About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Shadows of Time is a story-driven hack built on HG-Engine, set in an entirely new region called Himitsu — new maps, original Fakémon, and a narrative that leans into mystery and atmosphere.
The central hook is Sinfae, a fourth Lake Guardian representing fear and paranoia, and a Shadow Cult that's been corrupting certain Pokémon into Shadow Forms. It adds a layer of tension to encounters that goes beyond standard battles — Shadow Pokémon behave differently and require a different approach to handle.
The world itself is built around exploration and secrets. Hidden mysteries are woven into the region, and future updates are planned to expand Himitsu with past-era maps, secret events, and ARG-style community discoveries — the kind of content designed to be found collectively rather than stumbled upon solo.

Story Overview
Years ago, a catastrophic event shook the Himitsu region. The Lake Guardian Sinfae emerges, embodying fear and paranoia, while a secretive Shadow Cult begins manipulating Pokémon into powerful Shadow Forms.
Players take on the role of a trainer investigating these events, confronting the cult, and exploring mysteries scattered throughout the region, including legendary and Fakemon encounters.
