Pokemon Blazed Glazed General Changes
Author: tudou
Gameplay & Mechanics Changes
Battle Mechanics
- This hack uses Doesntknowhowtoplay's Physical/Special split, so Counter, Mirror Coat, and weather interactions all behave correctly. Notable side effect: Rock-types gain boosted Special Defense in sandstorm, which may be relevant at some points.
- Hidden Power always has base 60 power (Gen 6 mechanics).
- Steel-type no longer resists Dark and Ghost, matching Gen VI.
Level Curve & Progression
- The level curve has been adjusted from the original Glazed, most significantly in Tunod. Expect to need a fair amount of grinding, though you won't fall drastically behind.
- You must defeat Silver before accessing Whitewood. Head west from Olivine after meeting Ernest in front of Azalea Town Gym.
Pokémon Changes
Riolu evolves at level 25 instead of by friendship.
Eevee has been split into two forms:
- Eevee-Def (default) — evolves into Vaporeon (Water Stone), Umbreon (Moon Stone), Leafeon (Leaf Stone), or Sylveon (Sun Stone).
- Eevee-Off (offensive) — evolves into Jolteon (Thunder Stone), Flareon (Fire Stone), Espeon (Sun Stone), or Glaceon (Moon Stone).
Use a Rare Candy (all Eevees come with one) to toggle between Def and Off forms. Both forms are statistically and aesthetically identical — the only difference is their evolutions.
Scarf Pikachu is no longer a pushover — it has significantly improved stats and a wide movepool based on Pikachu events. From level 40 onward it knows Icicle Crash, so keep your Torterras away. In the Forest Pass fight, it only knows Growl.
Rotom forms use Smogon abbreviations and evolve via evolutionary stones:
| Form | Type | Stone |
|---|---|---|
| Rotom-W | Water | Water Stone |
| Rotom-H | Fire | Fire Stone |
| Rotom-C | Grass | Leaf Stone |
| Rotom-F | Ice | Moon Stone |
| Rotom-S | Flying | Thunder Stone |

Move Tutors & Relearners
- Northcoast Town Mudkip — teaches Ice Punch.
- Palmtree Resort Mudkip — teaches Rock Slide.
- Serenity Isle tutors — Spore tutor now teaches Curse; Leaf Blade tutor now teaches Seed Bomb. All Pokémon can learn both.
- Move Relearner (Seaspray or Blackthorn City) — most fully evolved Pokémon have exclusive level 1 moves, so check back often.
Team Fusion
Grunts in Tunod now carry Fire, Ice, or Electric Pokémon in addition to Fighting types, reflecting the most coveted TMs in the region. Drudges do not follow this theme.
Gyms & Locations
- Goldenrod Gym is now Fairy-typed — the gym trainers will make this clear.
- Northcoast Peak, Johto's Victory Road ice area, and Nitro Isle are now populated with Delibird (raised EXP yield) — great grinding spots.
- The Day/Night Clerk in Goldenrod's Underground now sells significantly better items — don't miss them.
Legendary Events
Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde are all encountered via events in Ilex Forest:
- Encounter Xerneas and Yveltal first.
- Then head to Celebi's Shrine to encounter Zygarde.
