About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Alternate Nusantara is a unique Indonesian-language ROM hack that blends traditional Pokémon gameplay with a strong focus on school life, community culture, and regional identity. Built on Pokémon FireRed, the hack introduces a fresh setting inspired by Indonesian Pokémon communities and social structures.
Unlike typical Pokémon adventures that begin immediately with a journey, this hack places heavy emphasis on academy life—featuring student activities, friendships, and progression toward becoming a licensed Pokémon trainer.
The game also integrates modern mechanics such as updated movesets, newer-generation Pokémon, and competitive battle elements. However, it is still in early development, meaning content, balance, and polish are incomplete and subject to change in future updates.
Story Overview
The game is set in the Point Region, home to two long-standing rival Pokémon academies:
- RFTC
- POTC
You play as a student of RFTC Academy, alongside your two close friends, Dallas and Seriva.
For years, the three of you have lived the academy lifestyle—studying Pokémon theory, participating in sports events, battling in virtual Pokémon simulations, and enjoying daily student life.
After finally graduating and earning your official Pokémon license, you are free to pursue your own journey. However, the rivalry between academies, clans, and trainers ensures that your adventure is just beginning.
