About This ROM Hack
Super Mariomon is Too Many Productions’ most ambitious project to date, blending the core mechanics of Pokémon with the worlds, characters, and charm of the Mario franchise. Instead of catching Pokémon, players “capture” characters and creatures from the Mushroom Kingdom, exploring a completely original region designed specifically for this crossover experience.
Built on Pokémon Emerald, the hack heavily modernizes gameplay with extensive quality-of-life features, optional difficulty systems, and custom visuals throughout nearly every aspect of the game.
Story Overview
Princess Peach announces a grand game across the Mushroom Kingdom: the first participant to collect all eight Power Stars will be granted a wish. You, the player, set off on this lighthearted adventure alongside Professor E. Gadd, racing against Bowser—who has plans of his own.
The narrative is intentionally simple and playful, focusing more on exploration, freedom, and fun rather than heavy drama. While Bowser serves as the primary antagonist, the experience is designed to feel open-ended, encouraging players to explore the Mushroom Kingdom at their own pace.
