About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Let’s Go Mewtwo is a completed GBA ROM hack by Unbeatable Red based on Pokémon FireRed. It follows the original Generation I storyline closely, beginning in Pallet Town, where the player and rival receive their starter Pokémon from Professor Oak before setting out on their journey.

While the story foundation remains familiar, the hack heavily expands gameplay systems, visuals, and Pokémon availability. It introduces a massive number of modern mechanics and content additions, transforming FireRed into a large-scale experience with far more depth, variety, and replayability. The focus is less on rewriting the narrative and more on enhancing every other aspect of the game to modern standards.

The result is a version of FireRed that retains its classic structure but is layered with expanded Pokémon access, updated systems, and modern battle features.
