselves to Grace first. No problem, so begins the battle for Badge #4!

>>GYM BATTLE<<

==============

Leader Grace Prizes: P3861 + Prism Badge + Ghost Scope

(Lv35 Snorlax, Lv36 Kangaskhan, Lv39 Lickilicky)

Pokemon up to Level 50 will obey us now. Use of Strength granted. Thanks to the Ghost Scope we'll be able to identify the Ghosts in Spooky Swamp. Grace also adds that Team Rocket is looking to start a war to get Driadjin's attention. We'll do our best to stop them before that happens. Fly back to Gondwan City and enter the dark blue swamp.

SPOOKY SWAMP

------------

(Area A)

Pokemon Found

.............

Grimer, Murkrow, Houndour, Gastly, Haunter

There's a warp tile on the right, it'll take us to the actual swamp. Once there wade through the mud and head west to face the first Trainer here, a Channeler.

Channeler (Lv24 Murkrow) Prize: P720

North from her is a Trade Stone. The path then goes south, got a Channeler on the right and another on the bottom left.

Channeler (Lv22 Gastly, Misdreavus, Dratini) Prize: P660

She's kind enough to reveal the name of one of the Elite 4, Spyro. A Dragon-type specialist to complete the reference, I wonder..?

Channeler (Lv24 Misdreavus) Prize: P720

Below from her is Rare Candy. South from the other Channeler are stairs going (probably 6 feet) under but we are stopped by the voice of Prof. Bek, telling us to turn off the console because the mission is over!! I believe this is a reference to Metal Gear Solid 2 haha, don't turn off the console! Or you'll join the many, many people who actually did that while playing MGS 2. Then we hear Mom warning us about screwing up our eyes because we're too close to the screen. Bek continues with a story about meeting a strange Pokemon. When we say we don't understand, the source of these voices shows itself - a Ghost! The Scope does its magic and reveals a Level 50 Scyther boss. It was our brother's Pokemon. The Ghost turns out to be our brother Steven (though we call him Steuben). With the time he has left he tells us about how he died. Starting from when he joined Team Rocket in an attempt to try and change things to coming back to Frejo after the Silph Co. events and being lost with his fellow Rockets in the Alps along Route 64 and meeting Kifflom and setting up the Epsilom Program. Now it's up to us to stop the corrupt Pokemon League and Kifflom. We're not sure if all this is even real. It's all in our head and then the voice disappears. What a mental trip. Down the stairs.

(Area B)

Pokemon Found

.............

Gastly, Cubone, Koffing, Haunter, Golbat

In the next area we find Paul up ahead. We try to tell him about Grace but he ain't having it. Duel!

Somehow during this battle his Dodrio dies (?). Afterwards he reveals that while Kifflom is the boss of this whole operation, Paul's dad oversees the Grunts. When Paul leaves, carry on west until we find another warp panel.

Channeler (Lv29 Gastly, Misdreavus) Prize: P870

First Channeler here is right below.

Channeler (Lv30 Marowak) Prize: P900

To the right, top right is a purified zone for healing your team. Don't cross over to the other side of the zone just yet, go south from there to locate another Channeler and find a Nugget.

Channeler (Lv33 Misdreavus) Prize: P990

Now cross the zone. Northwest from the next Channelers is a warp tile.

Channeler (Lv32 Haunter) Prize: P960

Rocket (Lv32 Golbat, Vaporeon) Prize: P1280

Rocket (Lv33 Persian, Jolteon) Prize: P1320

Rocket (Lv34 Arcanine, Flareon) Prize: P1360

The man is up ahead and...he's totally fine..? He came here alone, the kidnapping story was a lie. What the...Mr. Abe teleports with us back to his house in Gadow City. He gives us the PokeFlute, so we can deal with the two Snorlax that are blocking 2 paths (we know one). Fly back to Buris City and head east for Route 60.

ROUTE 60

--------

Pokemon Found

.............

Day: Spearow, Doduo, Sandshrew

Night: Nidorina, Nidorino, Clefairy

Grimer

Oddish

Koffing

We're back, now on the south side of the fence closing off that house where we received HM Fly. That duo of Cue Balls is still around on the right.

Cue Ball (Lv28 Machop x2, Mankey) Prize: P700

Cue Ball (Lv33 Machop) Prize: P825

Directly right from them is the entrance to a Gate (top side) and beyond that are the slopes. To the south is the grass where you can search for them Pokemon. The only Trainer spotted here is a Biker.

Biker (Lv26 Grimer x4) Prize: P520

The entrance to the bottom side of the Gate is to the left from the grass. Through there and back to the western side where we faced those Cue Balls, now we're south of the fence and we've hopped onto our trusty Kart! NOW we're cruisin' :) as for these following fellas, they should lay off that Odd'weed haha:

Cue Ball (Lv26 Machop, Graveler) Prize: P650

Biker (Lv30 Weezing) Prize: P600

Biker (Lv29 Grimer, Koffing) Prize: P580

South from them is the downhill portion of Cycling Road.

Super Rod: Nothing

Cue Ball (Lv26 Mankey, Cubone) Prize: P650

Straight down from him, on the left, is a Biker.

Biker (Lv30 Muk) Prize: P600

Opposite side from him is a notice from the Frejo Police about the Flight House on Route 60 (where we received HM Fly) being blocked by a sleeping Pokemon. Below that is a shortcut blocked by a tree. Next Biker is further south by a fence in the middle of the road.

Biker (Lv27 Voltorb x2) Prize: P540

He got his Voltorb from an abandoned Power Plant. If you cycle down the left road you meet another Biker while on the right is a Cue Ball.

Biker (Lv27 Ekans, Koffing, Weezing) Prize: P540

Cue Ball (Lv30 Poliwrath) Prize: P750

Further south from them, got Cue Balls on the left and on the right.

Right Cue Ball (Lv26 Kangaskhan, Machoke) Prize: P650

Cue Ball (Lv26 Mankey, Machop) Prize: P650

Carry on down to another Cue Ball who'll be on the left.

Cue Ball (Lv17 Mareep, Pikachu) Prize: P425

Soon enough we'll reach the end of the slope. I tried out the Super Rod in the water here and these are the Pokemon which came up:

Poliwag, Slowpoke

Via Good Rod you'll meet Goldeen and Old Rod is forever Magikarp. Follow the road all the way right to the Gate where you may have traded for a Torkoal upstairs. Around and back again, phew. We got the PokeFlute, so let's go east to the Frejo-Altek border to deal with the first Snorlax roadblock.

It is a Level 30 Snorlax. After you catch or defeat it, carry on to climb up a hill to discover another fishing spot.

Fisherman (Lv30 Tentacool, Seaking, Poliwhirl, Staryu) Prize: P1050

Fisherman (Lv34 Slowbro, Tentacruel, Croconaw) Prize: P1190

South from them is the first grassy area of this route and a Rocker.

Rocker (Lv38 Loudred, Exploud) Prize: P950

These are the very mountains where Team Rocket were found by Kifflom. Carry on south to climb up another hill.

Jr. Trainer[M] (Lv34 Machoke, Kadabra) Prize: P680

Next hill below has a Fisherman, another fan of this Sampei guy.

Fisherman (Lv40 Magikarp x2) Prize: P1400

Sampei is looking for the "Holy Magikarp". Come to think of it, there was someone on the S.S. Aqua who says they're looking for a massive Magikarp. Was that him?? Continue south for one more climbing session and eventually reach a cave opening leading into the Frejon Tunnel.

Larvitar, Swinub, Onix, Geodude, Gligar, Machop, Golbat

Surf: Poliwhirl, Slowbro, Seaking

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Goldeen, Poliwag

Super Rod: Nothing

Don't mind that mine cart and those boulders on the left. To the south is an exit leading to a White Relic. The collector woman gives us TM50 (Substitute) in exchange for it. Northeast from the mine cart is a pool of water keeping us from reaching an opening in the corner. North has a ladder going below to an icy wonderland.

(Ice Area)

Pokemon Found

.............

Onix, Zubat, Sneasel, Swinub, Onix, Golbat, Jynx

Surf: Dewgong, Slowbro, Seaking, Lapras

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Poliwag, Goldeen

Super Rod: Nothing

Complete with a frozen floor on the left for some sliding action. Bring an Eevee and level it up here to get Glaceon. At the moment we can't make it to the upper left side across the floor to pick up the item there - TM14 (Blizzard), unless of course you got that Walk through Walls code. But in the middle of the frozen floor is a patch which isn't frozen. You cross it with Surf. Slide on to the lower left side and continue west to find a King's Rock. Then go south for two more frozen floors, side by side, and bigger than that first one.

There are more unfrozen patches here, one near the middle of the second floor, two near the bottom right corner where there's a Metal Coat, and one in the bottom left area where you pick up a Star Gene. The exit is in the south. Slide your way through, we've successfully crossed the border and entered the Altek region, stepping out into the first town of Quartz.

Great Ball P600

Hyper Potion P1500

Max Repel P700

Full Heal P600

Revive P1500

PP Up P9800

Who do we find in the Mart?? SAMPEI! As legendary as this guy is, the meeting is not even lukewarm because he must've been expecting us not to have heard of him haha. He can thank his fans that we met on the way.

Pokemon Found

.............

Surf: Poliwag, Wooper, Magikarp, Poliwhirl

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Goldeen, Poliwag

Super Rod: Wooper, Goldeen, Psyduck

Warm little town, isn't it? Let's look around this small portion available to us until we get that HM Surf.

You can do more shopping in the house on the left from the PokeCenter:

Fast Ball P1000

Net Ball P1000

Nest Ball P1000

Lighter P450

Cottage P10000

Escape Rope P550

Everstone P200

Shiny Stone P3200

The Cottage works like the classic RPG ones, they heal your whole team. Obviously they can only be used outdoors and in natural environments like caves, tunnels etc.

South from the PokeCenter though is the home of a plot theorist, who gives some curious bits of information. That bit about the Ranger having a massive black magic book could be worth noting, there's only one Ranger we've heard about and he lives in Gadow City.

The Alpine Mansion was never completed and is now a den for thieves. Let's pay them a visit :)

ALPINE MANSION

--------------

(1F)

Pokemon Found

.............

Nidoran[both], Growlithe, Machop, Ditto, Jigglypuff

Hmm, has a Silph Co x Cinnabar Mansion vibe and look to it, eh? Straight north from the entrance are stairs going up. On the right and top right are rooms which are locked, while in the bottom right corner is another entrance/exit, also blocked off. Top left corner has a switch. Press it unlocks the top right room, where we can pick up a King's Rock. But the passage leading to the bottom right has been closed now while that room is open so after getting that K-Rock go back to hit that switch and let's move on to the next floor.

(2F)

Pokemon Found

.............

Lickitung, Jigglypuff, Machop, Ditto, Growlithe

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Poliwag, Goldeen

Super Rod: Nothing

Another switch right by the stairs. Pressing it unlocks the room just to the south from here, where we'll find an Upgrade. That dude skulking about is a Burglar!

Burglar (Lv34 Charmander, Charmeleon) Prize: P3060

From him, up along the corridor to the table in the top left corner and read the note:

WESTMOST HIDDEN PALACE IS THE SECRET.

