About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Tri-Color Nostalgia Series is a Gen I ROM hack built using the pokered disassembly project by Skeetendo contributors, designed to modernize and refine the original Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue experience while preserving its nostalgic core.

The project functions as a comprehensive enhancement of Generation I, aiming to unify the early Pokémon versions into a more polished and expanded experience. Instead of drastically changing the original identity, the hack focuses on improving mechanics, fixing long-standing bugs, restoring content, and adding quality-of-life updates that make Gen I more playable by modern standards.

A key design philosophy is to keep the classic Gen I atmosphere intact while correcting its inconsistencies and limitations, effectively acting as a “definitive edition” of early Pokémon games.
