About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Re:Universe is a GBA ROM hack built on Fire Red that reimagines the Kanto region with new areas, side quests, and mechanics. The hack includes unique features like Res Mega Evolutions, full battle AI improvements, and enhanced exploration with soaring and underwater diving.
This is Aeon961’s first ROM hack and aims to deliver both nostalgia and new experiences for veteran players of the Kanto region.
Story Overview
Kanto was once a peaceful region, safeguarded by legendary trainers. Five years ago, the original champion defeated Team Rocket, restoring order.
Now, Team Rocket has returned, stronger, more dangerous, and with a secret plan that threatens all of Kanto. You play as Red, the undefeated Champion, who must rise again to confront the new threat and protect the Pokémon world. Along the way, you’ll explore new locations, encounter side quests, and battle both familiar and new foes.
