About This ROM Hack

Pokémon HarvestCraft is a unique Pokémon Ruby ROM hack that blends traditional Pokémon gameplay with life-simulation mechanics inspired by Harvest Moon and Minecraft. Instead of focusing on gyms and the Pokémon League, the game emphasizes farming, crafting, relationships, seasons, and survival.

The hack introduces an entirely different pace and structure to Pokémon gameplay, making it stand out as a simulation-focused experience rather than a competitive one.

The hack introduces an energy system, weather effects, seasonal changes, and social mechanics, creating a slower-paced but immersive gameplay experience unlike standard Pokémon titles.

Story Overview

Twenty-one years ago, Pokémon lived peacefully in the forest under the rule of Trevenant. When humans arrived and began cutting down trees to build homes, Pokémon lost their habitat. Trevenant sought help from the Harvest Goddess, who tried to punish the people — but instead fell in love with a man named Eric.

The Harvest Goddess forgave the humans and later married Eric, unknowingly losing her powers in the process. Those powers were destined to pass to Trevenant upon the birth of the Harvest Baby.

When Trevenant learned this, he plotted to trap the townspeople and kill the child. Although Eric managed to escape with the baby, the Harvest Goddess and the townspeople were trapped inside the cursed town.

You play as a 21-year-old newcomer, beginning your journey when Trevenant traps you inside the town as well. Now, you must survive, uncover the truth, and stop Trevenant to free everyone from his curse.
