About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Sors is the second installment in the VytroVerse ROM hack series developed by Vytron. Built on Pokémon FireRed, the game introduces a completely new region called Hupest, an original story, and several custom gameplay systems that expand the traditional Pokémon experience.
The hack blends a strong narrative focus with exploration and side quests, while also introducing a new battle mechanic called Eclipsing. Players can explore the world using features such as soaring and experience a dynamic day and night cycle.
Version 1.3 represents the completed full release of the game, including the full storyline and post-game content. It also features numerous improvements and bug fixes compared to earlier versions.
Story Overview
The history of the Hupest Region is marked by an extraordinary celestial event. 300 years ago, a massive lunar eclipse occurred, followed by a full solar eclipse, triggering mysterious changes in Pokémon behavior, appearance, and temperament — a period recorded as The Grand Eclipse.
Centuries later, a scientific organization studies this phenomenon in an attempt to harness its power, leading to the creation of Eclipse Pokémon — Pokémon that take on unique forms or typings due to Eclipse influence. As an aspiring trainer from Hupest, your journey weaves through modern science, tradition, cosmic mystery, and the unfolding consequences of Eclipse energy.
Your adventure pits you against villainous factions aiming to recreate or control the Eclipse, pushing you to uncover hidden secrets, battle new challenges, and explore every corner of the vast Hupest region.

Known Bugs & Issues
- Demo save files should not be used with the full release.
- PokéMart graphics may appear glitched while shopping.
- Newly registered Pokémon briefly display as Rattata, but the correct Pokémon is still registered.
- The summary screen level indicator may show small stray pixels.
- After riding Latias for the first time, players should not dismount at Inizio Isle before restoring the gem on Solare Island; they may become stuck until soaring becomes available.
