About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Evolved starts with a simple idea and commits to it completely: every single Gen 1 Pokémon gets new evolutions.
The original 151 has been expanded into a roster of 354, with every line receiving at least one new stage — all with custom sprites, Pokédex entries, and shiny variants. It's not a handful of additions scattered around, it's a systematic overhaul of the entire Kanto Pokédex. Team building, progression, and balance all shift significantly as a result.
To support the expansion, stats and movesets have been fully reworked across the board, and evolution methods have been redesigned to fit the new lines. The Physical/Special split is in alongside select modern mechanics, bringing the battle system closer to what later generations feel like without pulling it too far from its roots.
On the accessibility side, infinite Rare Candies and EXP Share from the start cut out the grind entirely. The idea is to spend time experimenting with the new evolution lines rather than farming levels to see them.
It's a Kanto hack that gives you a genuinely different reason to care about every Pokémon in the region — which for a Gen 1 revisit is harder to pull off than it sounds.
