About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Catastrophe is a Generation 7–inspired ROM hack based on Pokémon FireRed that introduces Alola-region Pokémon, mechanics, and concepts into the classic Kanto experience. While the main storyline follows FireRed’s structure, the hack shifts its focus toward Alola content, including new Pokémon, forms, and features.
As of version v0.6, the project is still in demo status, with several systems and areas under development.
Story Overview
The core story mirrors Pokémon FireRed, allowing players to journey through Kanto while encountering Pokémon from the Alola region. Alongside the familiar adventure, players can explore a small, in-progress portion of the Alola region, which is planned to expand in future updates.
The hack emphasizes the transition into newer Pokémon generations while gradually integrating mechanics and balance changes to support the expanded Pokédex.
