Pokémon Thunder Yellow is a French Pokémon FireRed ROM hack that faithfully recreates the experience of Pokémon Yellow Version using the more advanced Game Boy Advance engine. Rather than introducing a new story or region, the project aims to modernize the original Yellow adventure while preserving its memorable events, Pokémon distribution, and overall progression.
The hack recreates many of the defining features of Pokémon Yellow, including starting with Pikachu, encountering the original Kanto Pokémon roster, obtaining all three Kanto starters through the story, and following the classic trainer design.
