About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Adamantite is a remake-style hack of the Sinnoh-based Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games. Set 2–3 years after the events of Pokémon Platinum, it introduces a new, darker storyline, new characters, and expanded post-game content.

The hack is unfinished, and many features such as maps, Pokémon, and story events remain incomplete. The project was never publicly released, but its concept focuses on a more mature and complex Pokémon experience.

Story Overview

Prologue

The story begins with a dream of a clash between shadowy legendaries—Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina—while other legendaries watch. Suddenly, a white void with glowing gold eyes appears, causing the protagonist to experience a Memorial Scream, a psychic hallucination that shakes the screen.

You awaken confused and encounter a wild Shroomish at Lake Verity, which is unusual for Sinnoh. A mysterious figure provides the player with one of the three Sinnoh starter Pokémon, and the player defeats the Shroomish.

Main Story
  • Recruited by Professor Rowan due to sensitivity to the Universe and ability to experience Memorial Screams.
  • Dawn and Barry appear as early companions; Barry challenges the player in a starter-type battle.
  • Equips the player with a Pokédex and five Pokéballs, and sets the stage for a confrontation with a mysterious antagonist, Zepher, leader of the God Brigade.
  • Explores themes of memory loss, dark conspiracies, and legendary Pokémon conflicts.

The story is unfinished, with much of the plot, character interactions, and post-game content remaining conceptual.
