Pokémon Adventure – Blue Chapter is a story-driven GBA ROM hack based on the Pokémon Adventures manga. Unlike traditional Pokémon games, this hack closely follows the manga’s canon storyline, characters, and tone, while expanding certain events to create a longer and more immersive experience.
The game is part of a larger Pokémon Adventure series, with each entry focusing on different characters and story arcs from the manga. Because of its manga-faithful approach, players do not choose their starter Pokémon, and not all Pokémon are obtainable immediately.
This hack is currently unfinished and available in beta form.
Story Overview
After years of training, Blue returns from the Johto region to Pallet Town, determined to follow his grandfather’s footsteps and become the Champion of Kanto. At the same time, another boy from Pallet Town pursues the same dream, quickly turning the two into rivals.
As Blue faces rival battles and personal challenges, Team Rocket resurfaces with sinister plans that threaten the people Blue cares about. Forced to put rivalry aside, Blue must confront criminal schemes, uncover hidden truths, and grow stronger as both a Trainer and a person.
The story follows the Pokémon Adventures manga very closely, with additional scenes and optional events added to enhance pacing, character development, and gameplay length.
