Trainer Tips
Tip #1 — You can wonder trade in any Pokémon Center in exchange for 5BP.
Tip #2 — You can get your mystery gift by saving the game, reseting and using the option Mystery Gift in the save load menu.
Tip #3 — You can get starters by trading red, green and blue shards in Lavaridge, Fallarbor and Lilycove.
Tip #4 — You can change any Greninja ability with an ability capsule to get a Battle Bond Greninja.
Tip #5 — You can see any Pokémon Evolution requirements in the summary screen in the last page by scrolling the info pressing A.
Tip #6 — If the dexnav chain is not working for you it's because you have to Register the Pokemon in the dexnav before starting the chain by pressing R in the dexnav menu.
Tip #7 — You can get all the evolution items in Oldale or in Eight island at 20 Battle Points each.
Tip #8 — You can get nature mints in Oldale Battle Mart for 10BP a piece.
Tip #9 — In hard mode the Gym leader will match the number of Pokémon in your team early on, if you are having problems you can leave some of them in the Pokemon Storage System.
Tip #10 — You can farm BP by rebattling Gym Trainers, you can fight them an infinite number of times by talking with the leader after defeating it in a rematch.
Tip #11 — You can get the Mega Bracelet by defeating 11 gym leaders.
Tip #12 — You can get more Sevii Island Tickets by finding Colress at the end of each island route or dungeon, you also always start with one random ticket.
Tip #13 — In Normal or Hard difficulty mode, the level of the Gym Leader's strongest pokemon will determine your own Level Cap. On Normal mode, you will gain XP & levels but your stats will remain locked in at the level cap until you clear the Gym. On Hard mode, you will not gain any XP until you clear the Gym.
Tip #14 — Don't forget to invest some of your Trainer Skill points into Stat Boosts! For each point you invest, all pokemon you own gain an equal amount of IVs in that Stat.
Tip #15 — All Pokemon start with 0 IVs until you begin putting in Skill points for Stat Boosts. If you notice your Pokemon isn't performing the way you like, try adding to your Stat Boosts.
Tip #16 — BP is used for some of the best & most important items in the game, so take advantage early by investing in Bonus Battle skills. This increases the chance you get double BP from any battle.
Tip #17 — Trainer XP Boost will make collecting other skills much easier, while Pokemon XP boost will help lessen the grind on your journey!
Tip #18 — Pokemon in your party that know an Egg move can teach your other (compatible) Pokemon how to use the move. Simply place two pokemon of the same egg group in your party and select Learn Moves on the pokemon you want to teach. If you're struggling early in the game, try catching lots of pokemon and seeing if you can get any Egg moves!
Tip #19 — Like Emerald, your Shiny odds are 1/8192, but you can make finding them easier by acquiring the Shiny Charm, rewarded after defeating all 16 gyms.
Tip #20 — You can Shiny hunt with DexNav! Target your selected pokemon, and you will have increased odds after 50 consecutive KOs. Be sure to bring a party member who can efficiently fight your target!
Tip #21 — If you give your leading Pokémon an Everstone, you will only encounter the base form of the Pokemon you would've seen, regardless of the Level of the wild pokemon.
Tip #22 — EV Training is made much easier with Power Items, available at Eight Island Battle Mart and Lilycove Dept. Store. While held, they increase your EV gain to 20 per defeated Pokemon!
Tip #23 — You can battle your own Pokemon! Just place them in Box 1 in slots 1-6, go to the blue nurse, click PC storage battle, and they'll have the exact features of that Pokemon. EXP, BP and Trainer Points are awarded via victory!
Tip #24 — Having a Sableye in your party without an item has a 10% chance to be holding a random type gem after each KO.
Pokémon Battle Styles
The Pokemon Battle Style is a new system introduced in Pokemon ROWE that allow players to modify the Base Stats of a Pokemon. This allows a new row of strategies as players can now optimize or correct stats, thus creating new roles and sets for existing pokemon. There are currently 8 different Pokemon Battle Styles to be unlocked as your pokemon level up, each one with their strengths and weaknesses. Utilizing them isn't mandatory, but be warned that your opponents will be!
Balanced Style — Level 1 Default stats.
Disruptor Style — Level 15 Trades 33% of offensive stats for 33% more Speed.
Tank Style — Level 23 Trades 33% of Speed for 25% more defensive Stats.
Striker Style — Level 31 Trades 33% of defensive stats for 25% more offensive stats.
Speedster Style — Level 39 Trades 33% of defensive stats for 33% more Speed.