(oO?) "What?" indeed, but noted. There's another message on a table in the middle of this area but we can only reach it via stairs from elsewhere. The top right room is unlocked and has stairs going up.

(3F)

Pokemon Found

.............

Day: Spearow, Jigglypuff

Night: Houndour, Murkrow, Gligar

Doduo, Sneasel

They just lead to a left side balcony on the rooftop. We pick up a Razor Fang.

Back to 2F, there's another room near the bottom right corner which also has upward stairs, yet currently locked. Hit the switch again to unlock it. Those stairs take us to the rooftop.

Burglar spotted near the northern room.

Burglar (Lv38 Ninetales) Prize: P3420

He's looking for the greenhouse (?). There's a switch in there but hold off on pressing it yet, carry on to the right for the other rooms. One is occupied but locked, the top right one has a note about 7 hidden doors which connect to that Hidden Palace. On the table is a Razor Claw. Bottom right corner room has stairs going down and a leap off spot, both take us back to 2F's middle portion where there's a note on a table near water. This note says 7 Power Gems unlock the sealed doors of Crystal Island. Now hit that rooftop switch and meet the Scientist occupying that room with a leap off spot.

Scientist (Lv33 Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb) Prize: P1650

Leap of faith off the roof and land safely back on 1F, in the occupied room where there's another Scientist.

Scientist (Lv34 Magnemite, Electrode) Prize: P1700

South from him is an Escape Rope on a table. To the right are stairs heading down to the greenhouse that Burglar is searching for. Aha :)

(Greenhouse)

Pokemon Found

Tangela, Growlithe, Exeggcute, Vulpix, Lickitung, Scyther

Surf: Slowpoke, Poliwag, Goldeen, Psyduck, Poliwhirl

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Poliwag, Goldeen

Super Rod: Nothing

That item across the water is TM39 (Rock Slide). To the left is a secret switch, looking like the Guardian Shrine from Ilex Forest. It unlocks the grassy area just north of that Burglar while closing the path on the left.

Burglar (Lv34 Growlithe, Ponyta) Prize: P3060

In that grassy area is Rare Candy. Almost easy to miss the items because everything is green! They look like those round shrubs. Go left and carry on north.

Burglar (Lv40 Umbreon) Prize: P3600

He tells us that there's drainage damage here but the switches can reactivate the water pumps. North from him is another switch to unlock the path going left. On the right is TM22 (Solarbeam) across some water. Left has another item across water, TM41(Sky Attack). Bottom left has one more note - Steelhan has agreed to merge Team Rocket with the Epsilonists. Same Steelhan who sent that Rocket to stop us outside the Mega Mart, this note is from last year (the game is set in 1999). Below the note is the real prize, HM03 (Surf)!

We're done here for now. Got the HM, just need the right Badge and that means going back home for that 5th Gym.

PACELEAF GYM

------------

Leader: Slye

Epsilon Program, wizards and now we got ninjas! Dark-type is the theme here. 6 Gym Trainers present and 4 of them are waiting to hit us with 4-way ambush. Here we go!

Tamer (Lv38 Houndour, Crobat) Prize: P1520

Juggler (Lv40 Houndoom) Prize: P1400

Tamer (Lv36 Pupitar, Sneasel, Arbok) Prize: P1440

Juggler (Lv36 Sneasel, Gligar, Houndour) Prize: P1260

Juggler (Lv35 Houndour, Sneasel) Prize: P1225

Juggler (Lv33 Murkrow x2, Houndour) Prize: P1155

Then we meet the Master, who drops some wise words before the match. Wiser words have never been spoken :)

>>GYM BATTLE<<

==============

Leader Slye Prizes: P4455 + Moon Badge + TM20 (Crunch)

(Lv40 Umbreon, Houndoom, Lv42 Honchkrow, Lv45 Weavile)

Use of Surf outside of battle granted, excellent! Travelling has just stepped up to the next gear and we can backtrack for stuff and exploration too now. Slye also tells us that Team Rocket is looking for weapons so they'll be targeting a weapons facility. Gym Guide guy brings up the name of someone named Kamina, who's somewhere in this region. Where though?

Let's fly back to Quartz Town and tackle that Gym now that we can swim. Once back there, surf west. If you'd like to do a bit of shopping before stepping into the Gym, enter the house next door:

Ultra Ball P1200

Hyper Potion P1500

Max Ether P2000

Upgrade P2400

(Each costs P3200)

Metal Coat

King's Rock

Razor Fang

Razor Claw

De-Stone

QUARTZ TOWN GYM

---------------

Leader: Flannery (?!)

This joint is setup like the old Karate Dojo in Saffron City. Fight!

Blackbelt (Lv31 Machop, Mankey, Primeape) Prize: P775

Blackbelt (Lv32 Machop, Machoke) Prize: P800

Blackbelt (Lv36 Primeape) Prize: P900

Blackbelt (Lv31 Mankey x2, Primeape) Prize: P775

So this is where Flannery was back in '99, eh? Her security detail used Fighting-types but she's still a Fire-type specialist, as she should :)

>>GYM BATTLE<<

==============

Leader Flannery Prize: P1590

(Lv46 Flareon, Lv47 Magmar, Lv48 Ninetales, Lv50 Rapidash, Arcanine, Lv53 Torkoal)

Unfortunately the Elite 4 won't recognise her Badge so instead she'll offer us one of two rare Pokemon - Espeon or Umbreon. Thanks, Elite 4!

So ends our Quartz Town time. To the east is an opening leading back into Frejon Tunnel, a shortcut to the first area. We'll come out of that opening in the northeast corner beyond the pool of water.

Now that we can Surf let's cover some ground and hopefully find our way forward.

Return to Route 65 and the 2 jetties south from the Grape Mansion. Surf off of the right side jetty to find the 3rd and final relic - Aqua Relic (this gets you TM48 Hyper Voice from the Relic hunter lady at the Mega Mart) and then continue south from the left side jetty. At the end of the path is the entrance to the Uri Tunnel. Leads all the way to Gadow City, we're told. Down the stairs and get ready for some side-scroller antics, black and white style!

URI TUNNEL

----------

Pokemon Found

.............

Graveler, Golbat, Gligar, Onix, Larvitar, Lickitung, Dugtrio

All the way to the bottom of those ladders and then continue west until you see a short ladder going south, that's the secret entrance to the PokeGod Factory.

POKEGOD FACTORY

---------------

Even the guard we meet is surprised to see us here, can't blame him haha this seems so random. That office near him is the Warehouse, go in and pick up a Grape Stone (oO?) According to the Readme it's used to make a PokeGod, somehow :) next door is the Zombie Lab, where there's an actual zombie pacing around (?!). Close that door, you saw nothing! Next area is the Research Room, a few researchers are present. One of them is a wizard who transfigures Mist Stones from Geodude. I came back here with a Geodude but nothing happened. One of the computers has a note about a planned sequel for Grape called Pokemon Peach. You never know haha. The Scientist on the right says they've invented a Stone which only evolves one Pokemon species. That's all for the PokeGod Factory. Back to Uri Tunnel and continue west. Eventually we'll pop out in Gadow City, near the hill where the Pokemon Ranger we've heard about lives. No translator according to the sign by the house, fantastic. How good is your Vietnamese?

The man is home and our chat with him is colourful to say the least, don't bother trying to figure him out. We'll be back later, hopefully with a translator.

We can finally reach that curious Pokemon near the Buris City Gym. Fly back there and surf to it. Unfortunately we can't catch it or battle it, but we do notice that it looks like a Marill but is not exactly a Marill (?).

Back home in Paceleaf City. Surf west to find a man who'll give us TM37 (Dream Eater).

We return to Route 56 south of Rustel City. In the Gate we'll find Prof. Bek's Aide, he'll give us HM05 (Flash) if we've caught 12 or more Pokemon. I guess we missed him, but we got the Lighter so no problem.

ROUTE 56 (South of Rustel City)

--------

To the left is the shortcut from Mt. Lyre we came out of before we got Cut. Follow that path left to find the lovely PokeBall Factory. Bring a Porygon and the Itemfinder with you.

POKEBALL FACTORY

----------------

We would be here for a nice tour any other day but it looks like we're not the only ones around. Go north.

Super Nerd (Lv20 Porygon, Voltorb, Magnemite, Ditto) Prize: P500

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv22 Raticate, Exeggcute, Lickitung) Prize: P770

Straight on ahead to a Scientist who sells PokeBalls:

Great Ball P600

Ultra Ball P1200

Fast Ball P1000

Net Ball P1000

Dive Ball P1000

Nest Ball P1000

From there turn left and go south to meet this Burglar:

Burglar (Lv23 Aron, Gligar) Prize: P2070

On the right from him is the Control Room. First to see us is an Engineer.

Engineer (Lv23 Jolteon, Porygon2) Prize: P1150

Put Porygon in the 1st position of your party and enter the office. That computer ahead of us is the Main Frame and there's a message about not bringing Porygon or the Itemfinder. Too late :) we'll use the Itemfinder and a gate will open somewhere in the factory. We've just hacked the Main Frame successfully, brilliant. Leave the office and the Control Room and continue north all the way from the Burglar to the area with computers. There's a door that was hidden before now revealed, it leads to a small corridor with 2 portraits. If you try to pass the first one you'll be stopped. Only someone named Regina and her associates can be here. Leave the corridor and cross over to the east side of the factory, the gate which blocked this area from us is gone.

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv24 Swinub, Jynx) Prize: P840

South from her is the woman named Regina, the freelance PokeBall artisan. Bring her a Rare Candy and she'll give you a Shiny Ball. She says she's working on a few special types of PokeBall but needs the funds for the project. 5 Big Pearls. In exchange for those she'll give us a Snag Ball.

Leave the factory. Got these 3 Trainers waiting south of the Gate before we surf further south:

Bug Catcher (Lv24 Ariados) Prize: P240

Bug Catcher (Lv18 Venonat, Paras, Spinarak) Prize: P180

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv18 Bellsprout, Ponyta, Krabby) Prize: P360

Jump in the water and continue south. Got a private conversation we bust into:

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv45 Kingler, Starmie) Prize: P1575

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv34 Gloom, Weepinbell) Prize: P680

Then we'll reach the north side of Gondwan City. One last Trainer:

Jr. Trainer[M] (Lv35 Exeggcute, Gengar) Prize: P700

And wouldn't you know it, we couldn't reach the Gym in Gondwan because we didn't have Surf :) glad we got here, just in time.

GONDWAN CITY GYM

----------------

Leader: Waspia

It's only fitting that a Bug-type Gym is designed like a forest...but did it have to be like Fracture Hill? Oh and there are warp tiles too, like we're back in Sabrina's Gym. Brace yourselves, if you weren't a fan of that Gym back in the day, well...

The Entrance warp tile takes us to what we'll call Area 1. There are 4 tiles and we've just appeared from the top right one.

