About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Turquoise is a FireRed-based hack that reimagines Kanto with new maps, characters, and gameplay mechanics. Players experience a story-driven adventure featuring Team Rocket and new Pokémon while exploring hidden areas, underwater routes, and rival encounters. The hack allows choice of protagonist, updated scripts, and a mix of original and custom Pokémon designs, delivering an expanded and thrilling gameplay experience.

 

Story Overview

Giovanni discovers that his absence allowed Mario to run Team Rocket poorly, risking the organization. Meanwhile, you wake up in your hometown of Tripletwig Town to find your PokeTicket has arrived. You visit Professor Mango’s lab to get your first Pokémon and are immediately drawn into the unfolding adventure. Strange Pokémon cries near Harmony River hint at unusual occurrences, and you must investigate while navigating new challenges, rival encounters, and Team Rocket schemes.
