About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Phantom Order is a story-focused ROM hack of Pokémon Emerald created by star0dragon707. The project aims to provide a challenging gameplay experience combined with expanded story elements, side quests, and new gameplay mechanics.
The hack introduces a large roster of Pokémon with extensive changes to stats, movesets, and evolution lines. Modern mechanics such as the physical/special split, level caps, and additional items have also been added. Mega Evolutions play a major role in the game and are handled differently compared to official Pokémon titles.
Beyond battles, the game encourages exploration through secret locations and side quests. The developer also created a special area called Beta Land where players can challenge strong trainers and experience additional content while the game continues development across multiple beta releases.
Story Overview
Pokémon Phantom Order expands on the traditional Pokémon adventure with additional story elements and quests. Players explore a new narrative set within the familiar structure of a Pokémon journey while encountering unusual locations and mysterious events.
The game introduces new forms of gyms known as Kroza, as well as stronger legendary encounters and multiple story-based challenges. Along the way, players can discover hidden areas and complete side quests that add extra depth to the adventure.
Since the game is still in beta development, the full storyline is expected to expand across future updates.