Bug Catcher #1 (Lv40 Butterfree, Beedrill) Prize: P400

The top left tile leads to a Super Nerd (Area 2), we'll appear from the bottom right tile:

Super Nerd (Lv34 Parasect, Beedrill, Yanma) Prize: P850

Bottom left tile leads to Bug Catcher #2 (Area 3), we'll appear from the bottom right tile:

Bug Catcher #2 (Lv44 Pinsir) Prize: P440

Bottom right tile leads to Bug Catcher #3 (Area 4), also appearing from the bottom right tile:

Bug Catcher #3 (Lv38 Beedrill, Butterfree, Venomoth) Prize: P380

In Area 2, the top right tile takes us back to Area 3. Top left tile leads to a Channeler (Area 5), we'll pop up from the bottom left tile:

Channeler (Lv38 Ariados, Venomoth x2) Prize: P1140

Bottom left tile leads to Bug Catcher #4 (Area 6), we'll pop up from the bottom left tile:

Bug Catcher #4 (Lv38 Yanma, Ariados, Scyther) Prize: P380

In Area 3, top left tile goes back to Area 4. Bottom left tile returns to Area 5. Top right tile takes us to Super Nerd #2 (Area 7), we'll pop up from the bottom right tile:

Super Nerd #2 (Lv36 Venonat, Yanma, Ariados) Prize: P900

In Area 4, top right tile goes back to Area 3. Bottom right tile returns to Area 1. Bottom left tile returns to Area 2. Top left tile leads to Bug Catcher #5 (Area 8), pop up from top left tile:

Bug Catcher (Lv38 Yanma, Ariados, Scyther) Prize: P380

Use that top right tile to FINALLY reach Waspia. How was that? Fun?? Waspia is a big fan of ours and would like an autograph. But there's no paper, so we'll sign on her ch...

Leader Waspia Prizes: P4851 + Beatle Badge + TM42 (X-Scissor)

Makes Pokemon up to Level 70 obey us. And it looks like we may have gotten ourselves a side chick haha, erm...just don't tell Keira.

That's Gondwan City in the bag. We can surf across the water to the south and check out Route 69 a.k.a Gondwan Beach.

Koffing, Graveler, Golbat, Grimer, Ponyta, Onix, Magmar, Sneasel

Make your way south and enter the next area.

(Lower Area - Left Side)

The one guy here says this is a long tunnel connecting the 2 regions. Yeah, as you're going to see while we travel along, he's not joking. Climb up the ladder to reach another side-scroll stage.

Just cross the railtrack over the gap to the next ladder and pop up on the right side.

In the top right corner is Rare Candy. Down the ladder for a side-scroll level.

Pokemon Found

.............

Surf: Azumarill, Muk, Koffing, Golduck, Slowbro, Grimer, Weezing

Much briefer than the other level, going to the right then up a ladder to the entrance/exit room.

Outside, we're still on Route 69. Got some Trainers in the water as we go south:

Swimmer (Lv36 Kingler, Dewgong) Prize: P180

Swimmer (Lv36 Seadra, Slowbro, Cloyster, Starmie) Prize: P180

Swimmer (Lv38 Starmie, Tentacruel, Vaporeon) Prize: P190

This Beauty is on the left side of the cave entrance we can see below:

Beauty (Lv38 Starmie, Azumarill, Lapras) Prize: P2660

On the right is this guy and then we touch down on the island:

Swimmer Prize: P170

(Lv34 Starmie, Kingler, Tentacruel, Lanturn, Politoed)

But just on the south side of the island is one more Swimmer:

Swimmer (Lv34 Horsea, Chinchou) Prize: P170

That cave entrance leads back into the National Tunnel.

(Entrance Room)

The sign says we can buy a Mining Kit in a place called Haven City, we use that to dig up items like Stones or maybe find rare items. The man here says there are underwater caves in Frejo but we'll need that famous HM to explore them. Down the ladder we go.

(Lower Area)

And this place is another one which we'll come back to when we got that HM Dive, see the pool of water on the left. That man rocking the shades on the right is Kamina! He just says he has a plan that involves evading towards the surface, which apparently doesn't exist according to us. A little underwhelming haha, I thought he's a major character worth meeting. North of the pool is a Pearl. On the western side is a ladder going up to a side-scroll level so we can journey across that railtrack.

On the other side of the gap we'll meet a guy busy at work on a minecart railroad system. Bottom left from him is a Protector. Top left is another side-scroll level ladder.

The guard we find here warns us about lava pits ahead. Going all the way west until reaching a guard standing below a ladder. No passports needed, nice. Up the ladder and out of the cave. Welcome to Kelgo!

First stop in the new region, what does Haven City have to offer?

Leon is the same Leon we heard of at Lanette's house. He's the one who invented the Frejo PC Storage System and now he wants our help. He's got a genetic illness and a Gene Swap machine that brings back memories of Bill's machine haha. Leon goes into one of the pods and after we press random buttons by the computer he steps out of the other pod...as a woman! Huh, congratulations...? Meet Elza. He'll give us Grip Shoes, which will help us walk on sliding surfaces. Elza might be a reference to the iconic character from another big manga/anime series Fairy Tail. It's pretty good. From now on the Pokemon Storage becomes Elza's PC.

The Fishing Guru's youngest brother is the guy walking near that house by the water. His brother is teaching him how to Dive, so he can try to get back his girlfriend's Gold Watch that is lost at sea. Go into the house and receive HM06 (Dive) from the brother.

We'll need a Train Pass in order to travel by train, but in the Station is a man selling the Kanto Starters. Make a note of him and save your money, you'll be doing business with him sooner or later.

The northern way out of town is closed because of a rockslide, but there's a bit of grass with some Pokemon.

In the previous version, that house southeast from the Train Station was blocked by the guard because he would say that there's radioactive material on the route ahead (Route 76). But now he has stepped aside and we can enter the house, which also serves as a Gate leading to Route 76. But don't bother with that for now because beyond that route is Haven Forest, which is occupied by Sages who won't let you pass until you've defeated all the Trainers in 4 specific locations: the PokeBall Factory, the Fast Ship (S.S. Aqua), the Fish Factory and Turtle Rock. We've swept through 2 of those 4 areas so far, so we'll be back later.

In the western side of Haven City is another guard who was blocking that building near her but as you can see now the building has no door. But the information given by the guard has not changed: there are still riots going on near Turtle Rock...but she tells us NOT to access it via the hotspring, which is found in the PokeComCenter.

The guy found in every PokeCenter, sitting near the front desk, is Dave the wheelchair boy we heard about. We finally get his name. There's a 2-person long queue by the video phone because the man in front is asleep. It should go without saying that the PokeFlute will not wake him up, even with all the crazy things we've seen in this game so far haha. In the bottom right corner is an old guy who lost in a the Pokemon Card Tournament and he's not taking that loss very well, he's looking for an Escape Rope now. You can help him out by giving him one and in exchange he'll give you his Pokemon Cards, which are part of the Rainbow Deck. But don't feel bad, he admits to being a rapist in his younger days. I had a few Pokemon Cards many, many years ago but it was a case of being in the wrong place because there was no scene here for trading cards or tournaments, so no chance to dive into that section of the Pokemon universe.

For P300 you can visit the hotspring a.k.a Ember Spa. Heal your party in the middle of the occupied pool. There is some curious writing on the rock wall between the other pools but it can only be read by the Ghost Scope:

FIRST COMES BLASTOISE. LAST COMES CHARIZARD.

Remember the Starter Vendor? Get those 2 Pokemon, come back to the Hotsprings, put Blastoise in the 1st position of your party and Charizard in 6th position then read the message again. A secret opening will appear on the left. If you're short on cash, you can get money from your girlfriend back in Paceleaf City and from one of the Sages in Haven Forest (the first 2 you'll meet won't require you to have cleared those 4 areas).

TURTLE ROCK

Pokemon Found

.............

Ponyta, Koffing, Houndour, Growlithe, Magmar, Vulpix, Onix

[Entrance Area]

Straight ahead to the main area.

[Area A]

Interesting setup we got in this place: Trainers, items, boulders and floor switches. Here are the Trainers:

In the middle is a Juggler.

Juggler (Lv42 Exeggcute, Mismagius, Hypno, Slowking) Prize: P1470

On the left is a Blackbelt. In the top left corner from him is a Dusk Ball.

Blackbelt (Lv45 Poliwrath, Heracross, Hitmontop) Prize: P1125

To the south near one switch is a Juggler.

Juggler (Lv50 Mr. Mime) Prize: P1750

Further south is an opening to another area, pause on that for now. Southeast has a Tamer and another switch.

Tamer (Lv48 Dragonair, Quagsire) Prize: P1920

To the right from him is a path blocked by a barrier. Move the boulder to the switch near the Juggler to open that path. It'll take us to the northeast section where we find a Snag Ball and Level 50 Moltres! Legendary Bird collection now complete :) we can leave this area.

[Area B]

First Trainer is a PokeManiac.

PokeManiac (Lv45 Donphan, Electivire, Torkoal) Prize: P2250

That is TM38 (Fire Blast) on the left and the exit back into town is below. 3 of the 4 areas cleared, only the Trainers in the Fish Factory remain.

You can visit the Gym, which is led by Bora the Wind-type specialist, but he/she is on vacation at the moment so no challenging them yet. This Kelgo's 3rd Gym.

Well, that was quite the adventure wasn't it? I didn't expect we'd go so far. Got to check out a little bit of Kelgo, got a pair of Grip Shoes, HM Dive and some PokeCards. Let's return to Frejo and continue exploring with our Surfing and see where we end up next. Don't forget to try out Dive in the National Tunnel.

(National Tunnel Underwater)

Really amazing to see an underwater level in Gen 1 form. Go north to the opening, the exit is in the next room.

Big area here, make your way north. Northwest has a spot where we resurface, while northeast has what's left of that ship we heard about which sank along this route, the S.S. Concord, but there's nothing inside for now. Resurface.

Surf west to touch down on land and meet some Trainers.

Lass (Lv48 Nidoking, Nidoqueen) Prize: P720

Hiker (Lv40 Graveler, Onix, Pupitar, Lairon) Prize: P1400

Youngster (Lv48 Raichu, Arcanine) Prize: P720

He says the Route 73 is the dangerous Frego-Kelgo border. To the left from him is the Pokemon League main entrance building. Below is a ledge we'll jump off of on our way back, because obviously we're not here for the League proper :) just seeing how far we can get. Continue south from the building, meeting the Hiker, then up the hill.

Hiker (Lv50 Excadrill) Prize: P1750

Last Trainer before the League.

Hiker (Lv50 Lairon, Torkoal) Prize: P1750

In the building is the first Badge Check guard and we go out onto the Badge Check route.

Junior spotted on a platform.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv44 Nuzleaf, Pidgeot) Prize: P880

We'll soon reach land and meet a Hiker who may have jumped from 1999 to 2012 haha.

Hiker (Lv36 Psyduck, Rhyhorn) Prize: P1260

Good old Gangnam Style :) return to Gadow City. We got Surf and Dive now so let's find out what's underneath Wizard Peak.

Afterwards back out and leap off the ledge and jump into that Ebola source hole, which warps us back outside to the entrance/exit on Route 71.

Fly back to Megan City and head south for Route 55. Next stop, the Fish Factory. Bring the PokeFlute and a Pokemon that can Dive.

On the jetty before the factory is this guy:

Cue Ball (Lv33 Tentacool, Tentacruel, Golduck) Prize: P825

The entrance into the building is on the left side. Closed down because of a fatal accident.

Juggler (Lv42 Ditto, Mr. Mime) Prize: P1470

Up those stairs near him.

