About This ROM Hack
Pokémon FireRed Delta is a creative overhaul of Kanto built around one central idea: replace almost every Pokémon with an original Delta variant. 149 out of 151 have been redesigned from the ground up — new sprites, adjusted stats, updated movepools, and a fresh identity for each one.
The concept draws from Pokémon Insurgence's Delta species idea, but the designs here are original interpretations rather than direct lifts. Every trainer, Gym Leader, and NPC team has been adjusted to match the new roster, so the whole game feels built around the Delta theme rather than just having it layered on top.
What's interesting is what the hack deliberately leaves out. There are no quality-of-life additions, no modern mechanics, no Physical/Special split. The goal was a pure Gen 3 experience — familiar in structure and feel, just visually and mechanically refreshed through the lens of the Delta concept.
If you know Kanto well and want a run where almost nothing in the wild is what you expect, this is a genuinely different way to experience it.
