About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Chaos Black: Recreated is a restoration and reinterpretation project of the original Chaos Black ROM hack by Enix-Zae. Instead of being a completely original hack, this version aims to rebuild and refine what Chaos Black was meant to be, based on limited surviving material such as in-game text and creator videos.

The goal of this project is to move Chaos Black away from being remembered as just a “FireRed with Fakemon” and instead present it as a fully realized experience with its own regions, identity, and story direction.

Because of the lack of complete original data, this recreation is not perfectly accurate. However, it is carefully designed to feel closer to the creator’s original vision, while also fixing bugs, improving structure, and adding new content where necessary.

Story Overview

Players start in the newly crafted regions of Magore and Beaulés, exploring diverse cities, routes, and environments while collecting badges from the Gyms. The story involves navigating the mysteries of Chaos World, challenging powerful Gym Leaders, and encountering the unique fakemon that inhabit these regions.