[Top Area]

Got a Frankenstein-level Scientist here, stairs going down and a Net Ball in the bottom right corner. We can see the area directly below.

Scientist (Lv39 Magneton, Omanyte, Kabuto, Anorith) Prize: P1950

[Main Area]

Waiting for us down here is a Rocket-looking Cooltrainer. A disciple of the Epsilon Program. In the left corner is a Dragonscale. A male Cooltrainer is below on the right:

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv44 Kingler, Cloyster) Prize: P1540

Surf across from him to pick up a Dome Fossil. On the left side is a Dive spot. To the south is the main entrance/exit.

[Fish Factory Underwater]

Going east then north so we can get that item, a Dive Ball, and carry on northwest. The path goes to the bottom left corner where we can resurface.

[Area B]

Female Cooltrainer spotted:

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv43 Persian, Ninetales, Raichu) Prize: P1505

She and her crew polluted the water here with radioactive stuff. Absolute heels these guys are. In the north room we find the 3 Beasts, but they look to be under some kind of spell and need to be woken up. In the previous version all you needed to do was step on the platform and play the PokeFlute to wake them up, but now (according to the game's Readme file) when you interact with the platform you're shown a riddle in Braille. I didn't know about this change because my save file is from after I got to the end of v1.4, and if I go back to the Factory now I get a normal message when I interact with the platform. So I can't help you with the riddle :/ solve it and interact with the platform again to awaken the beasts. After they run off into the wind you can exit through the opening to the south, we'll pop out from a left side building. Fish Factory Trainers have been taken care of and that means we'll be able to stroll through Haven Forest next time we're in Kelgo. Our journey south continues, back into the water and meet this guy and his Kingdra:

Swimmer (Lv41 Kingdra) Prize: P205

Got a left path and a right path. On the left:

Swimmer (Lv35 Poliwhirl, Wartortle) Prize: P175

Swimmer (Lv34 Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Politoed) Prize: P170

On the right:

Swimmer (Lv37 Seadra, Azumarill) Prize: P185

Fisherman (Lv36 Gyarados, Cloyster, Starmie, Lanturn) Prize: P1260

Both paths lead to land and a Gate. That's the good news...the bad news is the guard won't let us through because he and others are on strike. Really, guys?

We fly to Gondwan City and go west, back to Route 67.

Now you can get the item on the hill behind the Trainer - TM02 (Dragon Claw). Waiting on a platform across the water is a Hiker.

Hiker (Lv34 Graveler, Golem) Prize: P1190

A few more Trainers on the next big platform:

Jr. Trainer[M] Prize: P760

(Lv38 Weepingbell, Sandslash, Dugtrio, Drilbur)

Bug Catcher (Lv38 Beedrill, Yanmega) Prize: P380

Bug Catcher (Lv32 Yanma, Venomoth, Pinsir) Prize: P320

Next platform has a Junior.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv33 Vileplume, Victreebel, Leafeon) Prize: P660

She tells us that Team Rocket went to Silten City. What are they up to this time? Continue on until we reach a fork in the path, one branch goes north to a grassy area with a Youngster and the other branch carries on west. Either way, this is Route 68.

Then we get back on the western path. First person we meet looks to be a friend named Dom, he invites us to a party that his baseball team has organised. Why not, we got time. There are Trainers at this party too, here they are:

Youngster (Lv37 Nidorino, Sandslash) Prize: P555

Lass (Lv35 Clefable, Wigglytuff) Prize: P525

Psychic (Lv48 Alakazam) Prize: P480

Bug Catcher (Lv36 Yanma, Ariados, Scyther) Prize: P360

Lass (Lv37 Persian, Nidorina) Prize: P555

The Silten Gate is on the left and the guard in there is also on strike. What do these fellas even drink anyway? Fly back to Gondwan City or to Cherry City for the Mega Mart and buy a drink (Fresh Water or Lemonade or PokeCola, your choice). That does the trick and opens all the Gates leading in and out of Silten City.

Damn it, we've arrived too late. Team Rocket have already taken over the Weapon Depot. The Gym and the Silten Forest Entrance are blocked, no surprise. Let's look around before storming that Depot.

There's trouble at the Train Station, got a couple of people wanting a fight:

Rocket (Lv34 Raticate, Golbat, Machoke, Lickitung) Prize: P1360

Scientist (Lv38 Electrode, Bayleef) Prize: P1900

Near the train is one of the 4 Rocket Brothers.

Rocket (Lv35 Ivysaur, Weezing, Arbok) Prize: P1400

3 more to find. You get TM06 (Toxic) from the man in the PokeDetox Inc. House. In the previous version we could just storm into the Depot and clean house but now there's a Rocket Grunt blocking the entrance. I'm going based on what the Readme says because my own savegame is from way ahead after completing the quests and everything so this dude isn't there when I went back to Silten. In order to get rid of him we'll need the help of the Bounty Killer that he claims he isn't afraid of. The man lives in a place called Hardat City, which is the next town we can reach after Haven Forest.

Back to Kelgo, through the Gate/house and onto Route 76.

ROUTE 76

--------

Not much here, no Trainers and no Pokemon. Just a railroad, a tunnel and to the east is the entrance to Haven Forest, occupied by folks who are part of Hare Khrishna (I have no internet at the moment so I can't confirm but I'm guessing that's a section of Hindu or something?). Those are the Sages. How bad could they be?

HAVEN FOREST

------------

The blue is back, it's been a while :) the first two Sages we find will help if you want to reset the clock or randomly change the time. The next Sage up ahead and the others past him on the way east will then let us pass since we defeated all those Trainers in those 4 locations.

There's a cemetery after the second Sage, if you have a Pokemon that knows Strength you can move the centre-right tombstone in the middle row. That reveals steps that lead to a secret area occupied by Hardat City's infamous Barber! Yup folks, you want certain Pokemon evolved? He's your guy, like we're back in Gen 2 days all over again haha. A pretty straightforward stroll through this area, just south from the last Sage is the exit.

We'll be back on Route 76, near the gate leading into Hardat City and a construction site left without workers. In the gate is a Council Estate which is just like the one in Frejo with a veteran Trainer.

Just north from gate entrance is a notice about the city's Barber has been outlawed to Haven Forest. That house above the notice belongs to Miss Kelgo. You can reset the Shiny cheat code from that Gameboy on the table. On that computer in the left corner is a lovely picture of Miss Kelgo :) Miss Kelgo INDEED.

Southeast from her house is the Pokemon Smeller's place. From Move Tutors, Move Deleters, Breeders, Name Raters and now we have a bona fide Smeller. Unbelievable. She'll identify the last Pokemon you encountered based on its lingering smell (even if the last Pokemon you may have encountered was in the previous version??). On her computer is a picture of you, Lara and Keira.

The guard in the northwest corner of town has some information about Route 75, which is not there because of strong currents. As for the guard south of the PokeCenter says Route 89 is closed because of wild whirlpools appearing from nowhere.

The Move Tutor is in the north area of town. No Heart Scales necessary, he'll teach your Pokemon moves for P300. Nice picture of Crystal Island on his computer.

There is a Gym here but no way into it and the Gym Leader, Precious the Light-type specialist, is currently serving a 10-year jail sentence. What the...

In the PokeCenter, by a desk in the northwest section is the Bounty Killer Joe. Again, if you don't enough money remember the Sage and your girlfriend.

If you got that S.S. Ticket with you, let's visit the Harbour. The S.S. Aqua is present and is one more means of transport we can use to cross between regions. You do that by taking a nap in your cabin (the top left room). Otherwise there's nothing else to do here, it's the same setup as when the ship is in Snorkel City. One-way trip though, can't sail back to Hardat :/

With the Rocket Grunt blocking the Depot entrance taken care of, it's time for us to bust in. Bring along the Grip Gloves with you.

SILTEN CITY WEAPON DEPOT

------------------------

Here come those memories of Silph Co. from back in the day. This 1st floor is large, on the left is a warp tile but it's an Exit tile from somewhere up stairs. On the right though, mind those darker coloured tiles, it's not there for decoration. They're laser pads and if you step on them you'll be sent back outside. The idea is to reach the stairs at the center of that mini maze, they lead to the 3 basement areas.

[Basement 1]

Just a guy who's hiding, smart move. Next stairs.

[Basement 2]

The next stairs are at the end of that middle path, just blocked by a Rocket.

Rocket (Lv35 Drowzee, Hypno, Rhydon) Prize: P1400

[Basement 3]

That item on the right is a Full Heal. We're aiming for the doorway at the northern end of the room. Got a Rocket on the left and a Scientist in the middle.

Rocket (Lv38 Sandslash, Machamp) Prize: P1520

Scientist (Lv42 Electrode) Prize: P2100

Doorway leads back to the 1st floor, northwest area. There's a statue with a switch on. Pressing it deactivates the laser pads. Going up.

[2F]

From laser pads to slide tiles. Of the first 3 we reach, use the one pointing left. We'll be sent spinning all the way south to stairs going below where we can pick up an Escape Rope. Slide back to the start and use the other tile, which takes us to a Rocket on the left.

Rocket (Lv34 Gligar, Weezing, Arbok, Houndoom, Crobat) Prize: P1360

From him use the one pointing up and you're safe to continue north for the Scientist and the stairs going up.

Scientist (Lv38 Porygon, Magneton, Porygon2) Prize: P1900

[3F]

Scientist (Lv37 Ditto, Porygon, Muk, Electrode) Prize: P1850

We can't access the upper portion of the room because the arrows there point in the opposite direction, so go to the left where there's a Rocket and a way out to the balcony.

Rocket (Lv40 Marowak, Hypno) Prize: P1600

[3F Balcony]

Without those Grip Gloves your 1st position Pokemon would be instantly frozen as soon as you get here because of a cold wind blowing over. The Rocket we meet first is Rocket Brother #2.

Rocket (Lv38 Golbat, Nidoking) Prize: P1520

Bottom right corner from him is an X Accuracy. Next Rocket is by the middle tables, it's the same guy whose Grip Gloves we found at the Villa. Safe to tell him that they work just fine :)

Rocket (Lv37 Raticate, Machoke, Kangaskhan) Prize: P1480

By the top left table is an HP Up and a Scientist.

Scientist (Lv35 Porygon, Electrode, Electabuzz, Ampharos) Prize: P1750

[4F]

Top floor, we can see the office on the right. Below is a Rocket standing by opening.

Rocket (Lv38 Arbok, Weezing, Persian, Houndoom, Crobat) Prize: P1520

Another Rocket is on the right, near a PC.

Rocket (Lv40 Houndoom, Crobat, Golem) Prize: P1600

Make use of the PC if you need to. Continue along that corridor to reach stairs that lead back to 3F's upper side with the slide tiles pointing down. The woman there will give us TM04 (Amnesia). Back to the office so we can confront the Boss and get smacked with a massive plot twist - Steelhan is the Boss...and our brother! How, what, when, why?? We either join him or die.

>>BOSS BATTLE<<

===============

Steelhan Prize: P4950

(Lv45 Magnezone, Lv46 Onix, Lv47 Lairon, Lv50 Scizor)

And that means Paul is our nephew. Let that sink in for a bit. He warns about the competition being a plot that we have to stop. Then he has to leave before the cops roll up. What's his deal now? Speak to the President, he didn't make his money from dealing with Team Rocket but now that they're after us he gives us a Train Pass. Then he tells us that the competition is just a cover story and the war is set to go on, unless we stop the League.

