About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Volt Yellow: Anime Version is a Gen 3 reimagining of Pokémon Yellow built on FireRed, heavily inspired by the Pokémon anime. You play directly as Ash, traveling through Kanto with a partner Pikachu that visually stays with you, emphasizing their bond.

The project expands on a base created by Boonzeet, with the current developer adding major anime-style touches, sprite work, and gameplay flavor to make it feel like an upgraded, stylized “anime edition” of Yellow in GBA form.

Story Overview

You take the role of Ash Ketchum, beginning your journey in Kanto with Pikachu as your partner Pokémon. Like the anime, your adventure follows the classic goal of becoming a Pokémon Master while encountering familiar elements such as Jessie and James, iconic starter Pokémon, and anime-style companion interactions.

After completing the main story, additional legendary encounters await on special islands, encouraging post-game exploration.
