About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Phantom Order is a hard, story-focused Pokémon Emerald ROM hack created as the developer’s first-ever ROM hacking project. The hack emphasizes difficulty, exploration, and long-term progression, with frequent beta updates that gradually expand the game’s scope.
The project is designed to evolve over time, introducing new mechanics, Pokémon reworks, Megas, and story content across multiple beta versions. To support this extended development cycle, a special area called Beta Land was created, giving players meaningful endgame content even before the full release.
Story Overview
Pokémon Phantom Order places strong emphasis on narrative and mystery. Alongside the main story progression, players can uncover side quests, hidden areas, and secret locations scattered throughout the region.
Some discoveries are intentionally obscure, encouraging community collaboration. Players who uncover secrets are invited to share their findings on the official Discord server, earning recognition as in-universe “detectives.” As development continues, the story expands with each beta release.