With Team Rocket out of the way, we can visit the Gym.

SILTEN FOREST

Venomoth, Farfetch'd, Drowzee, Kadabra, Yanma, Mr. Mime, Hypno

Surf: Psyduck, Slowpoke, Seaking, Poliwhirl, Slowbro, Golduck

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Goldeen, Poliwag

Super Rod: Chinchou, Krabby, Horsea, Slowpoke

Go north to meet the first Trainer, a Psychic.

Psychic (Lv40 Natu, Venomoth, Kadabra, Mr. Mime) Prize: P400

Follow the path up the hill and stay north.

Psychic (Lv44 Slowbro, Slowking) Prize: P440

We'll reach the water on the left, surf up to find a Net Ball. That Scientist across isn't a Trainer but thanks to the Itemfinder he's found some fossils around here. Surf south until reaching a hill with a Psychic on it. The Gate leading out of the forest is only a few more steps below.

Psychic (Lv42 Hypno, Exeggutor, Xatu) Prize: P420

He stands near the Silten Forest Shrine, dedicated to the forest's protectors, but it is currently empty. Enter the Gate, the guard says the Dragon Shrine is at the end of a tunnel that we reach via those stairs below. This is unexpected, a Dragon Shrine?

Down the stairs, follow the tunnel and behold the blue room. Pretty fancy looking. The man on the left is looking to trade his Bagon for a Dratini. Man on the right has some information that Hidden Palace we found notes for in the Alpine Mansion. 7 Power Gems are in the Hidden Palace and they unlock Crystal Island. Then there's the man up ahead, he'll teach us the almighty Falcon Punch, which grants us the power of the almighty Rock Smash (if there are any My Hero Academia fans out there among you, you're welcome). One rock we could try this on is in Mt. Lyre. Leaving via the exit below leads back to the forest and this time we'll be north from the Gate. You'll find a Metal Coat on the left near the roof of the Dragon Shrine.

Climb the hill and circle round to where that Scientist is, you'll find TM22 (Solarbeam). Back up the hill and go northeast where you'll see steps going below. They lead to the subway we heard about, connecting the forest to the Megan Museum of Science. One of the Scientists will give us the Claw Fossil (gets you Anorith). Return to the Gate and out through the west exit.

Home of Badge #8 for the Frejo region, let's see what's here.

The Lauras City Fossil Lab is in the southern area. First Scientist we meet is looking to trade his Aron for a Pikachu. Second Scientist will revive fossils for us.

To reach the Gym we must survive Lauras Cave but hold off on jumping in there just yet because we lack the Strength for it.

Southwest has the main entrance for the Safari Zone. How does the Frejo Safari Zone fair against other Safari Zones we've been in from other games, I wonder?

SAFARI ZONE

-----------

Speak to the lady at the front desk for information. There are 5 zones, someone in town says that the 5th one has a legendary Pokemon. Like the classic Safari Zone there is limited time and we'll receive 30 Safari Balls. Each zone has different Pokemon so have an empty PC Box ready. It's P500 to get in.

On the hill when we enter this area, behind the trees on the left is a Cottage. Go right, down the hill and down those steps below, returning to the north ledge in Area 2 that had an item, it's TM29 (Psychic). Back to the hill and circle round going to the left and then to the right, off the hill. There's a signpost with a notice saying Area 5 is closed until next year. Really? South from it is the Rest House. Carry on east for Area 4.

Up that hill on the right, you'll see the Rest House. Go south the southwest to find a King's Rock. Go southeast to find a path which leads back to Area 1's northeast area. We can now reach that item above the Rest House - the Translator! Nice find. Back to Area 4 and go northeast for the final area. Climb the hill and travel all the way to the left until you jump off a ledge near water. That item is TM05 (Mega Horn). Once you're back in Area 5 and on that hill, continue northeast to a ladder going under.

[Area 4 Underground A]

Pokemon Found

.............

Aerodactyl, Hitmonlee, Onix, Graveler, Golbat, Hitmonchan

Look what we have here, a Trainer. Safari Zone has just gotten serious haha, not bad. Plus, no Safari Zone rules here and in Area 5. Pokemon appear normally for capture or battle.

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv51 Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise) Prize: P1785

We'll be back with HM Strength to move that boulder all the way to a metal pad switch on the left which brings down the barrier that's on the hill to the south. But there are 2 more Trainers and items that we can get to at least. Below from that Cooltrainer is a female one and a Cottage.

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv50 Chansey, Vileplume, Glaceon) Prize: P1750

Next female Cooltrainer is bottom left, near a Hacker's Disc.

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv52 Victreebel, Jolteon, Jynx) Prize: P1820

Done for now, leave the Safari Zone when you're ready and return to Gadow City.

The Pokemon Ranger gets the Translator (popping it into his mouth like a certain Safari Zone Warden from Kanto haha) and can speak normally again. He'll then give us HM04 (Strength)! Our HM collection is now complete. Try out Strength on that boulder and get the Metal Coat. The Ranger asks if we've heard of the Grape Lodge, the Hidden Palace or Captain Akab. Grape Lodge is new, is that in Kelgo? Fly back to Lauras City and enter Lauras Cave.

LAURAS CAVE

Pokemon Found

Dugtrio, Nidorino, Nidorina, Graveler, Porygon, Golbat, Onix

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Poliwag, Goldeen

[Main Area]

Push the boulder on the left side up to the metal pad switch up north. That'll clear the path on the hill near the entrance and we can meet the first Trainer.

Cooltrainer[F] (Lv50 Nidorina, Skarmory) Prize: P1750

In the bottom right corner is a ladder going below. Pause on that and go up instead for the other Cooltrainer.

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv43 Anorith, Nidoking, Rhydon, Tyranitar) Prize: P1505

That's a Protector near him and a ladder going up. That's the ladder we want, it leads straight to the Gym.

LAURAS CITY GYM

---------------

Leader:

Good grief, have we just walked into a Lego playset maze?? Those look like Lego blocks! Steel-type is the order of the day here but Gym Trainers use other types like Rock or Bone. No problem. Also, mind the red tiles in the floor. They will poison your 1st position Pokemon if you step on them. Mazes are not easy to guide through in text form like this, so I'm just going to indicate which Gym Trainers are there and the items found.

First opponent, a Cooltrainer, is north from the entrance. The item above him is TM47 (Steel Wing).

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv54 Shelgon) Prize: P1890

West from him is a Blackbelt.

Blackbelt (Lv52 Lairon, Tyranitar) Prize: P1300

Southwest from him is a Cooltrainer.

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv51 Piloswine, Magnezone) Prize: P1785

Northwest from him, facing the left side wall is a Blackbelt.

Blackbelt (Lv54 Steelix) Prize: P1350

In the middle area is a Tamer.

Tamer (Lv51 Tauros, Excadrill) Prize: P2040

Just to the right from him is another Tamer.

Tamer (Lv54 Mamoswine) Prize: P2160

Northwest from him is a Blackbelt.

Blackbelt (Lv49 Kangaskhan, Scizor, Excadrill) Prize: P1225

Also in the middle area is a Cooltrainer, final Gym Trainer.

Cooltrainer[M] (Lv51 Lairon, Steelix) Prize: P1785

Way to the south from him is the 8th Frejo Gym Leader, our big brother Steelhan! Seems we're too late, Team Rocket have sent the weapons to the Kelgo Army. We try to tell him that he was tricked by Kifflom and this is all for starting a war to trigger Driadjin...but Steelhan won't believe us, there's only one thing left to do.

>>GYM BATTLE<<

==============

Leader Steelhan Prizes: P5940 + Shield Badge + TM23 (Iron Tail)

(Lv53 Skarmory, Lv54 Magnezone, Lv55 Armaldo, Lv57 Excadrill, Lv60 Aggron)

Pokemon of any level will obey us now. Steelhan finally sees reason and is now helping us against the League. Iron Tail was made by our Dad before he passed away. Steelhan suggests we go to his Villa to update Paul. Kelgo's leader is working with Kifflom. He says he'll stop Kifflom and disappears.

All Gym Badges have been obtained, the Pokemon League is that much closer now. Go back into Lauras Cave and let's see where that other ladder leads.

[Lauras Cave Lower Area]

That is Rare Candy on the left side of that pool. The exit is just below. We'll be on the hill southeast in town. Carry on east to descend back onto Route 70. The path eventually returns to sea but we're on the south side.

Beauty (Lv48 Lanturn) Prizes: P3360

And at the end of this weird detour is the Power Plant. Who would've thunk it? In we go.

POWER PLANT

-----------

Pokemon Found

.............

Pikachu, Magnemite, Flaaffy, Electabuzz, Mareep, Electrode, Magneton, Voltorb

Still an ominous joint, even in a new region. On the right is a Level 40 Voltorb pretending to be an item ball, of course :) going left, we'll find 2 item balls on a table. Left one is TM25 (Thunder), right one is another Level 40 Voltorb. Continue until we find an item ball on a counter, that's a Level 50 Electrode. In the next room we'll find an Electrizer surrounded by boxes. Carry on all the way to the right end to battle another Level 50 Electrode. Back up and go northwest. That item between the 2 machines is a Level 50 Magneton. Bottom left end of the corridor has a Level 50 Electrode, while just above us near 2 machines is a Max Revive.

Further up, sandwiched between a box and a machine is a Level 55 Electrode. We'll then find 2 item balls between crates. Nugget on the right, Level 60 Electrode on the left. Reach the northeast area and check out Level 50 Zapdos! Makes sense :) below from it are a Fast Ball in the bottom right corner and stairs on the left that warp us outside. Smooth and clean run, wasn't it? Return to Lauras City and we can clear up Route 71 north of town. After that we go find Paul E. Dangerously.

First Trainer spotted is a PokeManiac.

PokeManiac (Lv48 Loudred, Exploud) Prize: P2400

Next Maniac is just across the water.

PokeManiac (Lv48 Espeon, Chimecho) Prize: P2400

Then we'll reach the ledge where there's the Gangnam Style Hiker. Fly back to Paceleaf City and go to the Villa. At the same spot where we battled Paul we meet him again and tell him about the Competition being a plot and everything but he already knows. Naturally he's not too happy about us being his uncle and so we fight. Can't pick your family for sure :)

>>RIVAL BATTLE<<

================

Rival Paul Prize: P3900

(Lv50 Houndoom, Lv52 Azumarill, Lv53 Gligar, Lv54 Electabuzz, Gengar, Lv60 Starter)

He won't come to his senses, he wants to win the Competition. Kelgo paid him a lot and now there's a betrayer among him and his crew. After he leaves, enter the Villa.

The Rocket and Scientist are gone now. We'll need a Card Key to access that top left room. Upstairs is TM11 (Gas Bomb).

I'm going to be backtracking next since we got Strength and the Falcon Punch. If you're ready to tackle the League now and will do this backtrack later, just skip down to "Back in the Pokemon League Main Building."

I returned to Mt. Lyre to try out Falcon Punch on that rock which is blocking a ladder. Rock breaks and a new area is unlocked, but there is nothing up there, yet? The Emergency Exit that's there is just a shortcut back to Route 51.

