About This Game

Pokémon Fire Ash is a large-scale fangame that recreates Ash Ketchum’s journey from the anime in a game format, using the visual style of FireRed/LeafGreen while expanding far beyond their scope.

Built in RPG Maker XP with Pokémon Essentials, it includes multiple regions, hundreds of Pokémon up to Generation 8, and a wide range of modern mechanics like Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax.

Development has changed hands, with the original creator Reinhartmax passing the project to a new lead developer and team. The game is still actively being expanded, especially in terms of postgame and quality-of-life improvements.

Story Overview

Pokémon Fire Ash loosely follows the story of Ash Ketchum from the Pokémon anime, allowing players to relive his journey across multiple regions.

You begin in Kanto and progress through Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and even the Orange Islands. Along the way, you’ll battle Gym Leaders, rivals, and companions that mirror the anime, recreating iconic moments and encounters.

The game doesn’t strictly copy every event but captures the overall progression and feel of Ash’s adventure—traveling from region to region, forming bonds with Pokémon, and taking on increasingly powerful challenges.

In addition to the main journey, the game includes extensive postgame content, such as rematching Gym Leaders, battling through multiple Pokémon Leagues again, and participating in special events like the Masters 8 tournament.
