Pokémon Ash Kanto is a ROM hack based on Pokémon FireRed where players take the role of Ash Ketchum, reliving his adventure through the Kanto region as portrayed in the anime series. The game adds significant modifications to the original storyline, allowing the player to collect Pokémon that Ash catches in the anime. It incorporates several unique changes in gameplay, such as receiving all three Kanto starters and experiencing the Kanto journey with new mechanics.
Story Overview
The game is a direct adaptation of the Kanto region, following Ash Ketchum's adventure. Players begin the game with Pikachu, and unlike the traditional games, they can obtain all three Kanto starters at the beginning of the journey. Throughout the game, players will face Gym Leaders, battle Team Rocket, and encounter familiar events from the anime, with added twists based on Ash’s anime experience.
