About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Get 'Em All is a FireRed ROM hack designed around one primary objective: making every Generation I, II, and III Pokémon obtainable in a single playthrough. Rather than dramatically changing the original storyline, the hack focuses on expanding Pokémon availability while adding several modern gameplay improvements and a selection of later-generation Legendary Pokémon.
In addition to the complete roster of 386 Pokémon, the game introduces several legendary Pokémon from later generations that are closely connected to existing legendary groups. New locations, updated graphics, Fairy-type implementation, optional level caps, trainer changes, and various move adjustments further modernize the classic FireRed experience without drastically changing its overall structure.
The project aims to provide a straightforward and accessible way to complete a large Pokédex while keeping the familiar FireRed adventure largely intact.
Key Features
- Complete Generation I–III Pokédex: Every one of the original 386 Pokémon from Generations I through III can be obtained during normal gameplay.
- Expanded Legendary Pokémon: In addition to the original legendary roster, several later-generation Legendary Pokémon have been added, including Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, an alternate "OG Arceus," Regigigas, Regieleki, and Regidrago.
- Fairy Type Added: Fairy-type has been implemented into the game. Because the Physical/Special Split has not been added, Fairy-type attacks always function as Special moves.
- No Trade Evolution Requirements: Pokémon that normally require trading can instead be obtained through special encounter battles or in-game NPC trades.
- Lore-Friendly Area Improvements: Certain locations have been redesigned to better reflect Pokémon lore, including an expanded Cinnabar Island volcano area.
- Enhanced Graphics: Various graphical improvements have been added throughout the game to refresh the FireRed presentation.
- Optional Level Caps: Players can enable optional level caps by interacting with the tablet located inside the starting room.
- Faster HP Bars: HP bars have been sped up to make battles feel faster and smoother.
- Additional Trainers: New trainer battles have been added throughout the adventure.
- New Items: Additional items have been placed around the game to expand gameplay options.
- Move Rebalancing: Numerous moves have been updated using newer-generation base power values or adjusted individually to better fit the game's balance.