Bruiser Style — Level 39 Trades 33% of offensive stats for 25% more defensive stats.
Juggernaut Style — Level 55 Trades 50% of Speed for 33% more offensive stats.
All Rounder — Level 63 Equally distributes all stats.
Exiolite Information
An Exiolite is an Exclusive item added for Pokémon ROWE. This item makes you able to use a First or Second Stage Pokémon without having to worry about their stats. This item boosts your Pokémon's Base Stats to match the ones of their final evolution, if your Pokémon is strong enough (level-wise). For example, if you use an Exiolite on a Level 10 Bulbasaur it will still have Bulbasaur's stats since it is not strong enough to evolve into Ivysaur, however if you use it after it becomes level 16 it will gain Ivysaur's base stats — and if you use it at level 36 it will gain Venusaur's base stats because Ivysaur can become Venusaur at that level. Even though Stone or Trade Evolutions don't have specific Evolution Levels, Exiolite stills gives them their evolution Stats at certain Levels. Plus, if you see, for example, a second stage that evolves by Stone, this will also work for the first stage so Pichu can gain Raichu Stats by using an Exiolite at a specific level, shown below.
Notes
- Using an Exiolite Stops a Pokémon from Evolving. You can remove the exiolite effect by using another one or pressing Select on the Extra Info screen of your Summary.
- You can get more Exiolites in Rustboro City's Devon Corp, on the first Floor, or Oldale's Battle Mart.
- Pokémon with Multiple evolutions will gain the stats of the evolution that has the lowest PokéDex Number.
- Pokémon not on this List will gain a Boost at their normal evolution level, and every Pokémon with an evolution can gain a boost with an Exiolite.
- Not all pokemon get the entirety of their evolution Stats for balance reasons. For example, Vigoroth and Pikachu become stronger but won't have the Stats of Slaking and Raichu.
- Pokémon with an Exiolite Boost will gain a little Blue Icon in their Summary Screen.
- Pokémon with an Exiolite Boost will no longer be able to use the Eviolite boost.
- Pokémon with an Evolution on a different Regional Form can also gain an Exiolite Boost on a specific Level. That's the case for Linoone, Mr. Mime and Farfetch'd.

Trainer Skills
Trainer Skills are a fundamental part of Pokémon ROWE meant to deepen & enhance your playthrough experience. You can access the Trainer Skills screen in your Start menu after you begin the game. Each time you defeat an enemy Pokémon or Pokémon Trainer, whether you catch it or defeat them outright, you will gain an amount of Trainer Experience which will award you Skill Points at new milestones. Your Skill Points can be exchanged on the Trainer Skills screen by allotting them to the following skills as they become available using the + or - buttons. Trainer Skills also carry over into New Game+.
XP Boost - Trainer Gain more Trainer Experience from battles. This will increase the overall amount of Trainer XP you receive from catching & defeating Pokémon.
XP Boost - Pokemon Pokemon gain more experience from battles. This will increase the XP your Pokémon receive to level up after it KOs an opponent.
Gold Rush Gain more gold from battles. This will increase the prize money received after battles.
Bargain Get discount in shops. This skill decreases the cost of PokéMart & other store items by 1% per level.
Sniper Ball Ups the chance of capturing. This skill does not improve Pokéball odds; it gives you a higher chance to perform a critical capture.
Step Heal Gain 1 HP each 100 Steps. (Bugged - Does not function)
Rebirth Has a chance of reviving a fainted Pokemon after a battle. This gives your fainted Pokémon the chance to revive in your party without healing.
Stay Away Increases the steps of a repel.
Skill Restore PP percent restored after winning a battle. Restores moves' PP after winning — very handy for Shiny hunting.
Joy Boost Increases Happiness faster. This increases the amount of Happiness your Pokémon would receive any time they would gain Friendship.
Revitalize Restores HP by a percentage after winning a battle. (Bugged)
Deep Scan Starts a Dexnav search at a higher search level. Helps to make Shiny hunting or Egg move hunting faster.
Eggcelerate Boosts the chances of getting a Baby Pokemon in the Daycare. This increases the odds of two Pokémon in the same egg group spawning a baby Pokémon at the Day-Care. Note: you will not receive Eggs in ROWE.
Rare Sight Boosts the chances of getting Hidden Pokemon. Hidden Pokémon appear naturally after 100 encounters in an area. This skill may save you time searching for them.
Quick Exit Boosts the chances of running away from wild Pokemon. This skill increases your odds of escape when Running from a battle. Note: Ghosts cannot automatically Run from any foe in ROWE.
