Legendary Pokémon Locations Guide
1. Shaymin — Land Form
Type: Grass | Level: 30
Beat the 4th Gym Leader, then visit Charpos Island and investigate the Magma's Hideout. Return to the Platepics Research Center and talk to Mr. Stone. Head to the Polar Forest (Forest Entrance near Route A) — Celebi will teleport you into the Torn World where you can encounter Shaymin.
2. Shaymin — Sky Form
Type: Grass/Flying
Beat the Elite Four → Visit Mrs. Flash's house in Mystic Town → Go to the Flower Garden → Find the Green Shard → Exchange it for the Glacidea at the house on the Route I hill → Evolve Shaymin (Land Form).
3. Latias / Latios
Type: Dragon/Psychic | Level: 40
Beat the Elite Four → When your "Mom" asks you, choose Red for Latias or Blue for Latios. They will roam the entire World Map.
4. Celebi
Type: Grass/Psychic | Level: 30
After beating the Elite Four (1st time), examine Celebi's statue in the Bee-Bug Forest — Celebi will appear. Then examine another statue in the Polar Forest and Celebi will join your party. (Requires an empty party slot.)
5. Giratina
Type: Dragon/Ghost | Level: 55
Beat the Elite Four → Return to the Polar Forest → Deep Forest → Torn World.
6. Remaining Eon Pokémon (Latias/Latios)
Type: Dragon/Psychic | Level: 50
Before going, collect these three shards:
- Yellow Shard — the house where you met 2nd Gym Leader Caitlin in Platepics City
- Red Shard — Hippowdon Temple, Route J
- Blue Shard — Malias Library, talk to the scientist on the 2nd floor
Then beat the Elite Four → Visit Gloomist Forest (Challenge Islands) → Explore Mt. Fullmoon and encounter Latias/Latios at the peak.
7. Darkrai
Type: Dark | Level: 50
Complete quests/missions to earn 50 QPs → Exchange for the Rare Ticket at the Challenge Factory → Talk to Mr. April at the Ch. Harbor → Visit Outcast Island.
8. Lugia
Type: Psychic/Flying | Level: 70
Complete quests/missions to earn 50 QPs → Exchange for the Mystic Ticket (2nd ticket) at the Challenge Factory → Talk to Mr. April at the Ch. Harbor → Visit Navel Rock. (If you can't select the island, you need to collect all 4 tickets first.)
9. Deoxys
Type: Psychic | Level: 30
Complete quests/missions to earn 50 QPs → Exchange for the Aurora Ticket (3rd ticket) at the Challenge Factory → Talk to Mr. April at the Ch. Harbor → Visit Birth Island. (If you can't select the island, you need to collect all 4 tickets first.)
10. Rayquaza
Type: Dragon/Flying | Level: 70
Complete both missions → Examine the middle book in the secret room at Malias Library → Explore the Magma's Hideout (Mt. Fiery) → Return to the Festa Zone and go to Aqua Town → Beat Archie → Awaken Rayquaza at the top of Sky Pillar → Finish the Groudon/Kyogre event → Return to Sky Pillar to encounter Rayquaza.
11. Palkia
Type: Dragon/Water | Level: 70
Finish the Rayquaza event and beat the Elite Four again (unlocks HM Rock Climb) → Return to Mt. Fullmoon and find Palkia there.
12. Dialga
Type: Dragon/Steel | Level: 70
Finish the Rayquaza event and beat the Elite Four again (unlocks HM Rock Climb) → Return to Mt. Fullmoon and find Dialga there.
13. Kyogre
Type: Water | Level: 70
Finish the Rayquaza event and beat the Elite Four again → Go to Route R and Dive into the Underwater.
14. Groudon
Type: Ground | Level: 70
Finish the Rayquaza event and beat the Elite Four again → Go to A Path (Challenge Islands) and enter the Terra Cave.
15. Regigigas
Type: Normal | Level: 70
Complete quests/missions to earn 50 QPs → Exchange for the Old Sea Map (the last ticket) at the Challenge Factory → Talk to Mr. April at the Ch. Harbor → Visit Abandoned Island.
16. Reshiram
Type: Dragon/Fire | Level: 70
Requires Rock Climb → Go to Ancient Ruins (north of Golden City) → Unlock the middle-left cave (from the Braille Wall: go down 2, left 2, then use Rock Smash) → Reshiram will appear in the Route K Cave.
17. Zekrom
Type: Dragon/Electric | Level: 70
Requires Rock Climb → Go to Ancient Ruins (north of Golden City) → Unlock the bottom-right cave (from the Braille Wall, go around the cave's edges clockwise) → Zekrom will appear in the Altering Cave.
18. Kyurem
Type: Dragon/Ice | Level: 70
Requires Rock Climb → Go to Ancient Ruins (north of Golden City) → Unlock the middle-right cave (use Flash in the middle of the cave) → Kyurem will appear in the Route U Cave.
19. Genesect
Type: Bug/Steel | Level: 70
Catch all three Dragons (Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem) → Return to Ancient Ruins (north of Golden City) → Unlock the top cave: use Dig to enter the basement, then put Wailord first and Alomomola last in your party, and upgrade the Unown App for S-Machine → Exit the cave — a secret entrance (top-left) will open where you can catch Genesect.
20. Meloetta
Type: Normal/Psychic | Level: 70
Obtain the Unown App for S-Machine → Talk to the man in the Ancient Ruins and get the Unown Letter → Deliver it to the man at the Battle Frontier (requires Waterfall) → Teleport to Cryptic City and challenge Mr. Victor → Win the battle to encounter Meloetta.
Note: Meloetta evolves into Meloetta-F when its happiness is maxed out.
21. Mew
Type: Psychic | Level: 30
Obtain the Unown App for S-Machine → Go to Artisan Hill (Route Y) → Mew lives at the peak of the hill.
22. Jirachi
Type: Psychic/Steel | Level: 50
Requires Rock Climb → Visit A Area and talk to the girl you rescued in Mission 1 to receive the Wish Stone → Examine the big tree in Hotasita City with the stone and Jirachi will appear.
23. Arceus
Type: Dragon/Normal | Level: 80
Prerequisites: Obtain the Space Orb and the Unown App, then catch all six of these Pokémon: Palkia, Giratina, Dialga, Kyogre, Groudon, and Mew.
Go to the Cave of Origin (A Area) and examine the wall in this exact order:
- Dialga / Giratina
- Groudon / Kyogre
- Mew
- Mew
- Dialga / Giratina
- Groudon / Kyogre
Arceus will then appear at the Hall of Origin.
