About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Black Orb Version is a story-driven Pokémon FireRed ROM hack that focuses heavily on player choice, consequences, and narrative depth rather than traditional Gym-based progression.
The hack removes standard Gym battles and replaces them with quests, tasks, and reputation-based progression, creating a more RPG-like Pokémon experience. Development is handled entirely as a solo project by the author.
Story Overview
From a young age, you have shown an exceptional interest in Pokémon. Your father, a world-renowned scientist, recently discovered a mysterious and powerful Black Orb, believed to be nothing more than a myth.
However, his research proves otherwise.
News of the orb spreads quickly, attracting the attention of Team Zen, a group determined to steal it for their own purposes. Unknowingly, your father’s research is helping them get closer to their goal.
According to his findings, the orb is not merely an artifact—it is a key meant to activate something unknown.
In Pokémon Black Orb, your choices matter.
Actions carry consequences, and your decisions will shape the world around you.
Will you stop Team Zen, or will the orb’s power fall into the wrong hands?
