About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Clover is one of the largest and most ambitious FireRed ROM hacks ever created, featuring two entirely original regions, hundreds of custom Fakemon, and a completely rewritten game engine.
Originally started in late 2014 as a rough parody project, Clover evolved into a fully-fledged Pokémon experience developed over 4+ years by 40+ contributors. With an estimated 100+ hours of gameplay, the hack combines deep mechanics, brutal difficulty, and an unapologetic parody tone inspired by 4chan’s /vp/ culture.
- Content Warning: This hack contains offensive humor, mature language, and dark satire. It is not suitable for all audiences.
Story Overview
You begin your journey in the Fochun Region, later expanding into the Ebin Isles, encountering a world filled with bizarre characters, twisted humor, and absurd yet surprisingly deep lore.
While parody is at the forefront, Clover still delivers a structured Pokémon-style journey with gyms, rivals, evil teams, legendary encounters, and a massive post-game. The story frequently breaks Pokémon traditions while still respecting the series’ core progression.
Expect satire, meta-jokes, frustration, triumph, and suffering—sometimes all at once.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Pokémon Clover a joke hack or a serious game?A: Both. It’s a parody at heart, but mechanically it’s one of the deepest and hardest Pokémon ROM hacks available.
Q: How long is Pokémon Clover?

Q: Does Clover use real Pokémon?
A: No. All 386 Pokémon are original Fakemon, each with unique designs, stats, and abilities.

A: You can try—but Clover is notorious for destroying Nuzlockes.