Back to Wizard Peak to push those boulders aside that are found in the area behind the waterfall. A ladder going up is found, it leads back to Route 71 and we're now above the cave entrance. A Hiker is here.

Hiker (Lv36 Pupitar, Golem) Prize: P1260

Past him is an entrance back into Wizard Peak, a side-scroll level. In there just go all the way to the top and exit out on Route 54. All the way to the right, ending up in Cherry City, to a building blocked by a Rocket. Only "VIPs" may enter :/

Back to Snorkel City to push that track by the dock aside and meet Level 50 Mew.

Back to the Safari Zone, Area 4 Underground. Move the boulder, barrier is gone, then continue to the southeast corner where there's a ladder leading back up to the surface. Another ladder is next to it taking us back under.

Make your way to the top right section. You'll see a boulder, which would be odd to find it here, but it's actually a Master Ball. Then straight south to surf across a pool of water, you should see the Pokemon we're here for on the hill on the right. Level 70 Mewtwo! Put that Master Ball to work. In the bottom left section is a Rock Drill, disguised as another boulder. This is a superior to tool to the Mining Pick because it can be used again and again. So ends our Safari Zone time.

Back in the Pokemon League Main Building. Going through the Badge Check area. From the guard who checks for the Spell Badge take the left path and continue north to the Victory Road Gate. The guard in there warns us about the place beyond, the Panopticon, being 4 dimensional maze (another maze!). It is also divided into a surface area and an underground area, with pitfalls along the way. The guard on the left is blocking the way to the border. How bad could it be?

Underground Surf: Golduck, Poliwhirl, Seadra, Kingler, Gyarados, Dewgong

Pretty bad haha, I spent quite some time wandering around this place. So please excuse the "shortcut" style guide I've got for it. It'll make sense as you follow it along:

From entrance, go south then turn right. Continue down and take first left turn to a ladder. New area (Underground Area B). Down the ladders until you reach the level with a lever on the left. It unlocks path on the upper level and blocks the ladder on right. Go back up and use the ladder on the upper level, takes us back outside. Go down, take left turn and follow. Ignore bottom left ladder (leads to Underground Area A and back to the entrance spot). Go up then take right turn to ladder going back to Underground B, now we're on the eastern side. Descend all the way to bottom level for a lever on the right. It unlocks a path on the left and closes the one above the ladder we just used. On the left side push the lever found there and go up the ladders then go right, then down the ladder and cross the gap going right. Up the ladder to return outside, new section. Take left turn, jump ledge, continue left to jump next ledge and carry on to another ladder. Now we're in Underground Area C. Go down the ladders to the lower level then go left until we can go even lower and continue left. Surf further left and up to a lever. Surf back and then climb up the new ladder for the next 2 levers. Up to top level and then go to the right to climb down another ladder. Cross the gap then go down the ladder, skip first ladder and up the next one. Go all the way to the right and down the ladder. Climb up the next one to meet Melissa. She was thrown down here by someone in a baseball cap (who could that be..?) She'll give us TM27 (Fissure). Climb back up and go to the ladder in the top right corner. Back outside, we are near an item on the right, a Snag Ball. But jump down the ledge on the left and the next one before climbing up a ladder for exit. PHEW. That shaved a couple of years off my lifespan!

We'll be in another Gate, exit and we're back on Route 73. Surf up and reach Nalta's Plateau, doorstep of the League.

Given that we're in an old school game, it shouldn't be a surprise that the Elite 4 are to be dealt with in succession. Enter a room, door is locked behind and you get to work or start from scratch if you lose. Heal up, gear up and let's go :)

First opponent is Bonita, a fan of Bone-type Pokemon.

>>ELITE 4 BATTLE<<

==================

Elite 4 Bonita Prize: P6435

(Lv60 Omastar, Lv61 Tauros, Lv62 Donphan, Lv63 Mamoswine, Lv65 Rhyperior)

Next is the one Elite 4 member we heard about, Spyro and it's only fitting that he has Dragon-type Pokemon haha, gotta complete the reference. For those of you who don't know, or weren't even around at the time, Spyro is a classic game from the Playstation 1 era.

>>ELITE 4 BATTLE<<

==================

Elite 4 Spyro Prize: P6831

(Lv63 Gyarados, Lv64 Aerodactyl, Lv65 Kingdra, Lv66 Dragonite, Lv69 Salamence)

Third member is another person we've heard about, Claire, who sold the Buris Gym to Grace. Again, who does that? She has Fairy-types for her team. She joined the League in order to stop the competition, knowing that's just a front.

>>ELITE 4 BATTLE<<

Elite 4 Claire Prize: P6930

Afterwards the woman faints, she's just had a heart attack (?!) We'll have to leave her here, can't help her. Next area is on board a ship. Final member is Matix, who is skilled with Wood-type Pokemon and is in charge of our baseball team! Unbelievable. He's the one who chose us for this competition and wants us to join them in their invasion of Kelgo. We refuse.

>>ELITE 4 BATTLE<<

Elite 4 Matix Prize: P7227

(Lv67 Victreebel, Lv68 Exeggutor, Lv69 Tropius, Lv70 Shiftry, Lv73 Trevenant)

Matix and his crew are suddenly infected with the PokeCom Virus that we've had all this time (?) to target them. We also find out that Paul has already won and is now leading the League! The war will still go on. Enter the cabin and let's talk to Paul. We tell him that the League's plans have failed but he has another another plan - the AKS, or the Ash Ketchum Simulation. Our adventures have been modeled after Ash's adventure, the real one isn't around, and now Paul has become the new Ash. Where, how, what, why??

>>LEAGUE BATTLE<<

=================

Rival Paul Prize: P7722

(Lv71 Gliscor, Lv72 Gengar, Lv74 Uranytar, Lv75 Quagsire, Lv76 Houndoom, Lv78 Starter)

Paul comes to his senses, realising that he's also been manipulated from the beginning. Someone has been trying to create the perfect Trainer, but who?? Prof. Bek shows up to congratulate us...and unmask. He's the real leader of Frejo and the organiser of all this! To create a new Ash who can defeat Kifflom. But why though...? So, so random. Then we follow Bek into the Hall of Fame room and the credits roll.

Defeating the Pokemon League was the first of 3 quests that make up this game. Now we tackle the second quest, so come prepared because the Trainers ahead are only to going to get Super Saiyan stronger.

++POST-GAME QUEST++

===================

Return to that building which is blocked by a Rocket who said only VIPs may enter. It's north of Cherry City, you reach it from Wizard Peak. This time the Rocket is gone and we can step inside the building known as the Subway.

SUBWAY

------

First Trainer we find here is a Bird Keeper. Another disciple of Epsilon.

Bird Keeper (Lv64 Fearow, Skarmory) Prize: P1600

North from him is a Beauty standing near a Trainer Trap, it just says we've found one of them. Okay...?

Beauty (Lv67 Raichu, Cloyster, Arcanine) Prize: P4690

Continue on up to a Junior girl.

Jr. Trainer[F] Prize: P1200

(Lv60 Ninetales, Vileplume, Starmie, Persian, Dewgong)

There's a notice on the right from him, saying Kifflom is searching for the missing Magic Hammer. Sounds like something a couple of jumping plumber brothers would use. That's a Biker next to the signpost.

Biker (Lv68 Weezing, Tauros, Machamp) Prize: P1360

Southeast from him is a Beauty and a corridor that leads to stairs that take us back to the Pacesea Villa, we'll be in the room which needs a Card Key to unlock it.

Beauty (Lv68 Clefable, Togetic) Prize: P4760

From the Junior go on up to meet the 1st of the 3 Rage Sisters. They're back, by Jove!

Jr. Trainer[F] Prize: P1260

(Lv63 Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Tropius)

In the corner above her are stairs going up, leave them for now and turn right to find the next Rage Sister.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv68 Leafeon, Glaceon) Prize: P1360

Last one is on the right.

Jr. Trainer[F] (Lv65 Seaking, Vaporeon, Politoed) Prize: P1300

Going up the corridor from the second Sister, there are 2 more Bird Keepers found and then another set of stairs going up.

Bird Keeper (Lv62 Pidgeot, Fearow, Dodrio x3) Prize: P1550

Bird Keeper (Lv65 Skarmory, Dodrio, Xatu, Honchkrow) Prize: P1625

Both this set of stairs and the ones above the first Rage Sister lead to the same area, the Dungeon of Defrite.

Surf: Poliwrath, Dewgong, Dragonair, Lapras

If you come out here from the first set of stairs, you'll appear on the eastern side. Pokemon pop up even while you're out of the grass. A Bird Keeper is here.

Bird Keeper (Lv67 Xatu, Moltres?!) Prize: P1675

He'll just tell us where Moltres is found, so one of us clearly has a Moltres Shadow Clone...and I'm guessing the one we found is the Clone. Go south and surf left in the pool we reach. Eventually you'll pass a building, this is where you'll come from if you use the stairs near the Bird Keeper in the Subway. Continue up to find a Rocket, or you can use that path on the left to avoid him.

Rocket (Lv75 Steelix) Prize: P3000

Past him is another Bird Keeper with a legendary, take a guess what he's got.

Bird Keeper (Lv70 Zapdos) Prize: P1750

Into the pool on the right, surf and up to the mini maze where there's a Biker.

Biker (Lv68 Muk x2, Weezing, Nidoking) Prize: P1360

To the right from him is a Rocket blocking the way.

Rocket (Lv75 Exeggutor) Prize: P3000

Head left for a couple of Bird Keepers and the way out of the maze:

Bird Keeper (Lv65 Pidgeot, Fearow, Dodrio, Honchkrow) Prize: P1625

Bird Keeper (Lv68 Farfetch'd, Articuno) Prize: P1700

To the left of him is a shortcut leading to the pool of water above. Exit the maze and take on the Biker by the bridge.

Biker (Lv76 Tangrowth, Aggron) Prize: P1520

Across the bridge is the actual Dungeon, guarded by 2 Bikers. In another generation we'd be getting into a good old fashioned Double Battle, but one on one (one after the other) will have to do.

Left Biker (Lv70 Nidoqueen, Rhydon) Prize: P1400

Right Biker (Lv69 Weezing, Ariados, Exploud) Prize: P1380

[Interior]

Into the Dungeon. Nice look, it has that bad guy feel to it. Go left to meet a Rocket.

Rocket (Lv74 Arbok, Kangaskhan) Prize: P2960

He tells us Kifflom's real name, Kaoforp. KAOFORP?? Wait a minute...that looks familiar. While I figure that out, continue on to find another Rocket. He stands near a staircase heading below to a side-scroller level where you pick up the Magic Hammer! Now you're a jumping plumber, congratulations :) just need to find some mushrooms.

Rocket (Lv75 Hypno, Heracross) Prize: P3000

To the right, on the central platform is the next Rocket.

Rocket (Lv72 Exeggutor, Sandslash, Piloswine, Golem) Prize: P2880

Another Rocket near the bottom right.

Rocket (Lv77 Marowak, Lickilicky) Prize: P3080

Defeating him brings down those barriers near him blocking that shortcut back to the entrance. He stands near stairs that lead to a side-scroller level. One more on the upper section.

