About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Adamantite is a remake-style hack of the Sinnoh-based Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games. Set 2–3 years after the events of Pokémon Platinum, it introduces a new, darker storyline, new characters, and expanded post-game content.
The hack is unfinished, and many features, such as maps, Pokémon, and story events, remain incomplete. The project was never publicly released (Beta available), but its concept focuses on a more mature and complex Pokémon experience.
Story Overview
The adventure begins with a dream depicting a clash between shadowy legendaries—Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina—while Darkrai, Cresselia, and others watch. Suddenly, a white void appears with two glowing gold eyes, shaking the screen. You awaken abruptly, disoriented.
At age 13, three years after defeating Cyrus and Team Galactic and becoming Sinnoh Champion, your memories of these events are lost. Following your dream, you experience a "Memorial Scream," indicated by a white flash on screen, and wander into Lake Verity. Here, a wild Shroomish attacks you—an unusual Pokémon in Sinnoh.
A mysterious figure tosses you a briefcase containing the three Sinnoh starter Pokémon. After choosing one, you battle and defeat the Shroomish, only to discover your savior is Professor Rowan. Rowan explains that someone or something has altered the memories of people sensitive to the universe, like you. Impressed by your abilities, he recruits you into his research team.
Soon after, Dawn and Barry (who has relocated to Sandgem Town) arrive. Barry challenges you with the starter Pokémon of the type you did not choose. After defeating him, Rowan provides you with a Pokédex and five Poké Balls. Before leaving, Barry remarks that you seem familiar, hinting at deeper connections.
Later, Zepher—the leader of a new team called the God Brigade—appears and ominously comments that “God will fall,” hinting at a larger postgame conflict. From here, your journey unfolds across Sinnoh with new plots, challenges, and legendary Pokémon encounters.
The story is intended to be “older-fan” oriented, darker, and more complex than standard Pokémon games.
The story is unfinished, with much of the plot, character interactions, and post-game content remaining conceptual.
