About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Ruby Generation Discovery is a ROM hack that lets players explore Hoenn again while uncovering events and Pokémon from the 4th generation before their official release. The hack adds new storylines, secret labs, and legendary encounters, allowing for a fresh yet familiar adventure in the Hoenn Region.
Story Overview
The adventure begins when Professor Birch discovers three rare Pokémon that have arrived in Hoenn. After observing the player in Rustboro City, Birch returns to his lab to conduct research.
Following your victory over Norman, the fifth Gym Leader and your father, you head to Birch's second laboratory and learn that the three Pokémon are from the Sinnoh Region.
After confronting Team Magma and capturing Groudon, the player returns the Red Orb to Mt. Pyre. Suddenly, Celebi teleports you to a Team Magma hideout that has been taken over by Team Aqua, where a mysterious telepathic voice urges you to stop them from capturing Kyogre. After defeating Archie, the player returns safely to Mt. Pyre.
The story focuses on legendary encounters, secret discoveries, and new events that weren’t present in the original Pokémon Ruby.
