About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Let’s GO Pikachu (GBA) is a FireRed-based demake of the Nintendo Switch title Pokémon Let’s GO Pikachu, built using modern enhancement frameworks (HUBOL DPE CFRU). The hack recreates the full Kanto journey with updated mechanics while preserving the Let’s GO-style experience, focusing heavily on capturing Pokémon and revisiting the classic region in a modernized GBA format.

The core experience follows the original Let’s GO Pikachu storyline, but adapted to FireRed’s structure with expanded systems, updated mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements inspired by newer Pokémon games.

Story Overview

The storyline mirrors the original Let’s GO Pikachu: players start their journey in Kanto, aim to become the Pokémon Champion, and encounter Team Rocket along the way. All major story beats, including interactions with Red, Blue, and Green, as well as gym battles and postgame content, are faithfully adapted for the GBA version.

The main objective remains catching all Pokémon while experiencing Kanto’s regions and story events.
