About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Shiny Jewel is a story-driven Pokémon FireRed ROM hack developed by SuperChespinX, serving as their second major project after the cancellation of Pokémon Light Rising. The hack introduces a completely new region known as Dezos, enhanced visuals, modern mechanics, and Pokémon spanning multiple generations.

The game focuses heavily on mythology and lore, centering around the Legendary Pokémon Diancie and its ancient connection to the region. Compared to the developer’s previous work, Shiny Jewel aims to deliver improved mapping, better tiles, expanded features, and a more refined overall experience.

Story Overview

Over 100,000 years ago, the Legendary Pokémon Diancie descended upon the Dezos region, creating precious jewels and diamonds that shaped its history. At some point, Diancie was captured by the criminal organization Team Gunk, imprisoned within a hardened cage, and subsequently vanished from the world.

In the present day, Professor Oak discovers a mysterious rare diamond fragment within his laboratory. His research reveals that the jewel is a piece of Diancie itself, suggesting that the Legendary Pokémon may still exist — and may be in grave danger.

As a new trainer journeying through Dezos, you become entangled in the mystery of Diancie, Team Gunk’s growing influence, and the emergence of another hostile faction that opposes them. Your adventure unfolds through new cities, gyms, rivals, and escalating conflicts tied directly to Dezos’ ancient past.