Rocket (Lv76 Golbat, Mr. Mime, Hitmontop) Prize: P3040

Below from him is a Cottage. The stairs in the top right corner lead to the item near the top left corner, a Net Ball. Back to those stairs so we can explore the side-scroller level.

[Dungeon Side-Scroll Level]

Down the ladder and then down the one on the left. A Rocket stands above the next one you reach.

Rocket (Lv78 Beedrill, Ariados, Kabutops) Prize: P3120

Go back and then descend the ladder which was on the right to find another Rocket.

Rocket (Lv80 Houndoom, Alakazam) Prize: P3200

To the left from him is a Rare Candy. Return to that first Rocket and down the ladder on the left from him. We're now below where we found the Rare Candy. Down the next ladder and we exit this area.

[Dungeon Area B - Sewers]

.............

Weezing, Muk, Raticate, Poliwrath, Sandslash, Arbok, Blastoise

Water:

Tentacruel, Cloyster, Kingler, Dragonair, Dewgong, Lapras, Poliwrath, Seadra

Blue is back. That pole-like obstruction blocking the path going to the right is taken care of by the Magic Hammer. The path leads to a Dope Ball and a Scouter (?). Funny thing is if you open the Pack and try to use it, a message pops up saying the Scouter will be useful in the next version of this game. This isn't the final version? The Readme says it's for locating and identifying roaming legendary Pokemon. Back step and go south. Those stairs take us to a dock outside where we'll meet a Rocket who says he's a traitor and has opened one of the ships for us. Erm, thanks? Back down the steps and continue right into water. That's a Big Pearl in the corner. Then head north, picking up another Big Pearl on the way. We'll reach a Rocket near stairs going up.

Rocket (Lv82 Persian, Arbok, Weezing, Houndoom, Exploud) Prize: P3280

The stairs take us back to the port.

[Dungeon Area C - Port]

We've found the ships, which were stolen from Johto according to the Sailor we meet.

Sailor (Lv82 Machamp, Kingdra) Prize: P2460

Go north to find another Sailor on the right and a Rocket to the north. The ship we can board is on the left, you enter the cabin there and heal your team in the purified zone.

Sailor (Lv85 Quagsire) Prize: P2550

The stairs near him lead to a lower area inspired by Lt. Surge's Gym.

[Dungeon Area D - Under Port]

Pokemon Found

.............

Gengar, Rhydon, Hypno, Ditto, Clefable, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Machamp, Alakazam

There are 15 trash bins and two switches we have to find to unlock the doors. First switch is in the top right bin and the second one is in the bin directly below it. Up the stairs in the unlocked room, then down the next ones and we are outside.

[Dungeon Area E]

From him circle round from the right and end up by the pool of water on the left to meet the swimming Grunt.

Rocket (Lv85 Poliwrath, Feraligatr, Crobat) Prize: P3400

Up the hill from him to find the 3rd Rocket.

Rocket (Lv87 Primeape, Shiftry) Prize: P3480

South from him and surf west. In the bottom left corner is a ladder that leads to a small cave containing a Medical Kit and Pokemon.

[Dungeon Area E]

Pokemon Found

.............

Rapidash, Arcanine, Electabuzz, Magmar, Ninetales, Weezing, Raichu, Dragonite,  Charizard, Houndoom

Then surf north. You can trade a Porygon for a Chimecho in the house found. Big Pearl on the hill left from the house. Continue east to reach the next Rocket.

Rocket (Lv89 Magmortar) Prize: P3560

North from him is a Super Nerd who's planting bombs. What the...

Super Nerd (Lv83 Weezing, Magnezone, Electivire) P2075

Don't worry, he'll share the bombs. Pick one, Nitro Bomb on the right or Semtex Bomb on the left. Afterwards he'll tell us that Kifflom is unbeatable, if we have trouble defeating him we should throw that bomb. This Kifflom guy is starting to sound more machine than man, now we could need a bomb to defeat him?? Go to the right to descend the hill and then follow the path to the top left corner to find a Big Pearl. In the top right corner is a ladder exiting this section. Next place is simple to get through, make your way to the opening in the top left corner. There's a Med Kit near it. We'll be out of the cave and into another building.

[Dungeon Area F - Prison Compound]

Go all the way to the left, passing a locked room which needs a Card Key. We'll reach a man who thanks us for saving him and others. Above him is a warp tile which sends us to the rooftop where we'll be right next to stairs that are our way back to outside the Dungeon's main  building. Above that is a locked room. Got a Rocket on the right standing between 3 stairs that each lead to a cell.

Rocket (Lv92 Yanmega, Donphan, Blissey) Prize: P3680

In the cell on the left is another Rocket and TM40 (Razor Wind)

Rocket (Lv90 Gengar, Venomoth, Tangrowth, Rapidash) Prize: P3600

Middle cell has a Sailor.

Sailor (Lv93 Golduck, Kingler, Lapras) Prize: P2790

Right cell has another Sailor and a Mini Shroom (there's our mushroom!)

Sailor (Lv94 Tentacruel, Starmie) Prize: P2820

There are 3 more cells further right, but a Scientist iz in ze vey!

Scientist (Lv95 Venomoth, Snorlax) Prize: P4750

He drops an interesting bit of info, saying he created fusion Pokemon by stitching their parts together like that Driadjin. So who created it..?

Left cell has a Sailor.

Sailor (Lv93 Omastar, Dugtrio, Lanturn) Prize: P2790

Middle cell has a Fisherman and a Machoke. What's it in for?

Fisherman (Lv96 Magikarp, Gyarados, Kingdra) Prize: P3360

Right cell has a Sailor and a Big Pearl.

Sailor (Lv99 Dragonite) Prize: P2970

In the room southeast from the Scientist is a warp tile that leads to an area of locked rooms. Another warp tile is in the room south from him., this one sends us to an old man and 3 other warp tiles. He says pick a path. Right tile takes us back to the Weapon Depot in Silten City, middle tile leads back to the first Dungeon building. Left tile sends us to the next room, where we find 9 warp tiles! NINE! The one we want is the bottom left tile.

New section of the compound. Rockets and Scientists below.

Rocket (Lv97 Nidoking, Gliscor, Mamoswine) Prize: P3880

Scientist (Lv98 Espeon, Chimecho, Electivire) Prize: P4900

[Dungeon Area G]

Pokemon Found

.............

Surf: Starmie, Omastar, Dragonair, Dragonite, Kabutops

Old Rod: Magikarp

Good Rod: Poliwag, Goldeen

Super Rod: Dragonair, Seaking, Slowbro

Surf around the building and continue north to find Steelhan..?! Not the real one but a Replicant. And we break through the Level 100 barrier!

>>BOSS BATTLE<<

===============

Repli. Steelhan Prize: P9999

(Lv101 Armaldo, Lv102 Excadrill, Lv103 Aggron)

He malfunctions and drops a Master Ball. A couple of Rockets nearby, who think the Lodge sent us to eliminate them.

Rocket (Lv100 Steelix, Tyranitar, Salamence) Prize: P4000

Rocket (Lv100 Aerodactyl, Uranytar, Dragonite) Prize: P4000

Follow that path on the left to the man we've been hearing about throughout our adventure. He's ready, so are we. Prof. Oak a.k.a KAOFROP a.k.a KIFFLOM! Why Professor??

>>BIG BOSS BATTLE<<

===================

Remember, if things get too rough for you during this battle, use the Bomb or if you still have a Snag Ball with you, may it serve you well because this guy's team is not fooling around:

Prof. Oak Prize: P9999

(Lv105 Porygon-Z, Lv107 Ampharos, Lv109 Slowking, Lv111 Torkoal, Lv115 Trevenant, Lv120 Driadjin ?!)

Defeating him should be what we've been building to, but it sounds like he was just another piece on the board. Before he dies he says we've been fooled and now that Driadjin is gone the real enemies' plans will go forward. Damn it. On the bright side though, we'll pick up the Card Key. On the left and right are some useful items: Honey (doubles the Pokemonn encounter rate), Dog Bait (automatically attracts roaming Pokemon on the route you're on) and PokeWatch (nothing about it in the Readme). More items which will only be useful in the next version of the game. You can descend either set of stairs, they lead to the same area where there's a warp tile which leads us to a house found near the Pokemon League HQ building. But before we go there, let's return to the Prison Compound and make use of the Card Key.

End of the Post-Game Quest.

In the main area of the Compound, unlock the room on left to pick up a Shinizer on a table. Only one in the entire game, it sets or resets the encounter rate of Shiny Pokemon to 100%. Then go back to that room of locked rooms (warp tile is southeast from the Scientist). Unlock the doors on the left until you reach stairs going up to a side-scroller level. Climb to the very top and pop up outside on the mysterious Crystal Island.

[015] CRYSTAL ISLAND

====================

Pokemon Found

.............

Zapdos, Lugia, Raikou, Articuno, Moltres, Suicune, Mewtwo, Mew, Ho-Oh, Entei

We've heard about this place, the 7 Power Gems and the Hidden Palace. Where do we get them Power Gems from? Still can't explore the rest of the Kelgo region because the border and routes out of Haven City are still blocked. The only thing we can do on the island at the moment is buy TMs from the tombstones found on the left. ALL the TMs are sold here, so have at it :)

There are 2 ways to do this next bit:

1) Going through the Elite 4 again until you reach the ship where Matix is. Once there, use the Magic Hammer on that pole on the right and enter the door. Next room use the warp tile and we're back on the rooftop of the Prison Compound, now above the warp tile and stairs that lead back to the Dungeon main building.

or

2) At the Prison Compound use the warp tile that'll take us to the rooftop and next to the stairs that lead back outside the main building of the Dungeon, but instead of going down the stairs which take us outside, use the Walk through Walls code and walk out of that tiny secluded area.

Either way, then go for the warp tile on the right and up the steps in the next room, they lead to a side-scroll level. Reach the top and you are now by the Atlantic Ocean.

ATLANTIC OCEAN

--------------

Pokemon Found

.............

Surf: Tentacruel, Seadra, Lapras, Staryu, Gyarados, Seaking, Starmie

Surf east, you'll be able to move under the surface at a couple of points, and eventually you'll reach a massive gem blocking a ladder. There are 7 gem-shaped coloured holes in it. There's a message on that brick wall, in Braille of course haha:

BRING A THERMO SCOPE TO UNVEIL THE SECRET PASSAGES.

RED LAURAS, FOSSIL LAB.

ORANGE SNORKEL, LARGE HOUSE.

YELLOW SILTEN, DETOX HOUSE.

GREEN GONDWAN, RACKET HOUSE.

BLUE GADOW, RANGER HOUSE.

VIOLET CHERRY, MART BASEMENT.

MASTER GEM IN HIDDEN PALACE.

According to the Readme there is an Item Trading Sequence that we have to get through to move on to the next stage of the Hidden Quest known as the Gem Quest. The sequence starts and ends in Haven City. We began it by receiving those Pokemon Cards from the old man in the PokeCom Center, so let's continue.

