About This ROM Hack
Poke47 is a from-scratch disassembly overhaul of Pokémon Emerald that completely replaces the original experience with a Gen 4–7 focused roster and modern mechanics.
The core idea is simple but impactful: there are no Generation 1–3 Pokémon left—every encounter has been replaced and rebalanced.
Built on the foundation of the developer’s previous project (Altered Emerald), this version trims complexity while adding meaningful depth. It introduces custom abilities, new moves, updated systems, and a modern battle engine, all while keeping gameplay intuitive and familiar.
The hack also includes a large number of quality-of-life features, making it smoother and faster to play compared to vanilla Emerald.
Key Features
Full Gen 4–7 Pokédex Replacement: Every Pokémon from Gen 1–3 is removed and replaced with Pokémon from Generations 4 to 7, all with updated balance and movepools.
Complete Pokémon Reworks: Each Pokémon has new or improved movesets, abilities, and roles, designed to feel fresh but intuitive.
