About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Labradorite is a big overhaul of Crystal with one clear goal: make Johto feel more open and worth exploring.

The roster has been expanded to 290+ Pokémon — nothing from the original 251 was cut, but species from later generations have been mixed in throughout the region. It keeps the Gen 2 feel while giving you a lot more variety in what you actually run into.

There's also a decent chunk of quality-of-life work done here. HMs are gone, Running Shoes are in from the start, and the PC has been cleaned up. None of it changes how the game is structured; it just gets rid of the stuff that made Crystal feel clunky by modern standards.

If you want a Crystal playthrough that feels familiar but has more room to breathe, this is worth a look.
