About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Inflamed Red is a quality-of-life difficulty ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed that greatly expands the available Pokémon roster while modernizing gameplay mechanics. The hack allows players to catch Pokémon from Generations 1 through 8, including Pokémon originally introduced in the Hisui region.
The project aims to create a challenging but flexible experience similar in spirit to difficulty hacks like Inclement Emerald. While battles are designed to be tougher—with stronger trainers and smarter Gym Leaders—players are not forced to engage with competitive systems such as EV training if they do not want to.
To support different playstyles, the hack includes multiple optional mechanics and convenience systems, such as IV-perfect Pokémon modes, EV training shortcuts, portable PC access, and toggleable EXP Share. The game also adds additional rivals, raid battles, and graphical upgrades inspired by later Pokémon generations.
Overall, Pokemon Inflamed Red attempts to combine modern Pokémon mechanics, large Pokédex availability, and customizable difficulty options within the familiar Kanto adventure.
