About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Ultra Quartz – Let’s Go! Blobbos is a heavily enhanced and modernized version of the original 2006 ROM hack Pokémon Quartz, originally created by BARO BOAR. This updated version was further developed for the Le Ruse Bird Twitch stream, introducing major improvements in balance, visuals, and overall gameplay structure.

Unlike traditional Pokémon hacks, this project is built around the iconic 386 original Fakemon from Pokémon Quartz, each of which has been rebuilt with unique stats, movesets, and balancing changes. The hack also modernizes the experience by enabling a fully accessible National Dex from the very beginning, allowing players to experiment freely with team building.

Visually, the game upgrades its presentation by replacing the original Ruby overworld with Pokémon Emerald-style tiles, making the world feel more polished while preserving its classic identity. It also restores and enhances classic features like the Game Corner and Battle Tower, giving long-term gameplay depth.

Overall, it serves as a definitive revival and expansion of Pokémon Quartz, blending nostalgia with modern ROM hack design philosophy.
