Pokémon Classic is a Pokémon Emerald ROM hack that faithfully recreates Pokémon Yellow while enhancing it with modern gameplay mechanics, quality-of-life improvements, expanded content, and numerous bug fixes. Built as a love letter to the Kanto region, the hack preserves the charm and nostalgia of the original Game Boy classic while taking advantage of the features available through the Emerald engine.
Rather than completely reinventing the Kanto adventure, Pokémon Classic aims to be a polished Vanilla+ experience. Players journey through the familiar region alongside their Partner Pikachu, encountering the original 151 Pokémon while enjoying modern conveniences such as the Fairy type, Mega Evolution, following Pokémon, DexNav, reusable TMs, revised trade evolutions, visible IVs, EVs and DVs, improved HM functionality, and many other gameplay refinements.
