About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Naillevaihcam (Machiavellian backwards) is a 30-day contest winner of Anthroyd's 2nd Make A Great Map (MAGM) competition. This hack was designed under the theme of the “Machiavellian Mountains,” and it represents a unique conceptual map rather than a traditional game.
Set in a single, mysterious realm, the experience is intentionally unnerving and puzzle-heavy, designed to make players question reality while navigating a surreal environment. No expansions or post-contest updates were made, aside from a few fixes to ensure stability.
Story Overview
The player enters Naillevaihcam, a realm of uncertain origin inhabited by equally mysterious people. Names are meaningless, communication is inconsistent, and perception itself seems unreliable. Reality bends around the player, and a particular entity takes a special interest in your journey. The objective is to explore, question, and uncover truths—if you can discern them.
