It doesn’t change the core structure of Johto, but it completely reworks how battles feel by making trainers smarter, Pokémon stronger, and battles far less forgiving.
The focus is not on adding a new story or region, but on reshaping the entire difficulty curve. Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and even regular trainers are rebuilt to act like competitive-level opponents. The result is a version of Crystal where planning, team building, and matchup knowledge matter far more than in the original game.