[00X] ITEM TRADING SEQUENCE

===========================

Take the PokeCards to the boy on the 2nd floor of the Gondwan City Mart. He's looking for PokeCards but he sees the deck we have and says he's already got it...then adds that Kamina is a collector. He's in the National Tunnel. Best way to reach him is from Haven City's side of the tunnel. He sees the cards, claims them as his, and next thing you know we put him down with a wrestling move haha! We're a baseball player/Pokemon Trainer/secret Pro Wrestler :) after that we steal the GS Ball from him (?!) and Kamina says we're now friends. We are also now a member of the Clan Dai Gurren and we can keep the GS Ball, put it to good use. Dai Gurren is a little nod to the big manga/anime series Bleach, specifically to the name of character Hitsugaya's blade's Bankai form (it's basically a blade's super form) Dai Gurren Hyourinmaru.

Return the GS Ball to the Silten Forest Shrine. We'll hear the voice of the forest's guardian - Celebi. Not THAT Celebi, no, the guardian is just named Celebi and it turns out that the GS Ball is a fake (?!). The real one would grant us a legendary Pokemon but we brought a fake one so Celebi gives us a fake legendary Pokemon...DOLL. A PikaBlu Doll. Bring it to the little girl in the Megan Museum and receive the Brick Piece.

Fly back to the Battle Tower and get that Mist Stone from the Psychic. Paul sold it to him. Good old nephew Paul. Captain Akab will be glad to have the Mist Stone back. And he'll then reveal that he's got a PokeGod Factory operation on this ship (I guess the photo of Akab in the Factory should've been a major clue). He'll give us a Jetpack, which we can't even use. Only someone with military experience can, and that person is Joanna who is stranded in a house on Route 73. Now she can fly back to her guy Bob and as a reward she gives us a Gold Watch. If you return to Bob's house in Snorkel City, read the letter he has left behind. Him and Joanna have left Frejo. He gives a hint about the Thermo Scope - it will allow us to notice secret pathways in some indoor places.

Take the Gold Watch back to the Fishing Guru's youngest brother in Haven City and we get the Thermo Scope! Not only can we find secret pathways indoors but we can see invisible Pokemon too. Speaking of invisible...

Go back up to the peak of Mt. Lyre. Stand on the edge and watch as the invisible Pokemon appears - Level 70 Ho-oh! Sweet, let the Gem search begin!

[00Y] HIDDEN QUEST: GEM QUEST

=============================

Just asking for a friend - When will we explore the rest of Kelgo??

Return to Lauras City and enter the Fossil Lab, where we find a door which wasn't there before. Go through and speak to the Spirit of the Statue. We've freed it from a spell and as a reward it gives us the Red Gem!

Snorkel City next, enter the large house a.k.a Bob's house. The door to the secret room is to the far right. Orange Gem received.

Silten City, back to the PokeDetox Inc. House. Up the stairs for the Yellow Gem.

Gondwan City, into the house occupied by the Team Racket Grunts and old man (southeast area of town) and through the door to the north. Green Gem got.

Gadow City, in the Ranger's house and through the door. Blue Gem, check.

Cherry City, Mega Mart basement. That top right corner area is open now and the Blackbelt there has quite the collection of goods to sell:

Nugget P10000

Pearl P1500

Big Pearl P7500

Stardust P2000

Star Piece P9800

Mini Shroom P500

Mushroom P5000

Down the stairs near him to pick up the Violet Gem.

One more secret door has appeared on the 2nd floor of the Megan Museum. Leads to a tiny room with a statue. No Spirit at first until we check behind the statue and find a lever, pull it and a voice announces that the Hidden Palace is now open and the final Gem, the Master Gem, is waiting for us there. Return to Buris City. A secret passage has popped up in the Hotel, the door is in the top right corner. Bring the Grip Shoes with you. Follow the passage to stairs going up to the Hidden Palace.

[00Z] HIDDEN PALACE

===================

We'll appear in a dark corridor, don't bother with the Lighter, go on until you get to the end of it. There's a sign, an exit to the south which leads back to Buris City (southwest section), and stairs to the north. The sign says only the 6 Coloured Gems can break the Force Field. Up the stairs and we enter a much brighter area which looks like an upper floor of the Bell Tower. We'll call this Area 1.

[Hidden Palace Area 1]

Got 3 other sets of stairs, one in the bottom right corner, one to the left and one in the top left corner. Left and bottom right sets lead to deadends in the next area.

[Hidden Palace Area 2]

Make your way to the stairs in the south section. They take us to a deep blue room with 2 other sets of stairs, take ones on the left because the other ones will teleport you back outside.

[Hidden Palace Area 3: Quiz Floor]

Back to quizes. We'll be asked 3 questions by the quiz machines, answer them correctly and we get teleported to the next area. The machine is just past the sign.

Correct Answer: Yes

Question 2: Your football team is called the Paceleaf Superstars?

Question 4: In which direction Nidoran migrates?

Correct Answer: Trick question, either answer leads to the machine moving us on the true next area.

[Hidden Palace Area 4: Maze Floor]

The aim here is to reach the northern side of the room. If you make a wrong step you're teleported back down. It's a basic game of trial, error and lots of saving and loading haha. I wouldn't blame you if after some time you just make use of that Walk through Walls code. Went through filler-level quizes and now you got a maze to bother with. Reach the tiles on the far right and make your way up to the goal.

[Hidden Palace Area 5]

The sign says the Final Trap is ahead. It activates when we are by the door halfway along this corridor, if you didn't have the Grip Shoes you would be teleported back outside. Thanks to the foorwear we have a brief chat with the trap, which is a Giant Foot. Right. Carry on to the next room.

[Top of the Hidden Palace]

The man inside is the last of the Gem Sages (?) who came from Mars a century ago. This guy is Starman (a reference to that Super Nintendo game Earthbound) and he gives us the Master Gem, and now Crystal Island is open to us. It's actually a saucer, he says, and on the Town Map it is indicated as a whirlpool in the Atlantic Ocean. We find out that Kifflom used to be one of their earthly adepts but he turned bad and must be stopped (done :) ) before he can harm Pokemon. Then Starman returns to his star ship.

Carry the Card Key with you and return to that massive Gem and place the Power Gems into it. It'll move aside and we can descend the ladder. Welcome to the Grape Lodge.

[00ZA] GRAPE LODGE

==================

[Entrance Area]

And waiting to greet us when we arrive are a pair of Rockets, look who's back.

Left Rocket (Lv80 Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Sylveon) Prize: P3200

Right Rocket (Lv80 Glaceon, Leafeon) Prize: P3200

Apparently this is an alien spacecraft that's on Crystal Island. Sure, at this point why not? Proceed down to one of the 8 Rocket Brothers on the left and a Tamer on the right.

Rocket (Lv80 Umbreon, Espeon) Prize: P3200

Tamer (Lv80 Aggron, Uranytar, Gengar, Lickilicky) Prize: P3200

Below them are steps going under.

[Area 2]

Another blast from the past, Paul is here. He was also searching for them Power Gems and by unlocking this place we've done Frejo a favour. He thinks they sent us here to find Driadjin. Really, guy?

>>RIVAL BATTLE<<

================

Rival Paul Prize: P6175

(Lv85 Gliscor, Lv87 Mewtwo?!, Lv89 Quagsire, Lv92 Houndoom, Lv95 Starter)

Now he says we're missing kids who've been given false memories and were sent by the Grape Lodge to retrieve Driadjin for them. Huh? Then he says goodbye and leaves. Below is a warp tile.

[Area 3]

We find the Pokemon Ranger, a woman whose sprite I've either forgotten or is just a regular NPC, and Captain Akab. Congratulations, the Secret Quest has been completed! Now we're a member of the Grape Lodge. Past them is 80C (?!) who says he got here some time ago and caught Driadjin, which he gives to us. The true Driadjin, which Kifflom and company were trying to use to bring Pokemon to the cove we've heard about, here. Afterwards get through the locked doors and climb the stairs we find. We'll be back in the Hall of Fame room with Prof. Bek like we've just defeated Paul and the Elite 4 again. Same sequence follows and we'll return to Rustel City.

One new thing though is the appearance of Lugia in the sunken ship under the sea on Route 72. Level 70.

And with that we have reached the end of this version. Only one other city in Kelgo unlocked, which is a little disappointing if you're someone like me whose save file is just itching to explore all of Kelgo now. Hopefully v1.6 will have much more to offer.

[XXX] FINAL NOTES & OTHER RAMBLINGS

===================================

My feedback for the game hasn't really changed since v1.4, except that now those "For future use" items are functioning. Still an amazing game worth playing and hanging onto until it is finally complete.

How about you? How was Pokemon Grape for you? Please reach out and send any feedback, comments, thoughts etc about the game to 80C. I've no idea if he's active and working on the next installment or a sequel or anything but he did a fair job with this one, together with everyone who worked alongside him or helped in other ways. If you have any feedback, comments, questions concerning this walkthrough or if you want to make a request for a walkthrough, you can send that to me via email at allenchngnzh22@gmail.com or if you are part of the PokeCommunity forums site, I'm there as Allen Ceedos.

I've done walkthroughs for the following games so far:

Pokemon Azure Horizons [Hacksrepairman Version April 2020]

Pokemon Liquid Crystal Beta 3.3.00512 (September 2016 update)

Pokemon Glazed Beta 6.8.3 (TrainerX493 edition)

Pokemon Adventure Red Chapter (Beta 14.5 & 15)

Pokemon Flora Sky (Complete Dex Version)

Pokemon Mega Power (v5.59)

Pokemon Resolute v2.78

Pokemon Light Platinum (covering the Lauren region)

If you find any of my walkthroughs to be useful, all I ask is that you consider supporting me so that I can continue to provide more. Any support I get helps to cover costs such as internet access because that continues to get more and more expensive here, which is why I am not online as often as I would like to be so any responses get delayed.

As a bonus, here are links to other "projects" that I do outside of walkthroughs:

HOUSE OF SOUNDS: This is the first of 2 music set series that I started putting out in June 2019. In this series I play house tunes from my collection which I've had since my high school days. Mainly South African house music but there's room for international jams too. Old and new. If you're a fellow fan who loves to move and groove or just bop your head in time with the beats, I hope you'll check out this series :)

COUNTING ELECTRIC SHEEP: The second music set series, started just after House of Sounds. This one features anime and video game music. Opening themes, ending themes, songs from official soundtracks etc. It would certainly fit right in as something a resident from Animango City would be listening to :) if you like anime and manga as much as I do then this might be the series for you.

I upload both series to Bit Chute, DTube and the Internet Archive currently. As time goes on I aim to upload to other places too e.g SoundCloud:

POKEMON - THE JOURNEY OF JANICE: This was an idea I had in early 2019 which I had hoped to turn into a story for a ROMhack someday. I shared the idea around to see if anyone would be interested in teaming up with me to create the game. Months went by, there were people who liked the idea but I didn't hear from anyone who actually wanted to work with me. So I decided to spin out a story from the idea and post it chapter by chapter in the FanFiction section at the PokeCommunity site. That version of the story is a rework of the original form, which looks one of my walkthroughs haha. I'll put a link to that original below if you're interested in seeing it but I'll encourage you to follow the reworked version because I'll be changing stuff there.

Check out Knuckle San's website https://www.gbahacks.com if you're looking for ROMhacks and fan-made games. Also a great place to ask for help if you're stuck in a game or are looking for recommendations.

Thank you for making use of this walkthrough, we'll meet again in the next one. Take care of yourselves out there, bye for now.
