About This ROM Hack

Celia’s Stupid Romhack is a puzzle-focused Pokémon adventure that prioritizes exploration, secrets, and clever problem-solving rather than traditional Pokémon battling challenges.

The hack reimagines the Pokémon journey as a massive region-wide puzzle experience filled with unusual scenarios, comedic dialogue, and hidden secrets. Players explore towns and routes while solving puzzles that test their creativity and knowledge of Pokémon mechanics.

Unlike many ROM hacks that emphasize difficulty or competitive battles, this project is built as a collaborative puzzle adventure. The developer even encourages players to experience the game with friends—sharing discoveries and clues together while exploring the game’s many secrets.

Built from scratch using the FireRed decompilation tools, the game features rewritten dialogue, puzzle-driven progression, and a strong emphasis on completing the Pokédex as part of the overall challenge.
