Pokémon Climax is a FireRed-based ROM hack set in the newly introduced Linnhe region, a land inspired by Australia and defined by extreme biodiversity and unexplained Pokémon mutations.
The region is undergoing a biological crisis where existing Pokémon are mutating and new species are appearing, disrupting the natural balance. To investigate this phenomenon, a young scientist named Rennac is sent by the Pokémon Professors’ Council.
What begins as a scientific mission gradually transforms into a deep mystery involving ancient history, forgotten civilizations, and a dormant threat that could reshape the entire region. Unlike traditional Pokémon games, progression is not tied to Gyms or a Pokémon League, but instead to a more structured and narrative-driven Dungeon-Boss system.
The result is a more atmospheric and investigative Pokémon experience focused on exploration, discovery, and escalating danger.
