About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Moon GBA is an ambitious FireRed-based ROM hack that aims to recreate the Alola Region experience from Pokémon Sun and Moon within the limitations of the GBA engine. Unlike many Emerald-based Alola hacks, this project rebuilds the journey from the ground up using FireRed as its foundation.
Although currently released as a demo, the hack already showcases core Alola concepts such as regional forms, Generation 7 Pokémon, and the island-based storyline structure, offering players an early look at a full Alola remake on GBA.
Story Overview
Pokémon Moon GBA follows an Alola-inspired storyline, departing from the traditional Kanto narrative. Players explore the Alola Region, encounter Alola-native Pokémon, and experience a plot modeled after Pokémon Sun and Moon rather than FireRed.
As this is a demo version, the story is not yet complete, but it establishes the foundation of the Alola journey, including the region’s atmosphere, Pokémon distribution, and narrative direction.
