About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Dark Worship 2 is a story-driven Pokémon GBA ROM hack and the direct sequel to Pokémon Dark Worship. Built on the Pokémon FireRed engine, the game shifts the setting to the Sinnoh region while continuing the darker narrative tone established in its predecessor.

The hack blends original storytelling with familiar Sinnoh lore, combining characters, locations, and themes from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum with the original Dark Worship universe. Featuring Pokémon from Generations 1 through 9, modern mechanics, difficulty options, and a heavy focus on narrative, Pokémon Dark Worship 2 aims to deliver a cinematic and challenging RPG experience for players who enjoy lore-rich Pokémon hacks.

Story Overview

Set after the events of the Sinnoh saga, Pokémon Dark Worship 2 explores the consequences of Cyrus’s disappearance into the Distortion World. Though Team Galactic fell apart publicly, its ideology survived. Loyalists and former officers continued to operate in secrecy, searching for forbidden knowledge tied to Sinnoh’s legendary Pokémon.

During this uneasy calm, a new threat rises. Team Dark Worship, led by Joshua—the son of Izac—emerges as a cult-like organization obsessed with power, rituals, and legendary influence. In a shocking turn of events, remnants of Team Galactic form an alliance with Team Dark Worship, uniting their ambitions and knowledge.

Their combined plans involve Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and even Zygarde—placing time, space, and balance itself at risk. As strange distortions, missing researchers, and unnatural phenomena spread across Sinnoh, the player is drawn into a web of mystery, moral conflict, and escalating danger. The truth unfolds gradually through dialogue, exploration, and mission-based progression, leading to a dark and unpredictable journey.
