A focus on player choice. Before you begin the game, you're given a summary of your journey thus far and make important decisions in a choose-your-own-adventure format that decides what kind of Pokemon, items, and other things you begin the game with. The choices you make in the intro will have benefits and consequences that follow you even into the endgame content.

In this episode, you join forces with Cynthia, the Sinnoh region champion, and embark on a mission to snuff out a new branch of Team Rocket that's begun to influence the region. The story may be simple, but don't think that means it'll be predictable. The events that unfold and the choices you have to make will be one hell of a surprise.

Fighting in the middle of a grassy field will be much different from fighting in the middle of a factory. Pokemon Climax only has field effects for the first mid-boss and the final boss. For the most part, you won't have to prepare for them too much. However, all optional postgame battles have various field effects.
Your Choices Matter: The choices you make in the game will alter things like your starting lineup of Pokemon, the TMs you have access to, and even who you fight as the final boss. Not only does this make every playthrough different, it also creates huge opportunities for replayability.
