About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Celestium is a dark, story-heavy Pokémon FireRed ROM hack that drastically reimagines the Pokémon world. Instead of the usual lighthearted adventure, the game presents a post-apocalyptic setting where Pokémon are no longer the dominant force.
A mysterious planetary collision introduced powerful new beings called Emon (Fakemon), pushing the world into chaos and war. The hack focuses on limited resources, survival, lore, and moral weight, making it very different from traditional Pokémon experiences.
Story Overview
Years ago, the planet Tyes collided with Earth, unleashing strange creatures known as Emon. These beings were far stronger than regular Pokémon, turning Pokémon into tools of war and causing massive loss of life.
Trainers from across the globe attempted to eliminate the Emon but failed. Five years later, the world remains broken.
You play as a ten-year-old child living in a village untouched by the infestation. Your father once fought in the war and never returned. One day, whispers spread about a mysterious device capable of capturing Emon—a device created by a scientist who died before completing his work.
Summoned by the village elder, you are chosen to leave home and begin a journey that may determine the fate of the world. Armed with only a weak Charmander, running shoes, fading memories of your father, and hope, your journey into Celestium begins.
