Story Overview
Legends speak of a kind caregiver who devoted his life to nurturing Pokémon, healing the wounded and forming deep bonds with those under his care. Among them was a frail Marowak, which grew strong through his love and attention.
When a critically injured Charmander arrived, the caregiver was forced to devote most of his time to saving it. Feeling abandoned and replaced, the Marowak’s sadness turned into resentment. This resentment eventually erupted into a brutal confrontation, ending with Marowak fleeing the farm, believing it no longer had a place in the caregiver’s heart.
Years later, reports spread of a rogue Marowak terrorizing the region. The caregiver recognizes the truth immediately — and before he can act, fate brings Marowak back to him. Authorities intervene, arresting the caregiver for harboring a criminal Pokémon.
In an act of loyalty and revenge, Marowak — alongside Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee — stages a daring jailbreak to rescue the man who once saved its life.
Years pass. Governments change. The region of Armonia is reshaped. And strange events begin to surface once more…
