About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Adventure – Gold Chapter is a story-driven GBA ROM hack based on the Pokémon Adventures manga, focusing on Gold, the energetic and carefree protagonist of the Johto arc.
The hack closely follows the manga’s storyline, recreating key events while also adding original chapters to expand gameplay and pacing. Players experience Gold’s journey exactly as depicted in the manga, including his Pokémon team, personality, and motivations.
Due to its age and limited release, the hack is considered unfinished, with only Beta 1 publicly available and no downloadable patch released.
Story Overview
One day, a Totodile is stolen from Professor Elm’s research lab by an unknown trainer. While attempting to stop the thief, Gold suddenly finds himself mysteriously banished, leaving behind unanswered questions and an unresolved crime.

This sets Gold on a journey across Johto-inspired locations, encountering familiar manga characters and events while uncovering clues surrounding the disappearance.