Bonus Battle Boost the chances of getting double Battle Points from trainers. BP is essentially everywhere in ROWE, and can be used for many useful purchases. This skill gives you the chance to earn double BP any time you would have earned it.
Loot Boost Boosts the chances of wild Pokemon dropping their items. Increases the odds that wild Pokémon hold items. Use Knock Off, Thief, etc. or catch the Pokémon to collect the items.
HP Boost Boosts the HP Stat of all your Pokemon. Essential — These skills replace Pokémon IVs in this ROM hack. Each point invested will increase all your Pokémon's IVs by 3 in that particular stat. This includes Pokémon in your PC as well as Pokémon you have yet to catch. (The final point in each of these Skills is worth 4 IVs, not 3.)
Attack Boost Boosts the Attack Stat of all your Pokemon.
Defense Boost Boosts the Defense Stat of all your Pokemon.
Sp. Atk Boost Boosts the Special Attack Stat of all your Pokemon.
Sp. Def Boost Boosts the Special Defense Stat of all your Pokemon.
Speed Boost Boosts the Speed Stat of all your Pokemon.
Max PP Boost Boosts Max PP of every move. Expensive, but greatly extends your Pokémon's battle readiness.
Rock Smash Boost Boosts the chances of getting items via Rock Smash. Certain items can only be found via smashing Rock Smash rocks. This skill increases the odds of that happening per rock.
EVs Changes Boosts modification cap for manual EV spreads in the summary screen. Allows you to automatically allocate an amount of EVs equal to your skill level. Can be used to quickly train your Pokémon as it cuts down on time spent in battles, or when fully maximized, allows you to train them entirely in your Summary page.
Key Item + Badge Rewards

Outdated Notes (2.0.3.1)
- Mega Blastoise signature move has the wrong accuracy description.
- Raticate sig. move description is going beyond the screen.
- There is a typo in Pichu signature move. It's written "Reckoil".
- Kanto Persian sig. move description does not include the flinch chance.
- Alolan Persian sig. move description has the wrong BP.
- Kanto Electrode sig. move description has the wrong BP.
- Galarian Weezing sig. move description is different from its actual BP and Acc.
- Relicanth sig. move description is going beyond the screen.
- Starmie sig. move description has the wrong BP.
- Snubbull sig. move description code has a missing Enter/line.
- Dudunsparce can't learn U-turn after evolving and its sig. move has 80BP instead of 90.
- Lanturn sig. move has 70BP instead of 80.
- Mega Scizor sig. move has 70BP instead of 75 like the description says.
- Crobat sig. move has 10% chance of lowering Defense instead of 30.
- Ludicolo sig. move is not available. There are "/*" around it and dunno what that does. I still wrote it and will review later.
- Bidoof and Bibarel's sig. move descriptions are missing a "/n". Their texts in game are unreadable.
- Rampardos has 0 on SIGNATURE_MOD_EFFECT_CHANCE and if that is removing the flinch chance then the description must be changed.
- Skuntank sig. move has 95 accuracy instead of 100.
- Toxicroak's Sucker Punch secondary effect has 20% chance instead of 30.
- Lopunny's sig. move secondary effect code is missing a ".chance = 30" when compared to other moves with added effects. So, comparing to Charmander's code, Lopunny always infatuates. The same issue was noticed with Delphox, Trevenant and Gourgeist.
- Spiritomb's Hex has 30% chance of burning instead of 20.
- Galvantula sig. move has the wrong BP description. It's 75 instead of 70.
- Malamar sig. move doesn't have the sleep effect.
- Aegislash-Blade does not keep the signature move of its base form. It has a different one that just adds ghost type to sacred sword. Also, both forms don't seem to have Steel type on Sacred Sword.
- Florges sig. move has 35% chance of setting Misty Terrain instead of 100. Also, the chance of dropping the target's Special Attack remains the same.
- Wimpod's sig. move description has "it it" written. One should be "if" given Golisopod's description.
- Gigaton Hammer is dropping Tinkaton's Speed. I thought it was a signature effect but doesn't seem so.
Notes (2.0.3.2)
- Honedge Slash has 70BP instead of 85.
- Mega Blastoise sig. move does not hit both targets.
- Mawile does not learn Hyper Fang.
- Honchkrow sig. move has 27BP instead of 25.
- Emboar sig. move has 95 accuracy instead of 90.
- Both Samurott sig. move descriptions are missing a "that": "...90BP move THAT sets up Spikes..."
