About This ROM Hack
Pokémon MisboRed is a first-time ROM hack project that focuses on delivering a clean, familiar FireRed experience with meaningful improvements. Instead of overhauling the game, it keeps the original structure intact while introducing increased difficulty and practical quality-of-life upgrades.
The idea here is simple: make FireRed feel better to play without losing its identity. Boss battles are reworked to be more engaging, while weaker Pokémon and underused types receive small buffs to improve viability. At the same time, convenience features reduce grind and frustration, making the game smoother overall.
It’s not meant to be a hardcore Kaizo challenge—just a more refined and slightly tougher version of the classic Kanto journey.
