About This ROM Hack
Touhoumon Another World: Revised is a complete modernization of Aichiya Sanae's original Touhoumon Another World hack. Built on Pokémon FireRed, the project aims to preserve the original adventure while eliminating many of the balance issues and outdated mechanics that gave older 1.5-era Touhoumon hacks a difficult reputation.
Like other Touhoumon games, Pokémon are replaced with Boneka, sentient puppet versions of characters from the Touhou Project series. Rather than being a simple graphical replacement, the hack extensively reworks gameplay with new types, moves, abilities, battle mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements while retaining the original spirit of Another World.
The Revised edition introduces a significantly updated roster that includes Touhou characters up to Touhou 20, modern gameplay conveniences, polished graphics and audio, improved maps, and numerous balance adjustments. The overall goal is to provide a smoother and more enjoyable Touhoumon experience without sacrificing the unique identity of the original hack.

Known Bugs & Issues
Do not use VBA or VBA-M. They can cause emulator-specific bugs. Use mGBA (v0.8.1 recommended), My Boy!, or another accurate GBA emulator instead.
Known Issues:
- Evolution Stone Freeze: Evolving a Boneka with an Evolution Stone after another Boneka has already evolved may freeze the game or briefly hide the evolution sprite.
- Day/Night Colors: Entering certain areas during time transitions may temporarily reset colors to daytime until entering a building.
- Intimidate/Fascinate: In Switch mode, these abilities may affect the fainted Boneka instead of the one switching in.
- Light Clay & Scarlet Rock: These items only work correctly when held by the player's Boneka.
- Link System: Can malfunction in the Boneka League (AW) and Battle Dome (WL).
- Choice Item + Pivot Moves: Switching in via Flip Turn, U-turn, or Volt Switch can incorrectly lock a Choice item holder into that move.
- PSS Icon Glitch: Viewing the EV/IV screen before the moves page may glitch PSS icons until the summary is refreshed.
